yuck!!! i hope you guys get well soon. I just looked at the forecast agian, and now the frist 2-3 days ar predicting rain! Of course it has changed like 5 times in the last 3 days.

I just tried to check in online. I got a weird message at the top about not being able to verify the shipping address or party names, that i needed to try agian. I did it agian and got the same thing. When I checked my email i had 2 confirmations for online checkin?? I guess I am going to have to call.

I'm trying to put off checking the forecast until the weekend, when I start packing, but I'm thinking, three jeans, 2 capris, 2 shorts, and if I have to wash in the middle, oh well! Plus tees, tanks and hoodies. DH says I can't bring all six pairs of shoes I wanted to, that I should cut it down to THREE!

I'm not due for OLCI until tomorrow.. I guess we'll see... Interested to see how yours goes!

Bad news: We all have bronchitis, and DH is getting a strep test this afternoon... Hopefully the cortisone shot and Zpac will make us all better!

Hey guys, I am still debating online check in. Can someone tell me the benifits? We haven't been since they started it. We are driving so does it really matter? We have room requests, are we more or less likely to get them if we do online check in? We have never waited to check in and have never not gotten our room requests so is this something we should or shouldn't do? Thoughts?

We did online check in last time. It was fine. All our stuff was ready, but we ended up moving rooms, not because we didn't get our request.. we did.. but it ended up biting us in the butt, and there was zero people in the lobby when we arrived, so it didn't save us anything really. I would do it. If you don't like your room or need to modify something, you still can. We're arriving this time before noon (the plan) so we expect it to be more crowded than when we arrived last time at it was around 8pm. The following morning the lobby at Pop was mobbed!

On the request. We'd requested 70's building, non-preferred, first floor... which we got... but little did I realize that might put us right on the lake by the smoking area. I need to be as far from cigarette smoke as possible, so I asked to move ... we got 70's building, non-preferred, 2nd floor in the near away from the lake.... excellent location. I no longer care about floor level. Although, at SSR, lower level gives you a patio on the golf course, which is great is you have children who like to run and play. there is plenty of garden area before the fairway.

The biggest benefit i have heard, and what makes me do online checkin, is that you are much more likley to getyour room requests. I have had several CM's that work in the resorts report that online checkins go through room assignment first, so they are more likley to get thier requests. We got to bypass a sizable line last year as well, so that was a puls.

I have done all customs for DD, and am bringing long sleeves, short sleeves and leggings for layering with them. I usually bring 2 pairs of shes per person os that if one gets wet we have an extra.

ETA: I called about online checkin and the CM said they were gonig through an "enhanncement" and to try back agian this evening. They are supposed to be doing another one Nov 16-17th, and that makes me sooo nervous!

I failed to ignore the forecast and was disappointed to see that our arrival day is scheduled for rain. I take hope in that more than a few days out is rarely accurate. I had enough rain during our August trip to last a Disney lifetime!

I just took my turkey head to staples to get lamanated (sp?!?) and my silly old self didn't cut the Mickey our first. So now I have a huge 8x11 piece of paper with the Mickey in the middle. Whoops! I am going to try and cut it out and put a little tape on the edge. Duhh!!

I think I'm crazy. I finally got everything ready to go. Medicine labeled for each day. Camera cables, phone chargers, etc. labeled. Everything on the checklist is done. Park itineraries ready to go. I swear, it has taken me longer to prepare for this trip than the 9 nights we are going to be there.

I can't believe this time on Friday we'll be at Bay Lake Tower.

I went to Kinko's, and luckily the worker there was smarter than me! He brought me scissors!

We are planning on heading out Friday afternoon and going to SeaWorld on Saturday. My DS9 told me that "we don't have time for stuff like SeaWorld when we are at Disney!"
Now, if I could just get our stuff out of the Rubbermaids and into suitcases...

We are now at 9 days!!
Got quite a bit accomplished this weekend. DS6 got a hair cut, I washed and packed all the boys T's, sweats, shorts and the holiday sweaters. Started putting together rubbermaids with toiletries, extra batteries, etc. I colored my hair today. Ordered a really cute new camera strap (I plan on wearing my camera all the time this trip so I don't have to keep taking it in and out of the bag).
I think I'm going to check out online check-in and see how it looks.

Need an opinion - we booked preferred at CBR, should I call and request EXACTLY what building I want, or is that being greedy? I already requested 2nd floor, and don't want to seem.. well... greedy.

Be careful doing this!! Two years ago on the first day of vacation my mom has her camera on her wrist and accidentally hit a bench and broke it!

Need an opinion - we booked preferred at CBR, should I call and request EXACTLY what building I want, or is that being greedy? I already requested 2nd floor, and don't want to seem.. well... greedy.

I am debating the same thing. We mvoed for CBR to POFQ because a lot of what I was hearing about busses at CBR was scaring me. POFQ just started a refurb and rumors are flying that there will be refurbed rooms open next week. I am wondering if I am pushing it to ask for a refurbed room and put in an if not then_____ along with that. I would think you could get away with requesting a group of buildings at CBR my request when we were there was like that 2nd floor, and then building x,y, or Z.
