We had breakfast at Kona today. Fantastic as always. Love it for all three meals. We saw Gary who's been there for so many years (20 plus I think) and is a fantastic server. Part of the O'hana of the Polynesian for us. Theresa was our server and she's great too.

Anyway, I checked out the Dole Whip situation. Both the pineapple and vanilla Dole Whips had the DDP symbol next to them so both are snack options on DDP.

Sounds like you're enjoying another magical vacation, BCV23! Have a Lapu Lapu for us! Have fun! :wizard:

What all is available for the refillable mugs at the Poly? I saw someone who said they got apple juice every day, but I don't remember that as an option when we were there last. I was thinking it was just fountain drinks and coffee/tea. Are juices and milk included?

I don't remember if apple juice was available on the soda machine, but I can tell you regular juice and milk is not and needs to be purchased separately. I can tell you the soda machine did include Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Barqus Rootbeer, however I can't remember the other drinks.

What about hot chocolate? I see people have said coffee and tea are included, but is hot chocolate here at the poly?

Are there robes in the rooms at the Poly? My kids think that is super luxury!:tink:

I know there are robes in the rooms in the concierge/Club level rooms. I don't know if they are in all of the rooms. I don't think they are in the non-concierge rooms, but I could be mistaken.

Robes are definitely not in the non-concierge rooms. They weren't in the closets when we stayed in Samoa and Tuvalu. If they were, I would have lounged in them all day. :lmao:

I know for sure they had apple juice and light lemonade as fountain drink options. I don't remember seeing milk in the fountains (Captain Cook's has two fountain drink stations). Milk was available to purchase separately in the refrigerated section.

Thanks for the good wishes.:goodvibes We're having a great time but not at our beloved Polynesian. We were at BCV which now feels like home to us too and are now at AKV. Only at the Polynesian for breakfast on this short trip. But we'll be there in May.:cool1:

Robes only in club level rooms. Milk available for purchase.

Thanks for the info. One less thing I'll have to pack!

BCV23: I'm glad you're having a great time! I thought of you while at work today; a co-worker recently went to Hawaii and brought back Kona coffee and made a pot of it this afternoon. It was SO good and made me think of you having breakfast this week at the Kona Cafe! :sunny:

I have two more questions. I'm just wondering if they sell loaves of bread somewhere on the Poly property and bigger containers of milk? DD is not a big eater and will live on PB & Fluff so I figure maybe I'll pack some PB & Fluff and purchase bread when we arrive. Also going to bring a box of cereal and was wondering if they sell half gallons of milk and would this fit in your fridge?

Second question is the monorail...how long does it take you from the Poly to arrive at Epcot via monorail?

Okay, now I have a question. :goodvibes

Has anyone had flowers delivered to the Poly for use in your room? I'm not too impressed with what the Disney Florist has as I prefer orchids. I'm thinking of using a local florist instead.

TIA!

I've seen 2 different orchid arrangements from the DIsney Florist. One was a nice spray of lavender orchids (think it was $35). It was simple but pretty. The other is a more ornate Asian-esque One.

Here is a link for the more elaborate one..

Also don't forget that they are an FTD florist, so they can do anything on the FTD website as well.

I haven't seen full loves of bread for sale at the Poly either in Captain Cooks or Samoa Snacks. Half gallons of milk I have seen for sale at Samoa Snacks. The half-gallon would fit in the fridge.

If you walk to the TTC and take the EPCOT monorail from there, it will probably take about 15 - 20 minutes in transit. By the end of 15 - 20 minutes you'd be entering EPCOT's gates. If you take the monorail around the lagoon to the TTC, then switch to the EPCOT monorail, it will take you about 40 minutes.

I joke with everyone that like in LA, getting anywhere in WDW takes at least 20 minutes of transit time. :lmao:

How I missed this one I don't know. It is absolutely gorgeous! I have a cymbidum on my desk at work so I'm very partial to those. Thanks for the link! :thumbsup2

Thanks again! They have some Vera Wang and Todd Oldham orchid arrangements that are making me drool. :cloud9:

I saw that one in person for the first time yesterday. With the willow, it stands probably a good 3' tall. I'm not normally one to splurge too much of floral (I'd rather grow them at home :rotfl2: ) but I was really impressed with the size and quality of that arrangement and would be willing to pay the money for it. That's saying a lot when you consider that's almost a third of my paycheck and I'm cheap!! :lmao:
