Made Tonga Toast today from the Allears recipe. It was pretty dang good if I say so. Family loved it and it made DH and me feel even closer to being there in Dec.

Love the Live reports! We have some of the same ADRs as you Angela. We have GFC (dinner) and Tusker House (lunch). Hope you enjoyed them:) We're also doing the photo shoot but ours will be at the GF. I'm hoping they keep our sitting fee at $25 not $75:scared1: as we ordered the prepaid CD at $99..

Please forgive my ignorance....:confused3 but what does getting "boo'd" mean? We arrive tomorrow  and am curious. I am sure it has something to do w/ Halloween but what actually does occur?

Just bring along your email confirmation and they will just charge the $25... at least that's what they did today.

The session was good, but it was so hot that the sweat was just pouring down my face, I hope the pics turn out ok.

We didn't make it to GFC tonight as it was an early ADR (5pm) and DS/DH were still in the pool. I did't have the heart to make them get out. So I called and cancelled. I did manage to get a 7.30pm ADR at Kona, but have now called and cancelled that too as DS played too hard and has fallen asleep on the bed watching TV. He will probably sleep right through now. DH has gone to see if they will do Sushi to go from the Sushi Bar at Kona as I was really looking forward to it. CC has prepacked sushi, but it doesn't look that appealing.

If he has no success we might get room service and have a quiet night in. Although I am seriously thinking about hitting MK since there are EMH and it's open until midnight.

Stephanie, sounds like you are having a great time. I haven't seen a single LGMH and I have been looking.

We only have 1 more full day tomorrow as we leave Tuesday 9am. I am still undecided which park to do. We have spent the least time at AK, only a few hours, and I would really like to go back. But it's so hot there. I think we will either go to MK or Epcot. Will have to see what DS/DH prefer.

Thanks for reading.

Cheers
Angela

Does anyone know of a link to show me room locations. Im going on a land and sea in January and dont know yet where my room will be, but thought that maybe I could request a good location. That brings me to my second question. Does anyone know if Disney Cruiseline puts cruisers in certain rooms in the Poly?

When you see the orange Mickey hopping up and down in their signature, that's being boo'd. Someone sent the orange Mickey to them.

I would sent it to you, but don't know how. Sorry!

I never knew that either. I'm just looking at my signature now. Maybe I was boo'd and I didn't even know it!

First of all, Good Morning everyone! I have a few days of threads here as I just read through about 5 pages since friday- been busy. I just read about the photo sessions someone posted about and have a question? They offer this at the Poly at what are the prices? This would be great for my family. I live threw your live posts and comments as I have so far to go!!

The sittings are $75 if you pre purchased the Photopass CD and yes the Poly is now included as one of the Resorts along with BC, WL, GF and I'm not sure what else. There is a Photopass thread dedicated to Resort sittings and there some great photos that Disers have posted of their families along with info. Toward the end they get into the new price changes:scared1: and other changes. We'll be at the Poly next week and have scheduled a sitting at the GF, we are supposed to get the $25 sitting fee as we bought the prepaid CD.:) No enhancements anymore though:confused3 The Resort Photopass Thread is:

Just want to say Thank you to you guys, cause I can't seem to get Macadamia Nut Pancakes with pineapple off the brain.

So Thanks.:goodvibes

Aloha Everyone!!!

Here's the lastest scoop on our vacation. Last night we went to MK for EMH. We arrived about 715 or so and it was very crowded on Main Street because everyone was waiting for 800 fireworks. Kinda made me thing we made mistake going, but as it turned out, it wasn't crowded at all on the rides. We went over to Buzz and rode it twice and then the Laugh floor. We then headed over to Haunted Mansion, Splash and Big Thunder Mountains, Pirates and then the Jungle Cruise and were back on Main Street about 920. No lines on the rides BUT...lines for the CMs to check resort IDs at the entrances to rides. That was a total pain in the buttocks! I don't think they were looking too closely at the dates, but who knows for sure. One CM said it's because of how much plastic wrist bands wind up in landfills, but I think it's just to save money. I think they could come up with some kind of bio-degradable material to make them out of if they really wanted to. Oh well.

Oh, on the monorail back to the resort last night I overheard something I thought was quite funny. There was a couple with 2 children sitting across from us and the wife said to her husband as we go by the new CR DVC building (which no one on property knows what it is) and says...."I wonder what that hotel is going to be?" Her husband replies "The Grand Canyon hotel!" :rotfl: My DH looked and me and we both tried very hard to not bust out laughing. I bit my tongue and didn't say anything but boy, was it hard.

Today we went to BB, got there at rope drop and it was really quiet. Had an incident at the end of Teamboat Springs happen. When we rounded the last turn I noticed there was a back up of rafts. I knew this could be bad and braced myself for a collision. We only had about 5-8 feet off the end of the slide to go anywhere and yup, as I predicted, we ran into the other rafts. The problem was that we actually went under the raft in front of us and my head and neck got slammed forward. Normally not great, but not so bad for the average person, but I have had neck surgery a few yrs ago and shoulder surgery just 18 months ago. Well, after I was able to get the other raft off of my head, I jumped out of the raft and started pushing everyone out of the way because here comes another raft ready to slam into us. Finally, when I got under the bridge closer to the exit I saw the life guard and told her of the problem and that I was hurt. I wasn't too thrilled with her reaction, so I left and continued on to guest services and then to first aid. I wanted them to be aware of the problem so it didn't happen to someone else!! I was given ibprofin (sp?) and an ice pack at the first aid station and finally got to speak to a manager about it. Honestly, I didn't think it was given much priority, and they said they had a monitor watching that area and they would check into it. I just hope that doesn't happen to anyone else because it scared the heck out of me! Thank goodness it wasn't one of my boys or any other child for that matter. I am pretty sore (from the back of my neck, down my arm to the elbow and midway down my back) so I decided not to do anymore slides today. Want to see how I feel later or in the morning. I went to the bar and had a few adult beverages to help me relax! :rolleyes1

Tonight we are heading over to Epcot and planning on eating around the world. I wanted to go see Spectro, but I got out voted. Not too upset, afterall, I am at Disney!!

One other thing I noticed....photopass photographers are few and far between. I'm disappointed in this as I prepaid for my cd already and I really haven't gotten very many pics taken. I might reconsider and get a refund if things don't get any better.

TTFN!

Momatater- That accident sounded so scary! I hope those adult beverages did the trick for you;) What a scary thought for that to have been a kid stuck under the raft.
Thanks for your live reports too! I love them. We arrive on the 26th
A question on the photopass... Can you prepurchase them with out the resort photo session. Looks like the rate is $99 prepurchased... pretty good savings... but I wonder if that is only for the resort option:confused3

Here is another question regaurding TONGA TOAST!!!
Is the tonga toast just as good at Captain Cooks as it is at Kona? Or is it more fresh at Kona's? I may only have breakfast one morning at Kona and I have a big decision on my hands.... Tonga Toast or Macademia Pineapple pancales!:lmao: I could save the tt for a morning at CC if it is just as good there! Decisions, decisions!

Ummm speaking of macadamia pancakes....anyone know if you can order from Kona as "to go" and take it to your room? (I don't want room service...too rich for my blood. i can walk down there myself!) We'd like to share an order so I guess if we can't get it to go then we'll just have to go share at the restaurant, eh? Do they mind people sharing? (We'd pay OOP, not use the dining plan for that one...)

THANKS!

I pulled this up from the Resort photo session thread. You can pre purchase the CD without the resort session, in fact they're no longer affiliated. Hope this helps:) It's the official word from somebody at Photopass

"Please note that as of August 23, 2008, Portrait sessions at the resorts are a separate entity from the Disney's PhotoPass system in the theme parks. While both Parks and Portraits use the same system for their photos, they are separate products. As such, the pricing structure has changed dramatically. There is no longer a discount specifically for guests who pre-order Disney's PhotoPass. Guests who pre-order the PhotoCD or purchase it within the theme parks can reserve a Portraits session for $74.95 with proof of purchase (either email or receipt). Guests wishing to purchase only the Portraits session on CD can do so for $149.95. Alternatively guests who purchase the Portraits session but then wish to combine photos from the Parks may do so by bringing their CD and PhotoPass cards to any resort location for a fee of $49.95 (bringing the total to roughly $200). Note that Disney's PhotoPass enhancements will not be available for Portrait session photos or any photos from the theme parks combined with it. Additionally, guests will no longer have the option of receiving their Portrait session photos on a Disney's PhotoPass card.""
