Thanks to summerlady for posting the link to the change in park hours. Bummed to see that the parade at AK will not be rolling our week; DD likes parades and I was hoping to catch that one. I also just realized that we won't be catching the MSEP this trip! Our two MK days are the 9th when the park closes early, and the 11th when there's MVMCP (which we are attending). On the 9th though we're having dinner at Chef Mickey's, so I'm hoping to catch the Electric Water Parade after we eat. Anyone know how to find out what time it floats by?

I've got a WWYD question for everyone. All summer my parents mentioned how they would like to go down to WDW at the same time as us, partly to share in the experience, partly to help with DD so DH and I can ride the big rides w/o rider swapping, and partly so my dad could help DH on rides where I need help transferring out of my w/c. They kept saying they didn't think it would happen, though, so I didn't take it to seriously. All the sudden right at 45 days out, they decided they were def. going. I added them to as many of my ADRs as I could, but the one that I haven't been able to get them into is DD's birthday dinner at Chef Mickey's, naturally the one they'd want to be at the most. On the one hand I'm extremely happy with all our ADRs and the two on her birthday in particular (CRT breakfast and CM dinner, both at great times) and I feel like sorry I can't get you added on, should have made up your mind sooner. But on the other hand, I really hate that they'll miss her birthday dinner, and am <gulp> actually tossing around the idea of going elsewhere so we can all eat dinner together. We're not park hopping, so it would have to be a resort or DTD restaurant, and pulling up any dinners for five resort wide I'm really not finding anything appealing. The most viable option was a table at 1900 PF, but it's about an hour later than I would like, plus the three of us are already eating at the castle that morning so it would mean two princess meals in one day, three overall for the trip. So what I'm getting at is would you just say sorry you're missing out, and stick with the existing ADR, or settle for something less ideal so that we can all dine together. I did find this evening an opening for two at The Wave that's only about 15min after our Chef Mickey reservation, so my parents could at least eat at the same resort as us, then hopefully we could meet up for the EWP.

Hey we had add motherinlaw and fatherinlaw last trip we went on. It was right after christmas. we have 5in our family with them it was 7. i try to get them on by call they say they didn't have any. So when it was time for to go to resss they came with us and every time they was able to seat them with us. so i said take them with you. we had breakfast at chef mickey try to put them on but no open. but when we went they came with us when we sign in we told them we had two more with us and they were able to eat with us.

Sheila- Bravo to you for getting right back on the horse, I think I would have had to do the same too. And your new plan sounds wonderful!
I would try and take your parents to CM for DD's bday. We actually had my inlwas and SIL and 3 of her kids jump in on our trip a couple of months ago. I had to make some changes to our plans. The one that really bummed me out was losing Liberty Tree for Thanksgiving dinner, but we went from a party of 4 to a party of 10. I am a little concerned because my SIL can be a little difficult (althoug my DH is saying he doesn't care what they do, if they slow us down we're leaving them).

about 5 pages ago someone asked what the difference between Spectro-Magic and Electrical Light Parade. Here are some pics.... the music is different but I can't post the music.

I know I have photos of every single float and dancer from SpectroMagic but oddly they're not on Facebook, so I can't post them here. I wonder where they are? I lost one of my flashdrives and I hope that my Disney pics were not on it. Those SpectroMagic pics were from March 2010. They also had dancers dressed as butterflies. I know I photographed them.

Thank you for posting the Electric parade pictures. I looked at the photo albums from when I went as a kid when I visited my mom last and those pictures look identical.

Loved seeing your pics of MSEP! As someone else said they brought back memmories I know I had it on video from years ago but for the life of me that tape has become lost, so I truely enjoyed looking at your pics Mindy thanks for shareing

I have some video snips from MEP when we spent a day at MK in June but I don't know how post that here. It was our first time seeing MEP and I am a huge Spectro fan but it was great, too. I still think I like the Spectro music a little better...If anyone can help with how to post the video I will try.

My DD8 just got on the bus and hollered back to me, "4 weeks from today and I will get on the bus but won't ride it home cause we will be headed to Disney!!!"

I'm nervous. I pulled out all our matching t-shirts yesterday and they were all nicely together, except on shirt is missing (so one set is not wearable.) I know it is somwhere but where I don't know. I did find it on eBay for 3 times what I paid but if I don't find it today or tomorrow I will probably break down and buy it (and of course then it will show up.) So, off to exercise then go and search for it.

Anyway, I just sent the kids to school today with their letters to get out of school. I decided to take them out for the 5 days, instead of 3 (which the school will approve) and then call them out sick the other 2. A friend mentioned to me, that when the kids get back to school, they may say, "I just got home yesterday from Disney." I didn't want to lie or have them lie. I emailed their teachers last night, to let them know the letters were in their homework folders and that the trip is a surprise for the kids.

I am getting so nervous. I have sooooo much to do. I am trying to get my paper done (which is due the day we leave) and I have a midterm next week After I am done both, I then can concentrate on packing

I have no idea what happened to my ticker!!

You can pay to take a pantoon (holds 10) out to see the fireworks and water parade from the boat. You can also do illuminations. The price is steep (320-350) but if you find enough people to split it with, it's reasonable. You can book one or there is a thread on the board (I will link later) where people have booked one but are looking for others to split it with them.

Nov 9 - Brown Derby (lunch)
Nov 10 - Plaza (lunch)
Nov 11 - Shutters (dinner)

We're not sure about either the Rose & Crown or Shutters. The former, because F&W might cause us to not be hungry enough for a full meal. The latter, because neither one of us is terribly excited about the menu, but its our Animal Kingdom day. If we don't end up getting Park Hoppers, eating at the hotel will be most convenient.

ETA: Has anyone done the Pirates and PAls fireworks cruise form the contemporary? If so, how did you like it? We are going on the 22nd, and are really looking forward to it!
