Hi ladies! It's been a crazy week - I was in LA on business all week, then came home and we bought a new house on Saturday! We are so excited, but now have to wait ~ 6 months for it to be built. I guess that will at least give us some more time to save money and pay off some debts.

I voted for Brady's crazy hair - too cute! I want to enter Alex b/c he always has crazy hair, but I don't have any pics saved to this computer. They are all on snapfish, but the site is down right now. I will have to check later and let you all know when I enter Alex's pic. He just got a haircut this weekend, so it is pretty calm now, but lots of old crazy hair pics!

Congrat's on your new house!!! How exciting!! :yay: And thanks for voting for Brady....the lead voters have like 300+ votes, but I read in the rules that the big prize actually goes to a pic that the judges choose (supposedly not influenced by the votes). Let us know when Alex's pic is up so we can vote for him too!!

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day yesterday. We got to brunch at 1:30, and they sat us at 2:30!!! :scared1: Don't they know they can't do that with an infant! I think Brady had like 100 Cheerios while waiting. He was a good boy, though - even though we were eating right during his usual nap time. And he gave me the best Mother's Day gift ever.....he has been babbling "mamamama" when he is upset for a while now. But yesterday when he got up in the morning and was happy, he looked up at me and just said "mama" clear as a bell. :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: It was the best! Now he say's it on command and even points to me when he does it. I swear I am more in  every day!!

Hey Ladies!

Well, only 4 more sleeps til we leave for Florida!

Unfortunately, I think Colin's top teeth might be coming in...ugh! Last night, he was so hard to get to sleep, then was up at 1:00 for an hour, again at 3:20, 4:10, 5:20, 6:30....he finally went to sleep just before 8 until 9:15...and then slept nearly 4 hours this afternoon. Hopefully tonight he's back to the regular schedule. I think I might run out and get some baby Oragel...we have the homeopathic camilia but it didn't seem to do much last night, even though it sometimes does help.

I hope this tooth pops before we leave! Otherwise, it could be a VERY long weekend!

How exciting!!! :cheer2: Take lots of pics so we can see them when you get back!! Where are you staying? Hopefully Colin's teeth will pop through so he will be a happy guy while in the Happiest Place on Earth! ;)

Vaylie learned a new trick today- she lifts up her dress to show her belly button! :rotfl: It is sooo cute. But tonight, we teased her after her bath... We put her jammies on (a zip up one piece with legs), and asked her where her belly button was. She looked a little confused for a sec, then started trying to pull up the legs of her jammies thinking maybe she could get them above her belly button somehow. :lmao: I was laughing so hard. It was adorable.

Hello Moms! Happy Mothers Day (Sorry it's late)

I wanted to post some photos from our trip to Disney over May 2nd weekend. We had a really good time and Timone got in trouble for spending too much time with Abigail. The character handler said "Timone, you can play with the baby later after you take a picture!"

It was so cute; Timone was making a heart shape on his chest and pointing to Abigail. Abigail was all about the characters. She gave kisses to Donald and Pluto and was fascinated with Goofy's teeth! She also gave kisses to Timone and Rafiki and just didn't want to leave.

She met Mary Poppins, but she was more interested in her gloves than in her. She also got a Marie cat that she would start bouncing anytime she say her. (We have a white cat at the house, but the cat doesn't like Abigail, so we got Abigail her own kitty to love!)

Ok . . . here are the photos

Bath Time before the parks (she loved the big jacuzzi tub at the vacation club!)

Sounds like you had a great time! Wish I could go back to WDW soon...but it's looking more and more like it will be at least 3 or 4 more years before I can talk DH into taking a vacation there. (He doesn't like theme parks - even Disney! :scared1: )

Gotta love that first "mama"! DS used to call me "mama" and DH "daddy" but now he has started calling everyone in the family "mama" - me, DH, my mom, and my sister. So I don't feel special anymore. I even correct him with the right name, "daddy," "grandma," etc, but he just repeats "mama" again no matter what I say. Sometimes I think it's just a game he plays to mess with me.

Well I'm pretty upset. Hubby called and told me to call out to work. I don't like calling out and rarely ever have. It's not the babysitter's night to babysit. Hubby just usually comes home and off to work I go, but he's having major problems at work and doesn't know when he'll be home. I really enjoy going to work on Tuesday nights. It's not that I need time away from Mo, I only work 3 nights a week so going to work is actually fun for me. I've been home ALL day and my head is starting to hurt from being inside. I took Mo for a walk around 11 for about 20 minutes, but that was 4 hours ago. I suppose I'll find some place to go with Mo. I just hate staying home, but don't like spending money when I'm losing money. Could have made good money tonight....at least $60 or more. Oh well. So goes the life of being a mommy. I hope you ladies understand, I'm not upset at Mo for being here and me missing work, I'm upset at my hubby's job and his responsibilities. :sad1: Oh I sound selfish. :sad2:

(((hugs))) You don't sound selfish at all!!! I totally understand how you feel...sometimes when you have something planned and are ready to do it - if that plan gets disrupted, it sucks! Especially when it is going out and doing something "non-mommy". Being a mommy is very draining and sometimes we just need some alone time! Nothing wrong with that! And we can ALL sympathize with getting frustrated with our DH's!!! ;)

Gouda - Great pics!!! Love the one in the jacuzzi! I never even thought to put Brady in that when we were there in January - he would have loved it!! Something to do in September!! ;)

Gouda- those picsare just adorable.

Denise- I totally get your frustration. Sometimes I just need out of the house. For some adult time, without Vaylie. Of course we all love and cherish the time we have with our little ones, but taking care of a baby can be so draining- it's nice to get out of the house and recharge the mommy batteries. ANd I'm also the kind of person that gets stir-crazy if I'm in the house all the time. That's when I end up at Target. :sad2:

I somehow never found this thread before. Subscribing to talk to other new mommies out there like me.

A little intro Noah was born on Jan 28th and was 10lb 7oz yeap he's a big boy. We had him at the doctors last week and he was 15lb 11oz but I love every bit of him.

Well, Sam & Zoe had their 6 month checkup and all is great. They are on the charts, which is great. 25% for weight (sam is 16 lbs 9 0z and Zoe is 14 lbs 10 oz). They are both in about the 75% for height..Sam is 27 in and Zoe 26 1/2 inches. That is all uncorrected for age!!! Can you imagine for adjudted age of 41/2 months they would be off the charts! Dr. Forehand loved on them and they were soo good!

In other news, solid foods are going pretty good..we have had rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potato, and pear so far. I bought an avacado and some banana to prepare and freeze foor them..I will introduce those next. They are preyy moble for non-crawlers..they roll everywhere now! Too cute, and already quarrell over toys. They will try to get what the other one has and Sam constantly tries to suck on Zoe's hands...funny! :rotfl:

Gouda - the pics are awesome! She's adorable.

Denise - I think everyone totally understands needing a bit of time unrelated to the baby. I love Christopher to death, but going to work is my chance to be a grown up again. It's nice to have people need me for something other than food, diapers, and someone to play with :)

I'm off tomorrow, and I am going to spend it doing crap I don't want to do.

What am I doing? Um- I have to call the dealership to see if they can fix my broken car (buh-bye stimulus money). And then I haveto go shopping for a shirt or outfit or something to wear to a coworkers wedding Saturday night- I have no clothes (what happened to my clothes?!). I don't even feel like buying anything new because I don't want to spend the money. And I feel awfully fat lately, and hate buying clothes when I'm feeling plus-plus-sized, instead of just plus-size.

And all I want to do tomorrow is stay in bed, listen to the rain and thunder, and sleep.

Ok. Back to your regularly-scheduled mommy chatting. Thanks for the venting opportunity. :flower3:

Sorry, Becky! I hate days like that. Hope yours turns out better than you're anticipating!

I had one of *those* days here. We host a prayer meeting at our place once a month, and tonight was the night. DH usually cooks dinner for us since it's a small group, and we hang out, then pray for a local ministry. Normally we meet in the room over our garage because it's always kept clean and cat-free, but right now we have a woman from Korea staying with us until she can move into the international house on campus. Our living room is tiny, but I figured we could make it work for 6 of us, even if it's a little tight.

So I spent the day cleaning, confirming with friends that they would watch Owen and getting stuff ready for that, etc. etc. DH comes home and the first thing he says to me is "I thought you were going to set up so we could meet in the living room tonight." So after all the work I did, he didn't even think it looked like it was ready?! :headache: :scared1: I totally snapped, I'm afraid. Not a particularly good way to get my attitude ready for a prayer meeting...

And THEN I forgot to send a bottle with Owen, so just as we're finishing dinner I realized this and DH had to run back over to our friends house and drop off the bottle. :scared:

Of course our guests weren't bothered by any of this, and it seems like things pulled together despite all of the drama, but I was feeling frazzled.

Owen stayed up the whole time at our friend's house, and fell asleep so soundly in the car ride home that we changed his diaper, put on his pjs and passed him around the room to all the guests and he never woke up! Funny bug...

Tomorrow is supposed to be record setting heat here. We might even hit 100! I'm thinking I'll be turning on the AC bright and early and staying inside ALL day. I hate heat!

:rotfl: Sorry- this just cracked me up. Glad everything went ok. :goodvibes

So, the closest (dodge) mechanic to me can't get my car in until May 27th because he's going on vacation next week. And I would look elsewhere, except when I called him he sounded so honest. He was like, "Well, I'm sure I can fix it, and would really like to have your business, but I understand if you need to get it fixed sooner."

So, hopefully my car doesn't die before then. :scared:

Men :confused3

I'm glad everything worked out alright in the end.

We will be getting that heat tomorrow as well. Not as hot as you guys...only mid 90's here. I prefer to ease into summer...just last week we had snow :headache: Oh well...

Well for the past two nights Chase has slept 5 hours in a row. :woohoo: I have started him on a schedule so now he takes 5 oz every 4 hours (set times). He gets a bath every night and cereal in his last bottle of the night. Seems to be going well. Hope it at leasts stays like this for a while...of course it would be GREAT if he would sleep all night :rolleyes1

Thanks girls! :grouphug: I do appreciate all your kind words. Glad to know how I feel isn't "strange".

****On a good note though, Mo's new Britax car seat arrived on Tuesday and it looks VERY nice. Can't wait to put him in it. I'm gonna wait til he sits up a little better because he'll be riding in that a Walmart cart on his own then. Can't lug that new car seat around.:scared1: :rolleyes1
