Since this will be our first trip in November can someone who has been tell me a little bit about the weather? I know it's not always the same but past experience is always a good place to start.

We will be there the 2nd week of Nov.

Usually a light jacket for early in the morning and late evening should be all you need. Other than that just your regular clothes should be fine most the day. Now, if you are from far up North, then you probably wont need a jacket at all. (Being from Florida myself, we take just a light jacket.) Hope this helps!

A few months ago, I upgraded my longer overdue 5 year old LG for a Samsung Reality. It has a touch screen, but it also pushes open to reveal a full keyboard. My DH and I both got the phones and we've quite pleased. In fact, our 21 year old DD and 18 year old DS are quite jealous that their phones were not yet up for renewal. They said it was patently unfair that mom and dad had cooler phones than they do!! So, It gets the young adult seal of approval. I can even upload pics to facebook, but it takes me along time to remember how I did it the last time. :upsidedow

I love the MD Renaissance Fest. We used to go every year, but didn't go last year. The costumes are great!! I bet yours will be a hit. We hadn't done Halloween anywhere else but MNSSHP. It wasn't actual Halloween day when we did. I don't think the boardwalk would be having Halloween festivities if its not actually Oct 31, but I'm sure they have something. MNSSHP was so much fun though. Here's some pics:

WOW those are great costumes!! I need to start working and adding to ours. My DNc reminded me on Saturday she needs a new corset and that I need to fix the tear in her skirt, other DNc ( tom - girl) said she needs her new squire boots like DNf and a string for her doublet. I am happy they will get a few uses now out of the boots hoping it is not to hot... a skirts and corsets in 90 degree weather:scared1:

Thanks.. I made mine from a Simplicity pattern (actually looking like snow white helps). DH's came from Disneystore.com and DD's came from Target I think? I didn't have time to make ALL the costumes. DH's would have been better had I made it. You know how that is. I've always wanted to make some renfest costumes for us, but darned life keeps getting in the way of my crafts!!

Just asked this question on another thread I am on, but thought I would shoot it to you ladies (and gents) as well! I am up for upgrade on my cell phone here in about a month....what phone do you have/had that you just love!!! Mine now is the LG Dare...LG has been awesome(last 2 phones were LG), but I am tired of only having touchscreen...I think I need a keyboard! It is hard to text on that screen...it picks up lots of extra letters and you have to redo lots of what you typed. I have some friends that got the touchscreen only with other types of phones...they aaaall took them back!! So,... I guess it's not just me! It's hard to use. Anyway...whatdya got?!

I have the MyTouch, from T-Mobile. It has a touch screen keyboard. What I love about this phone is the apps :worship: I have Touring Plans app on my phone and I cannot wait to use it in the parks. I am always looking at it to see the wait times of the attractions.

the BB curser ball is easy!

So what's going on w/ plans :confused3 anything new out there?

I'm starting to work on finalizing some more basic details and park touring goals for our time there but trying to concentrate on getting a bunch of crafty projects done...once the kids go back to school next month it will actually get a ton busier for me...

Once I have stuff done I will post.

I borrowed a book from the library called "Hidden Magic of WDW". I am writing down things that myself or kids have not seen or we want to look for in the parks. I have not work on any park touring plans, figured I would wait until we got closer to our trip.

I know that , if it is not one thing then it is another...usually the kids. Will you be at Renfest this year?I cann't wait it is another passion after Disney.DH loves the ax throw and other games. Then some time at the White Heart.

Sorry if this is a double post, but though you might like to know... (about to head "up north" a day earlier than planned, so I couldn't read back too far).

ADR's for Via Napoli will begin being taken Aug.6 for dates after Sept 10th! Via Napoli will be TS only (bummer!!! I was hoping for QS pizza slices!!) and DP will be accepted. Sounds like a soft opening will begin Aug 5 to Sept 9 for walk-ups only. Info from the Disney Parks blog.

I have that book. I need to RE-read it and actually write things down. I didn't do that, thinking that I'd just remember! :lmao:

I'm not sure if we'll get there this year. I don't like to go in August. Too hot and too many bees! At least in years past. We typically go in early Oct. I hope they send me a brochure again with the schedule. DS18 will be away at college, but DD22 love it, so maybe she'll want to go.

It starts last weekend in August, we are the same way we go early Oct also. Will go in August sometimes dressed most of the time not. Maybe we will see you there. When are are you in Disney? We are at BCV Oct 29 - Nov 6., we are going ahead of the rest of family one day, that way we have some time at F&W.:cool1:

You all are so great! Adding this thread is another positive to rescheduling our trip. I love how friendly and kind everyone is. It's not just about "trip planning" but taking what we all share in common and using that to encourage one another each day! Since I'm late to the game I haven't quite caught up yet but it's so awesome to see!!!

Yes I agree, The November Travelers have definately formed a bond here :goodvibes

I agree!! :goodvibes This really is a great group and having everyone here is definitely making the wait seem a lil less traumatic :rotfl:

I agree! :goodvibes We have a great group of people here! :grouphug: I have really enjoyed coming to this thread each day and chatting & planning with all of you.

I sure makes the time go by a little faster! :cool1:

Hi everyone:wave2: I can finally post here!!!! After the unemployment crud nabbed our house dh got a new job! he's a banker, so we were really frightened that it could take a long time - but he was only out of work for 4 months!!! - which in banking is incredible!

so anyway.....I booked !!!!

a smidge of background...dh & I have taken our daughters to disney together about 4 times from 1998-2003 - then he decided it just wasn't his thing & I could take the girls by myself - which I did for the first time in 2005 - well we've come to LOVE, ADORE, CHERISH these girls only trips, and have went at least once every year since then. They are now 16 & 11 and I thought for sure 2010 was the year we'd have to skip - especially since we had a 16 day trip in 2009 - but I've managed to eek out 5 nights 11/12-11/17 at POP with FD and MVMCP on the 16th.

I'm not telling the girls - this will be a complete surprise trip (which I've done once before) - I'll talk to their teachers and clear it with them, but it will be a secret from the girls.

Haven't booked airfare yet, I'm off to look at that today. Need to do my ADR's too, I know I'm gonna have a had time with that....but we're pretty easy our only ABSOLUTE is Crystal Palace (dd16 is a eeyore lover)...

Can't wait to "meet" you all!

:welcome: Sounds like a fun surprise trip!! We surprised our kids a few years ago. It was so hard, but so fun too!

Since this will be our first trip in November can someone who has been tell me a little bit about the weather? I know it's not always the same but past experience is always a good place to start.

We will be there the 2nd week of Nov.

We were there the second week of Nov last year. The weather was near perfect. :goodvibes The high for each day was right around 78-82, with the exception of one day when it only reached 65. It was sunny and warm, but not too hot. We needed light jackets in the early mornings and later in the evenings most days. It rained one evening during the whole week.

Hello all! Just a brief check-in. Sorry I haven't been around much lately, we've had lots going on this summer.

Not a whole lot going on WDW planning wise, other than starting to look for Disney shirts for all of us to wear. Awhile back I saw a lot of new plus-size shirts on the disneystore site, but then I went back a few weeks later and they were gone! D'oh! Also been browsing on etsy, as I'll probably get DD a couple from there.

Also, I think I'm tweaking my ADRs again. We've got a 5:30 ressie at LTT on our MVMCP night, but I'm worried that won't give us time to make castle lighting, so I just booked a 4:25. Haven't cancelled the original one yet, but probably will after talking to DH this evening.

Hope you're all well! I'll try to get caught up later.

I thought I got lucky picking up some 2x shirts at the Disney Store but they are not cut very full , I am afraid if they shrink they won't still fit me :scared1:
Oh well , good incentive to lose weight

I had a 5:45pm ressie for LTT the night of the MVMCP then realized I would miss the Castle Lighting also , so changed to a 7:30pm, if we miss the first parade we can just stay for the 2nd one, plus we are going on our arrival day and if we don't get into our room till late, might have to get to the party later anyhow :santa:

Oh, we won't be there at the same time. We're going the week of Thanksgiving. Our children (DD8 and DN14) in Loudoun County schools have the whole week off because the teachers are having to be furloughed for 2 days. We thought this was a unique opportunity to take the kids for Thanksgiving without having to worry about my nephew missing important work in his freshman year of high school. My son will be in college at Florida Tech, just 1 hour from Disney, so midweek, we'll go pick him up. He only has Wed-Fri off. We will be staying Nov 21-26th at Saratoga, then we're taking a night a Pop. Too many points for the Friday night. We'll drive DS18 back to college sometime on Saturday, then start to drive back home.

Where do you live in Annapolis. We used to have a sailboat that we kept on the Severn River at Smith's Marina in Crownsville. Right near the RenFest as a matter of fact. After we lived out here several years and didn't have time or money for the boat anymore, we had to let it go!! At least its in the capable hands of a good family friend. :boat:

Hello and :welcome:

I don't know of any general public discounts out for that time. Some of us received pin codes for room discounts that included that week. I don't know if they are still randomly sending them out or not. I actually got mine right after I got back last November!

Good luck to you! :wizard:

Howdy

You might want to call CRO and have them check to see if you have a pin# attached to your name , quite a few people on the DIS mentioned they never rec'd notification via email , but did have a discount pin when they called to check

good luck :thumbsup2

Good evening all! Been busy this last week at work and have had very little extra time. Had to read about 10 pages to catch up.
Shelly- I wanted to let you know I ordered Celebrations magazine after your recomendation and got my first issue today! My DS11 has had it trying to figure out all the puzzles etc, but it looks great, Thanks!
I also got my DS6's annual pass voucher today (figured I'd order atleast a couple to try and save on the increase that I heard is coming early August)
It was exciting to get 2 cool Disney things in my mailbox (as opposed to all the bills that are usually in there).
