I think Christopher is going trick or treating dressed as our dog. JackJack is rather famous around our neighborhood (he's ENORMOUS, and a wicked goof). I'm just going to buy some black sweats, and sew some black fake fur onto them. For his ears, I'm just going to put the fake fur onto a headband. I have one of the dog collars that is new, so he'll get that too.

Strange, but it should be cute :)

QUESTION OF THE DAY

what are you dressing your kiddo up as for Halloween, if you celebrate it? Will you take them 'trick or treating'?

I feel silly taking a one year old that can't walk to get candy. I might take him to a few neighbor houses, but that's it. If we had older siblings, i would take him, but with just him, i don't think so???? We will dress him up and answer the door all night and also dress him up the next day for his birthday party (pirate themed- pirate costume).

Emma wants to be a cheerleader for Halloween, and Ethan is going to be a pirate. I found the pirate costume at the Disney outlet for $7, it came with boot covers and everything. Em already has a cheerleader costume, so that will save us a few bucks.

DH always takes the kids trick or treating, while I hand out the candy. We have a red wagon we load them up in and if they get tired of walking, it makes his life easier to get them home. Ethan wasn't into it last year and was crying by the 3rd house so he stayed home (he was only 1.75 years old) while Emma did the block.

I think the baby will stay home this year.

So...a little background...Brady doesn't like to wear anything on his head. He is NOT a hat-wearer at all! Part of his costume requires him to wear a huge hat-thing on head. So, we have been doing some Halloween training - wearing the hat-thing around the house each day. And it's working!!! He will wear it for long chunks of time now!!! Can you guess what he will be?!?! ;)

I love it!!!!!!

DMickey - Oh goodness....sounds like you had quite a night/day!! Hopefully Alexander is feeling better and doesn't pass it on to anyone!!

Jen - Too cute about Christopher going as your dog!! Love it!! :goodvibes

I think we will take Brady out to a few of our neighbors homes that know him. We also have good friends who live down the street who have a 4 year old and a boy 6 months older than Brady - so we will most likely go out with them too. Then I will feel more "legit" with the 4 year old!! ;)

Here is Brady in the DVC magazine! The pics are from our trip in December 2007 when he was almost 5 months old. Thanks to Mel for scanning it for me!

Too cute, Kelly!

I'm watching the debate. popcorn::

Michelle- I'd like to volunteer my butt fat if anyone wants to pump up their chest. ;) I could give someone some hefty double Ds. Probably a couple of pairs!!! :lmao:

I am thinking of taking my supervisor like, a casserole or just, something. I don't know. I feel so awful for her, and she's off work all week. She has a 3 yeard old DD. So, I was thinking maybe it'd be nice if she didn't have to cook dinner? I just don't know; I know nothing can make it better, but I would like to do something. Any ideas? Should I just send flowers? I wanted it to be something a little more personal.

My new supervisor called me today, though- and I felt so bad for her. She just found out the baby she is/was carrying is dying, it has trisomy 13. :sad1:

So sorry to hear about your supervisor - that is terrible. :sad2:

I think the idea to bring her a casserole is better than flowers, b/c you're right, I'm sure she will be in no mood to cook, but with a 3 year old she can't really skip dinner.

Grumpy - cute pics of Owen - love the crabby hat!

Alexander got sick last night. All over his crib, himself, his toys, his blanket, himself again, the floor in his room, the living room and then the kitchen.

That's too bad about Alexander being sick - I hope he's feeling better soon! Luckily Alex hasn't had anything like that yet.

QUESTION OF THE DAY

Well, we are going to try to dress Alex as a dog, but if we can't get him to wear it, we definitely won't go trick or treating. If he will wear it, we might just go to the mall or something.

Sounds cute - and how creative of you making the costume like that!

He's turning into a little ham!

So, we got Abby's Halloween costume today.....candy corn! We were at Target and saw it and it was just too cute to resist. DH even tried it on her and she was running up and down the aisle with it on and people were cracking up. I was going to do a princess because we are going to WDW in November but I figure I will look on clearance after Halloween and see if I find one ....if I do great, if not no biggie. I am kinda thinking that she may be at a point where a dress like that would bother her in the parks anyway.....we'll see I guess....

Sounds too cute - you'll have to post pics!

I need to put new pics up. We're going to the zoo tomorrow (DH's birthday!), so I'll try to do pics after that. She's getting so big.

I think we've done about a zillion time-outs today for hitting. All of the sudden, she's slapping me every time I tell her something she doesn't want to hear. :sad2: But, she's still crackin me up, because as soon as she sits in the chair she says "Sorry" so she can get out. Um- that's not the way it works, kiddo.

Kelly- the collage of Brady is too cute!! I'm going to have to show my SIL- I'm sure she has the magazine since they just bought DVC.

So, the consignment sale went ok today- we were too late for a lot of the good stuff. But, I got a large Sorcerer Micky in pristine condition!! And a small stuffed Belle in great condition. Cute! We also got a book of rainy day activities- lots of great ideas for when she's a bit older. No clothes- there was the cutest little pink trench coat with ruffles, oh it was precious. BUT- they wanted $15 for it. Actually, a lot of the stuff was priced kind of high. Especially some of the clothes- I mean, I know if a sweater was bought at Gymboree it was a little pricey, but $15? At a consignment sale? C'mon, people.

I found out that next weekend there is a Baby Mania Tailgate sale (people sell stuff in the parking lot, much like a yard sale, but with a lot more people and a parking lot instead of a yard). I'm thinking of going. But really, we don't "need" anything. Plus, Christmas is coming up.

My grandma (Vaylie's "Gigi") bought V an inflatable "trampoline". She loves it. Now she can bounce to her little heart's desire, and I can stop worrying that she'll fall off something and get hurt. :yay:

Pollito- Alex is so tall! The pics are adorable.

Pollito - Great pics of Alex!!! I can't believe how big he is!! He looks like a little man now.....so freakin' cute! :goodvibes

Okay, you guys know I've been working on making Ellery's halloween costume. Anyway today I tried it on her to see how it's coming and she HATES it! How can a baby that isn't even 10 months old yet be so opinionated about her clothes? She was baring her four teeh at me and ripping the sleeves off. There was tulle flying everywhere. I don't know if I should finish it or just wait for next year to try the Halloween thing.

ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 :cloud9:

Well, one more day at my branch. My new supervisor called me today, though- and I felt so bad for her. She just found out the baby she is/was carrying is dying, it has trisomy 13. :sad1: So, she's going to be gone all week and wanted to call and give me the heads up and let me know where stuff is so I can get settled in. She lives in the same town as me, so I think I am going to send her some flowers. I feel so bad for her- she had just told everyone because she was out of her first trimester. :guilty:

Awww Becky. :( I am so sorry for her, give her my best will you. Would this have been her first?

DMickey - Oh goodness....sounds like you had quite a night/day!! Hopefully Alexander is feeling better and doesn't pass it on to anyone!!

Yeah no such luck. I got it Friday night through yesterday, my MIL who is visiting got it yesterday and DH has not caught it yet. He wasn't around the brunt of it so hopefully he will be spared. DS is doing ok ... still can't keep anything in him, going straight to the diaper. I am trying to eat some mild stuff today.

Wasn't this stomach bug around here a few weeks ago? How long did it last??

Kelly - Love the pictures of Brady. That is soo cool!!

Pollito - I can't believe how big Alex is. He looks like a little boy!!!

Becky - Sorry the sale wasn't that great. But there is another one?? I wish we had some cool sales like that.

Ash - I am sorry Ellery didn't like her costume. Do you think maybe it was scratchy on her or something?

We are the same way with time-outs, and Alex has had 2 already today for biting and standing on his chair. That's too bad about the sale, and I've found the same thing with pricing, especially clothes. I think it's because most people get to price their own stuff and value it too high for sentimental reasons.

Aww, that's too bad that she doesn't appreciate your hard work, and I'm sure the costume is adorable. But I have to admit that the idea of a 10 month old baring her teeth and ripping sleeves off is pretty funny.

:goodvibes Pollito- Alex looks so cute- especially with his hair spiked up!

Becky- i think a casserole would be super thoughtful.

Kelly- oh my gosh- what a super star Brady is! You should frame that collage from the magazine- i love it! :lovestruc

just updated Will's blog today with some new pics- http://williamreed1.blogspot.com/

love all the costume ideas guys! can't wait to see pics. Candy corn, dogs, pirates- we have a nice mix! :wizard:

I've been slacking. i need to also find that website to transfer his blog into a scrapbook- what is the site again? I need to work on that this week. i know someone posted it before, but i am lazy. lol

got Will fitted for his tux- it should be pretty cute. WE have to buy, not rent for him though. Can't wait to get pics. Also visited my 88yo grandpa, he loves seeing the kiddos. He has Alzheimer's and isn't always 'there'.....but sometimes he just surprises us- he pointed out Will's 2 new teeth this time around. so sweet. just chilling today- DH is tailgating at the cowboys game right now. Will is down for a nap.

hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Okay Seriously, I am done. I feel much better today, Alexander seems better everything is still in his mouth, out the diaper immediately and no peepee diapers. My MIL seems to be the worse of us so far. I feel so bad, she is visiting and got this and is stuck on our couch. I wish we had a guest room for her. :-( DH now has some version of this bug. He has the fever i had but no throwing up (yet) which was the first symptom for the rest of us.

Okay so now i was giving DS a bath tonight and found a TICK on him. Now I admit, due to being sick, he has not had a bath since he was sick on Thursday night. I THINK it's a deer tick but it wasn't engorged and I had to wipe it off with a face cloth. I have it on the face cloth now and will call the ped in the morning. I do remember the spot on his belly during a diaper change this afternoon, tried to rub it off but he was screaming his head off because his diaper rash is soooo bad from this virus that I let it go. I just figured it was dirt or something since he had not had a bath in a few days.

My BIL (same one as the accident) has Lymes Disease and really has had a hard time with it. At least I know about the tick and can watch DS closely but still, I am freaking out. I am hoping DH doesn't get sick sick and hoping tomorrow my gurgling tummy is better and DS has wet diapers.

I bought out Target today with Oust, Lysol, Handi-Wipes, Clorox and Alexander's favorites foods. I also got Carnation Instant Breakfast and Pediasure to try and get some more into him. He's not a fan of the pedialyte but we tricked him into thinking it was a big boy drink in his straw cup with ice and he drank a bunch. Luckily the last two diapers before bed where not full of diarrhea but also not peepee wet ...

Wish me luck girls ... It's been a horrible weekend.

DMickey - I am so sorry you have had a horrible weekend :( I hope everyone is feeling better soon. Nothing is worse than dealing with a sick kid and not feeling great yourself. Abby got a bad virus back in January and passed it on to DH and I. I felt worse than I did when I was pregnant and I was still nursing. I had to call DD's ped over the weekend to tell him I could not keep anything down and didn't know if DD was getting anything from me....ugh, just the thought of it makes me sick......hope you guys are better soon :)
