First Thanksgiving trip!!!! Nov. 23 to 27 at WL with a courtyard view!! Took several days of convincing the husband to go (he is NOT a fan of disney ). We are driving since it is way too expensive to fly that week...I had to promise the kids a DVD player for the car since they were hesitant about two days in the car ! Made the ADR's and got what we wanted

I am feeling a little bad since my little man really wanted to go back to Chef Mickey's, but last time we had dinner there it was horrible and the rest of us didn't want a repeat of the last time...I am thinking maybe getting up early and taking just him to breakfast at Chef Mickey's since DH doesn't eat breakfast and DD likes to sleep in.....

Congrates on the Thanksgiving Trip....Air Fares are crazy around the Holidays, I had wanted to go right after Thanksgiving but the fares for Delta were over $1000 pp back when I was booking in Feb, so changed to 2nd week of November then bought our air in April when JB first came out with them.

Taking your lil DS to breakfast sounds like a good plan, I never did dinner at Chef Mickeys only Breakfast which was good except DH does not like all the noise and business of CR

Maybe when your DH sees WL and WDW all decked out for Christmas , you will make him a fan of disney this trip

The DTD pics are cool, I didn't know that there were so many cute things there. I thought it was just shopping. I didn't plan on going threre this trip, but maybe we will give it a try. About how much time do you spend there with your kids? We have DD11, DD8 and DS5. Is there enough to keep them happy? My DS is a LEGO nut, I am afraid if we go, he won't want to leave.
I love seeing all the pics! You guys are great! I never tried to post a pic, if I have time to figure it out I will try and join in the fun.

Hi Dis friends!! So my daughter Belle was in the hospital for 6 days...I am happy to report that we came home Friday afternoon She is doing really well..just very tired. I sent her to school today...I know she is going to be exhausted when she gets home (she only goes for 1/2 day kindergarten). We have a follow up doctors appointment today. I am so tired too...it is crazy because we mostly sat around at the hospital but I guess I am just emotionally drained.

Now I have to start thinking about the beach..we have a week beach vacation that has been planned for this Saturday in Ocean City, NJ...I know it will be wonderful, but the thought of packing all of that stuff up....

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes and prayers..it meant a lot.

Irishgirl~ There is lots to see at DTD...my kids look forward to it! The largest Disney stores are over there...we usually go toward the end and that's where we do our souvie shopping!! They also have a cool hot air balloon...weather must be good to go up.....and yes, my middle one is a LEGO fanatic...he loves it over there!

Andrea...glad your baby is ok....a weekend at the beach will probably do you both good! just throw some outfits in a bag and don't worry about it~!!

Good morning everyone! Still loving all the pics!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We had DS8's soccer tournament yesterday. It ended up to be an all day event - because his team won the whole thing!! We were there from about 12:45 until about 6:00, in the rain, wind, sun, and HEAT. What a day. The weather was just crazy. But no thunder or lightning, so we played on!

Shelly...I can't see your little slider...I think it's too far down to view!!

It's a pink mickey head. . . You can't see it??? I know when I am on our old desktop computer I can't see mine and most other people's tickers. The screen isn't wide enough or something. . . But I can see everything when I am on my laptop.

So, my MIL was taking a picture of my dd and I (see the shot below) when these two random guys walked up and posed in our picture! I was laughing so hard (as you can see) and as they walked away and I asked my MIL if she got one without them, they turned back around and acted all offended! Little did they know I was going to make them famous and post their pics all over the DIS!

That is hilarious!!

We had that happen to us. DH and I were trying to pose off to the side of the castle and this woman sent her little girl to get her picture taken RIGHT BESIDE us. So rather than waiting 3 seconds for DS to take our picture and then take the spot herself, I'm sure we are in her pics and her daughter is in ours.

Just uploaded some pics of graduation and had to share- he was so cute!

I think that's a great idea to take your DS to Chef Mickey's one morning! We always have a great time there. Loud, but great.

DTD is great. It's a must for us! The kids start asking when we are going to DTD as soon as we get to WDW. There's definitely lots to do and see. We usually go at least 2X per trip and spend about 3-4 hours there each time.

I have been checking regularly to see if everything was ok with your daughter. Glad she is out of the hospital and doing better.

Having done the whole hospital stay with a child several times, I can tell you it is exhausting!!! Don't know why exactly but it just sucks the energy right out of you!

I've been looking at some of the t shirt designs. I tried to make a shirt for my son for a school event, but the iron on paper I got was crap. What kind of transfer paper do you use and do you have any secrets? I would love to make some this trip.

PEANUT1 - So glad to hear your daughter is recovering nicely. A beach vacation (once you get there!) sounds like a good prescription for the family!

I stayed up 'til midnight last night (okay, I fell asleep at 10:45-ish and woke back up at 12:11!), and SouthWest did not extend the flights past 11/5. Just checked again, and the calendar still only goes out to 11/5.

C'mon, SW, I want to book my flights!!! I hope it doesn't come up when I'm on the train and I miss my window of opportunity!!
