Kim! You must be so excited for Van Helsing today!!

Did you see the WL Vets project I sent to Roy...yours and AS was included!

Good morning good buddies, I have a question that I know I should have the answer for but don't. I have a woods view room for our July trip and would like a view of the castle. Now I know 5032 has that view, but do any other rooms have it? I plan to ask for these rooms on my ressie.

Room 5014, 5010, 5012 are good.. I think 5012 is BB room

How many times did you stay at WL ? Your "favorite" corner ?
But ... (it's our first visit) WHO is Humphrey? that loveable smiling bear I saw in some posts ? Where is it ?

Mickey's Dreamer,

Good question I had to go back and read my signature to make sure. I have eleven stays at Wilderness Lodge (some trips where just for a few days @ Christmas) and five stays at The Villas @ Wilderness Lodge didn't count my May trip yet, even though I have added it to my post. :p

After I had been posting a few months I saw where some had added their stays and at which resort to their signatures so I thought how can I remember all my stays? Then I remembered I have always saved my check-out statements so I found my Disney file (you guys do all have a Disney File, box, ect don't you?) pulled all my papers then added them to my signature, it seemed way too much so I went back though and just put the years and used (small type) so it would meet guidelines, and not seem so over the top...
While I know it is way too many and seems like :earseek: to most, I just want to say I have been staying on property for so many years and you guys where babies when I first started going...I also knew about the specials on Resort Discounts since
1980's (twenty years) so I have never paid Rack Rate. I live within 2 1/2 hours from WDW so I don't have the added expense of airfare or gas. Yes ::yes:: I have also stayed off-property quite a few times, now I just don't bother with any other off-property sites. (Sorry for too much information)

My favorite corner is...Christmas time sitting in a rocker just looking at the Tree, or over at the Iron Spike room playing checkers with my nephews/nieces by the fireplace.

WHO is Humphrey?
Yes, ::yes:: He is located on the Totem Pole next to the Mercantie Gift Shop, but he is so much more... mascot to
The Wilderness Lodge, and the WL Vets.

The totem, the clan deity, the beast or bird who in some supernatural way attends to the clan and watches over it. --Bagehot (A rude picture, as of a bird, beast, or the like, used by the North American Indians as a symbolic designation, as of a family or a clan.)

Ratpack,
I worried over how to make my room request, this is what I had added to my reservations...Woods View, North Wing overlooking the otter pond with castle view, if possible. ;)
If I get a broom closet I'll still be happy....::yes::
Room 6012 also has a view of the otter pond, and castle with bunk beds and is a non-smoking room.

Hi all,

Speaking of rooms, I have a question.

Would any of you know, where would kingbed rooms be in the Southwing, 4th, 5th, or 6th floor, but further down toward Baylake? You know, closer to the pool and the gyser. Anyone know any room numbers? Thanks. :D

Thanks DDN and Magic. I had left out the part about bunk beds. That is probaly more important, it will keep DD satisfied.

Magic, I think I will use your request verbage and see what happens. Must believe in the Pixie Dust!!:wizard:

Jeanne,

The only King size bed rooms I have listed are either on the First Floor barrier-free (handicap-accessible) rooms and have a large shower with no tub, and a few that are off the lobby, with Courtyard View. There may be some located where you want though. Anybody else?

I'm sorry but I must have missed Magic's request verbage. Can someone post a link or the original quote?

Thank you.

Diana

P.S. Yes, Magic, it's me - your fellow Wishes cruise mate.

Hi Diana,

I told Tim,

:bounce: Diana, can't wait until the Wishes Cruise.:bounce:

Magic,

I thought that maybe you had a script for making a call ahead of time. I too have North wing, non-smoking, bunk beds with view of the castle if possible, although it doesn't show it on the form that came in the mail.

We won't be getting to the WL until 3 p.m. or so on the 15th (driving from GA/SC border). I was going to call WL direct on the Wednesday before and re-check my reservation. Is this okay or will I anger the room assigning gods? It is imperative we have bunk beds.

I used to have a link to the Passporter web site that had a room request script maker, which is why I thought you had an actual script you might read from.

Thanks to all for their advice and encouragement.

We leave for WDW next Friday!

Too excited!

Diana

Diana,

My request didn't show up on my copy of the reservations but when I called to make a change the CM read it off to me...I wouldn't call the resort, only because I too would be worried it might anger the rooms assigner gods...If for some reason they don't have the Bunk Beds available when you are checking-in, then ask to please change rooms the next day if possible. Arriving at 3:00p.m. should be OK, I would move all the watches and car clock ahead a few hours to arrive ASAP but I don't have small ones to travel with. Have a have a safe trip down.

MICKEY'S DREAMERS,
Wow, great video, made me want to be there NOW.

Hi fellow lodgers !!

As a guest of WL, can we use both the WL pool and the Villas private pool?

I just wondered if it would be okay to see if the Villas pool was a bit quieter and calmer if the main pool should become too crowded.
I am not much into swimming in a pool thats so crowded.

Thanks!
~Chris

TooBoyz4us,

We do just this, let the children use the slide then when we want to swim we use the Hidden Springs Pool, I also prefer the Hidden Springs Spa (hot tub) and most times have it all to myself.

:flower1:
OK, here is another room request question. I booked a woods view for 3 rooms, requested non-smoking, rooms together, now I find out that we will not check in until 8 pm and I would like a view of MK. When I call CRO should this be the wording to use-- Non-smoking, MK view, rooms together, late check-in 8pm.:sunny:
Will CRO note all this on my ressie? Do you think by doing this maybe they would assign us the rooms we would like?:wave2:
Thanks!
First trip to WL and getting very, very excited!!

:flower:Margaret West,

Yes you can have that information added to your reservation, and the room assigner will see it, I'm sure they will try and accommodate your request. Do you just need the three rooms close to each other (adjoining) or do you need a connecting room? (verbage is very important) What about beds do you want a King Size bed, are 2 queen beds OK, or do you need any Buck Beds?
