The NEW Official November 2010 Countdown & Planning Thread ~ Come join us! (Part 2)

Wow..I go out of town a couple days and it takes me an hr to catch up..LOL I sure hate to hear of so many cancellations lately...Im kinda freaked out about the adr's not showing up on the ressies too..I only show 5 of the 12 i have booked :( I hope it gets fixed soon and they show back up.

We are now at 32 DAYS!!!!!

I have purposely not checked my adrs. I figure I will wait a few days till the system is good and then I will check and hopefully have no reason to panic lol.

So I've been reading this thread (and the first one) for several weeks now and have finally decided to chime in...

November 27th we will be leaving frigid Cleveland for (hopefully!!) sunny and warm Orlando - and not just Orlando - but DISNEY WORLD!!!! :) This will be my DS's First Trip ever (he is 3) and my first trip in over 10 years! Needless to say, I think we are both equally as excited!! lol - Staying at Wilderness Lodge (first time - cant wait!!) and we are transfering over to Universal on the 3rd and staying at the Royal Pacific until the 8th. :) Loving all of the posts on this thread - and any suggestions for a first time Disney Single-Mom would be MUCH appreciated. We are already shipping a box down 7 days before we leave with pull-ups and snacks and stuff... sending down toilitries also... had my shampoo break open on me once on a flight to San Diego.. ugh it was horrible!!! - We are taking a towncar from the airport straight to the hotel... and it even included a FREE 30 minute grocery stop en route to the hotel... which is AWESOME because we lucked out and got the rooms with refrigerators in them :) Also if anyone has any suggestions as to a stroller that can fold up but supports like 90 pounds i would be forever in your debt as the only thing I'm really not looking forward to is paying all the money to rent a stroller down in Orlando every day at Disney and Universal

November park hours changes just listed here:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2578638

If the infomation on that thread is accurate does it strike anyone else as strange that EMH would still be going on at MK with a midnight closing. That would mean the park is open until 3AM? Am I wrong?

Sorry just a little confused.

Don't get me wrong I am psyched about the extra time in the parks, we're only going to be there for 4 days and want to make the most of it. But was a little confused. I'll trust in it a bit more once the main site is updated.

Ok, so the hours changes added another fantasmic during thaksgiving week. I just called to see if I could swap our dining package to the later show and was told that they don't offer the fantasmic dining package for the late shows. Does anyone know if this is correct or not??

I know for a fact it was a 2am EMH last year, and that they do the same thing at christmas.

Yes, this is correct. The dining package is only for the first show of the evening.

Yes, I believe that is true.

Not sure about the MK hours but I noticed the DHS on Nov 8th is off-way back they had switched the EMH for DHS from Fri the 12th to Monday the 8th which made them being open until 10pm not 7 or 8 like the post said. Not sure I would trust the post JMO

Monday November 8: Hollywood Studios open from 9am to 8pm rather than 9am to 7pm. Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade is not scheduled.

Looks like they are still listing EMH for DHS on the 8th, All the EMH listings are at the bottom. But this would also mean that DHS would be open until 11PM for resort guests. Pretty cool if this is accurate - mind you it might mean I have to try to shuffle some things around .. ugh .. At this point changing ADRs isn't possible .. hmmm who knows.

Time will tell.

If you read all of NotsofrostyJosh's post, you will see that the hours he gives are from the information released first to the travel agents. He says it always takes a few days for the Disney website to catch up with the information given to TAs. If you look at the wee small print at the bottom of each page of the link he provided, there is an edit date of 10/15 and the words "The Walt Disney Company", so I'm sure the information is legitimate. Hard to read, but legitimate. I printed it out and I'll need to take a magnifying glass along with me if I want to read it.

You are exactly right, BIL is a travel agent, and they get the hours when they come out, and all the changes on the posted link a couple of days before thay are on the WDW site. They have always been accurate for the 3 years we have been traveling to WDW.

Perhaps I owe a thank you to someone here. I was able to get an 'Ohana reservation today for 11/3 at 5:20. I've been checking for a week and all I could get were late times. I was so thrilled to see this one come up today. I had to switch my Boma reservation for that night, but that's an easy one to switch. Any way, if someone here cancelled that ressie, I sent you a great big THANK YOU! :goodvibes

Hi gang!

I've got about seven pages to come back later and catch up on, but I just had to come on a do a happy dance that as of today we are in the TEENS! Woo-hoo!

Hello Alexensmom!!!!
Ok.. got the camera. Easy to use. Pictures came out nice - when not playing with wrong scene mode- oops!:rotfl: As to shutter speed... it seemed pretty good on normal mode. When I changed modes it seemed to slow down... I was at a baby shower over the weekend and party mode or food mode (don't remember which :confused3) was slower... I will try and play some more this week and let you know. I will try and get some opportunities to check out the shutter mode more closely.

Thank you!!! I decided to go ahead and order it since the delivery date would be around the first week of November and I really want to know how to use it for our trip. I almost forgot that I was waiting for it to come in, so you've gotten me anxious for it to get here. :yay::yay: I love new toys! Especially if they are better than my 'old' one. :rotfl:

We are staying at WL the same time!:woohoo: Maybe we'll run into each other at the bus stop or pool. DD has to have her pool time in the afternoon. It shouldnt be hard to recognize us, DH is from Akron. :lmao: I know...lame. :upsidedow Just keep your eyes open for the DS who says "HI" to everyone he passes. His nickname is 'The Mayor.'
