You should ask to be FF at checkin. It's first come first serve and in many cases already booked. If days are available they will give you a choice of mornings.

When we did it we were told to meet Ranger Stan in the lobby by the mercantile at 8:15am. That was in September though.

My husband and I are off to the WL in a couple of weeks for our anniversary and we have requested at King size bed. We had to pay for I woods view (i think). Can anyone tell me about the king rooms and the best views, etc?

Please forgive me as I am sure this question has been asked on this thread, but it is sooooo long (it took me half-hour to not even get half through it!) could someone just give me an idea as to what concierge at the WL is all about? I know its some food-like a continental breakfast?(toastable things and cereal?) and drinks and snacks(can you take the snacks with you for the days at the parks?) Is there a happy hour for the adults? How about after dinner desserts or sweets? What hours is it open? Is there such a thing as being upgraded to conceirge for FREE? Thanks so much for saving me another hour looking through this looonnnngggg thread!

...concierge isn't simply about the food, but rather, the EXPERIENCE. There are special CM's (aren't they ALL??) which help you with PS's, shopping needs, and other arrangements. It is on the 7th fllor and only guests who are staying concierge have that access. It is quite a bit more than "snacks", yet not quite considered "full meals". No, it is not FREE (not to date, anyway!), but has been offered in the past as an upgrade for as little as $30/daily. (I guess the upgrade price depends what your room location/daily charge are). Hope this helps!

When we are all together, we need to take a group picture. I will make sure we bring our camera. We should try and get Humphrey in it too. That would be just too cool.

Since the Lodge is between the Villas and MK, and the trees are between the Villas and Bay Lake...None...that's why overlooking the pool is the best view by most standards...I love just having the woods we have seen deer, rabbits, beautiful birds, and an armadillo while out on the balcony at the Villas.

WL experts: I need your help again - I've changed my res. to concierge instead of woods view, so if anyone can give me some pointers on available views, room requests, I'd really appreciate it!!

Look at the WL Faq Photo Gallery link in my signature and see any rooms that start with a 7. 70xx are North Wing and 71xx are South Wing.

This should help a bit.

I'm so excited for you (that you changed your ressies to CL)!!! I can't wait to stay at WL for the very first time! We leave in less than 8 days and I'll be sure to let you know the lowdown on the rooms on the 7th fl. when I return as well!!! As the days get closer, they're getting l-o-n-g-e-r!!!!

Yes, thank you, that's good to know, I have asthma and am very sensitive to smoke. Thanks for the quick reply.

WoodysRoundup - Yeah, isn't that great?! The dates I booked originally, CL wasn't available, but when I moved it up, I got lucky!! When I asked the cm to move the dates, he said "I see you have woods view, I have woods view, courtyard view or concierge available for your new dates, would you like to change?" It hadn't even occurred to me!

I will be looking forward to your report in a few weeks!
