All I can say is they better not try making their own Peter Pan ride at Universal - no matter how many bells and whistles they put on it. It will never have the timeless charm of PPF at WDW.
Even if Universal did Hook, it will always be my favorite. Nobody beat Robin Williams. I just saw on a show the other day where they had to remove the hair from his arms, legs, etc, for the movie numerous times. Yikes.
I beleive it's the story of peter pans 100th anniversary, that's why they're making the movie. I have to say I love most anything peter pan! (Hook was one of the best). The story is my favorite.
I'm looking forward to this version too...the guy who plays Hook is/was the evil guy in the Patriot and Malfoy's dad in Harry Potter....he is SUCH a great BAD guy! lol
My 11 year old DS is waiting anxiously to see this movie. It really seems geared a little older than the Disney version with the emphasis on action/adventure. It shouldbe good.
I'm looking forward to this movie too. I liked Hook but I would like to see a live action version with a young Peter Pan. I personally wouldn't mind another Peter Pan attraction either even though I love the old one at MK. You can't get too much Peter Pan IMO!

Won't get my money. Not when they sanitize it to make it PC (no Indians).
Universal chose a bad week to premiere a fantasy movie. Return of the King is going to dominate the box office this week, and the week after that, and the week after that, and so on. God knows I am seeing it tonight.
