He just turned a year old. We have never been able to do CIO, because he will scream bloody murder and make himself sick (believe me, we tried). So, putting him in time out isn't working (we have been trying that too).

Most of the time he is a joy, but there are times he gets full of himself. So far this morning he has been ok (knock on wood), a big change over yesterday.

hey ladies- doing lots of catching up- over 10 pages worth! ouch!

Will is great- he moved up to the 18mos-2 year old class at the montesorri. He got bit yesterday, poor guy. although he has bitten twice, so it might be good thing, that he experiences it and won't do it himself. he did it months ago, when teething. didn't break the skin, but still has a red mark this am from yesterday.

he likes to throw fits now- he puts his head down and bangs in on the carpet to get attention. :confused3 :rotfl:

he can make the lion's sound now, it is so cute, i am trying to get it on video, he does a very quite rrrrrrah! He can point to his nose and head now if you ask. We are working on more. his new class really does a lot of montesorri learning stuff now- so he is learning a lot in it i think! they have daily math, music, letters etc. for 18months old!

i can't get him to watch tv at all. he might watch for 2 minutes. He is always busy playing. he might sit still to flip through a book or me read him a book, but that's it. he won't watch tv or movies, so he has no favorites shows, he won't watch! we are going to disney on ice on sunday- i am nervous about how he will do. i might be walking him in the lobby during most of it. we will see!

job is okay- super busy and stressful. not sure i like it or not. but don't have much choice in this market! :confused3 I should be thankful to just have one.

Amber so sorry about Spencer. We started the same kind of issues with DS as soon as he hit 12 months. Our docs wanred us that the "terrible twos" really can start as early as 12 months and as late as 3 years. Some of it was separation anxiety mixed in with tantrums. Now I just place him in the middle of the floor and walk away. I make sure not to leave the room so he doesn't feel abandoned. It's hardest for me when I go out because I can't just ignore him.

Cris does the whole bang his head on the floor too :rotfl:
I can't help but laugh a little at his tantrums but I do my best to ignore.

We also had to make sure if we did CIO to never leave him more than 5 minutes or so otherwise he will make himself sick too.

Good luck with it. I know it is hard. Over the last few months the more we kind of ignore the tantrums the less severe they've gotten.

Michelle we don't do TV right now ourselves. It's been said by two different practices that it is suggested not to even try until they are 2. So I guess I wouldn't think anything of it.

My joy of the day was getting DS to eat a strawberry preserves sandwich. It's been so tough on him that he didn't even want that for a while. His two bottom molars and two canines are now all through so hopefully the worst of that is over for him. He still has the two upper canines though as well as the molars. This is the worst is has ever been for us & him with his teething.

Spencer has MAJOR seperation anxiety (always has) so it's next to impossible to just leave him. We have worked with him since almost birth to reassure him we will be coming back, but he still FREAKS a ton.

We do ignore the tantrums, but not the biting. He will try and bite when you tell him no or he gets frustrated.

Michelle, congrat on Will moving up to the next class! His school sounds great!

My Brother and SIL sit my 2.5yr old newphew in time out by how old he is. So if he is 2 he sits in 2 minutes of time out. They way they said it was bc 1) they can't sit still that long 2) it could be a really long time for them to sit there. Ny newphew does pretty good with it. He has a time out chair. Course don't know how long they have been doing it so not really sure at 12 mos if it would work or not.

I dropped Caleb off this AM and my MIL also keeps my almost 3 yr old niece. She has been sick this past couple of days and this AM she had on her party dress:rotfl: . That girl is too wild! But she wanted a bananna (which was good bc she being sick was not wanting much food and she is an eater) well she got out the butter knife and wanted to cut it up. Well that would be ok (they let her anyways and she is pretty mature) but she wanted to do it on the coffee table and not in the kitchen. So MIL made her come to the kitchen which she would not do. MIL threatened with time out and then picked her up to try to put her on the chair...that butt would not go into the chair. MIL takes knife away and niece runs into her room.
I looked at MIL and said uh he's going to do that one day...I should be lucky now he can't do it yet. I have a feeling we will be doing some battles in the days/weeks/months/years to come!:headache:
Though in nieces defense you can really tell when they are tired or not feeling well when they can act their worse!

Caleb slept through the whole night last time. No teeth bothering him last night. But you could tell that they are bothering him bc he tries to chew on you now.:rotfl:

Hello My Friends!

Here's a little story if you don't mind:

Back in early 1995 after being frustrated with a current job on base I decided to look elsewhere. After an interview here and there I was hired at Sears and was very excited about it. I was having a good time and was enjoying it more than I thought I would. Sometime in late 95 early 96 I thought a little extra money would be good and decided to work at the United Artists movie theater. Worked out great as it's right in the same area.
In August of 97 I was driving through Niceville and spotted a sign said opening soon...RUBY TUESDAY'S. As the building popped up and the people poured in to fill out apps, so did I. In Sept of 97 I put in my 2 weeks notice to leave Sears to give Ruby's my full time. I left Sears on good terms and many were sad to see my go but understood to work less but make more money.
Do you see it my friends?
Fast forward nearly 12 years:
I'm fired from Ruby's at the end of Feb and for a couple of weeks, I'm just feeling down, lost, upset, frustrated. I'm filling out applications online and in person and nothing. So one day, I'm on some website filling out an application and by what I thought was a pure mistake when putting in my zip code I was directed to a website called SNAGAJOB.COM. I was like WHOA! So I typed in the zips I knew where I wouldn't have to drive far and saw that Sears was hiring for two positions: Commission and Cashier. I chose Cashier of course. I thought while filling out the app, what's the harm I've worked there before, maybe...just maybe. I'm scheduled for an interview on a day where I can't make it and they re-schedule on one of my class days. Any of time I would have canceled and just said forget it, but since I've been unemployed 3 weeks I thought differently. I explained to my professor my situation and he told me to go for it and good luck. So I arrive at SEARS right at 11 for my interview and don't get it in til nearly 11:30. I was cool with that though, she was busy. AND GUESS WHAT....
I never "really" had an interview. Me and the Teresa(head of HR) talked about me working there before and then going through TONS of names of who I remembered and who's still there. We laughed and joked and had a great time. She asked about Ruby's and couldn't believe, even with my write up, that they fired me for losing my temper (at myself no less) after being with them for nearly 12 years. She asked me about the hours I could work and was very excited. They needed evening help and I was working out perfectly. I explained when I was done with my Monday night class in May, I would open up that day too and Teresa said perfect! And loved that I would be available Sun-Thur. She understood about me not being able to work Friday or Saturday because they had a Russian-Jew who used to work for them...enough said. I talked to Rebecca for my second interview and she was thrilled to have someone sitting there so upbeat and familiar with the company. She said she couldn't wait to get me going. I have to do a final interview with the store manager Friday at 12:30, but at that point, from what I remember from before, that's more of a welcome and thanks for choosing Sears. How do I know I have the job for sure? Because when I asked Teresa who decides rates of pay, her or the store manager, she said herself. I was leaving and Teresa said, thanks Denise, welcome back!
I'VE COME FULL CIRCLE..DID YOU SEE IT?
Left Sears for Ruby's and Ruby's fired me and Sears took me back. Rebecca told me, Ruby's loss was their gain! BOY...did I need to hear that!
I can't believe it. Our income will change quite a bit, but in the end, I will learn to budget better and will most likely be A LOT happier. SNAGAJOB was NO accident, there are none in G-d's world. It was work and several disappointments happened before I finally walked through the door, but I did and this one I will make sure stays OPEN for a LONG time!
So...I'll keep everyone posted. I'm still waiting on approval for Medicaid and Food Stamps and unemployment sends me my first check on Friday. I have one more time to claim weeks and then from that point once I get income from Sears I believe that will stop. I'll check on insurance through Sears, but will see how Medicaid goes first for Mo at his ped office.
Thanks for being there my friends, I hope you all are well.

Many blessings always,

Denise

I haven't posted, but I have been reading the other posts. I will respond to those later. I don't want you ladies to think I only come when it's about me. That's how it appears to me sometimes and I hope none of you feel that way. I had to leave a thread awhile ago because that's how the others felt and I don't want that to happen here.

Hello to all of you :wave: and I hope everyone and their little ones are well. :flower3: :hug:

I'm Michelle Easler Peters on facebook

so you guys talk about circus and unicorn bedrooms is too funny! :) i want to see pics of bedrooms, post em up- i am always lookign for new ideas. We have a dark mustard color walls with dark red bedding and dark wood furniture. our house needs more work though!

crazy on all the 5 year annivs! We are going on our 8 year in May for wedding anniv and it will be 16 years of being together- we dated 8 years before getting married! :confused3 :rotfl: wanted to finish school first, get jobs going etc.

Ash- what was this test for- for teaching? good luck- let us know when you get the results :hug: i am sure you did GREAT! oh and 27lbs, that is AWESOME!!!

Lillian- welcome!

Jen- how scary, glad he didn't need stitches.:hug:

Jean- welcome- my son was born 10/30/07, so our kids are close in age. Nicoles little girl was born around the same time too! welcome! :banana: :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

Kelly- awesome news on your brother and proposing at disney! :goodvibes Poor Brady- getting sick everywhere, i hate those nights, i worry so much, you must have been worried sick. holy cow, can't believe you were all down at the same time. i hope you are all getting better. :hug:

Dmickey- what cute pics from disney! too funny on the dryer pics. i hope yoru appt goes well and that they will start with fertility testing/treatment right away. the wait is always the worst. what a pain with your DH's work......i think in this market/economy, you have to look at for yourself. having a job and putting food on the table might have to come before pissing off C or losing his friend. i hope it works out- i think at least it is good some of this has surfaced now and DH will be shown in a good light to mgmt and maybe get the promotion he has wanted. it's really hard working with folks like C, i've been there, very frustrating.

Nicole- interested on that obit for your uncle- very weird. i know when my grandpa died we listed the lady he was 'dating' as his 'special friend' (the funeral home recommended this). my grandma had passed away years before and was mentioned first of course. i thought it was funny saying 'special friend', but to this day, a year later, that 'special friend' still calls and checks on my dad, even though she lives in another state. so sweet.

Kriele- Caleb's pics are so cute

Bethany- Owen's haircut pics are so cute! it turned out so good

Pollito- yeah for no more travel!

Becky- congrats on being an Aunt! :thumbsup2 Your 'girl' date seeing Cirque sounds fun- that same show was here at Six Flags this past summer.

Amber- great cake pics with Spencer, those are classic!:goodvibes

I'm fairly new to the boards. Have lurked and read for years and every once in a while will post. I am feeling the need to post more as I just had a baby and could use some moral support.
Anyway, not sure why I posted all of this. I guess I am just in need of a little more :grouphug: and :goodvibes ! Again, I know I don't post much, but I do read daily and get much comfort from it. Sorry for the long post and thank you for reading. I wish all the new moms and moms-to-be all the best. I hope I can be there for someone else someday as well. I look forward to posting more! Goodbye for now - I am off to the hospital to be with my daughter!
WELCOME:welcome: What a scary story and this was just a few weeks ago? hope you and baby are doing well. What is her name? is she still in the NICU? prayers and hugs all around- you are both fighters. come here to vent, complain or just chat! :laughing: :thumbsup2 maybe you can post some pics of your little miracle soon.

Hi Everyone!

I need to catch up, but I am at my wits end with Spencer's attitude. He has been SUCH a handful and tries to bite you when he's mad.
The new thing today is he will cover his ears when you say something he doesn't like (such as "no"). On one hand that's cute, but I don't want him to continue (and not listen when older).
Will does the same thing- since he can't express himself verbally with words yet, i think he bites instead. he has stopped it recently at least.

btw- i worry about him not being verbal enough. He says a few words and knows a handful, but doesn't use them very often. He says dada, mama, da for dog, tries to say ball and book, bye bye and uh oh- but not much else. he is almost 17 months. He does point to stuff now when he wants something instead of just crying. He is learning where stuff is on his body and some animal sounds. i just feel like he might be behind verbally? anyone know what is normal? he just got moved up to a bigger class, so he should be learning more from the older kids now hopefully. We read to him a lot and practice words etc. He knows what things are (vacuum etc.), he just won't say them.

the boy is just a going machine- always playing, can't sit still until bedtime! he has some separation anxiety now too- when i had to leave for San Fran for 5 days (march 5-10), he was in the car at the airport and i said bye bye and he just went nuts. :rotfl: now he seems to freak out anytime i leave of course. DH puts him to bed every night and now if Will sees me come upstairs, he starts to cry and wants me to put him to bed.

I'VE COME FULL CIRCLE..DID YOU SEE IT?

IMany blessings always,

Hello to all of you :wave: and I hope everyone and their little ones are well. :flower3: :hug:
what AWESOME news-----so happy for you Denise. I am so glad it worked out and maybe you will be happier there doing retail again. :banana: :woohoo: :yay:

Amber, I feel for you with both the issues. My little guy has gotten better with anxiety but for the longest time he would flip out if he went to anyone he didn't know really well. During htat time when he threw tantrums, he would be on the floor and I'd stay in the room a foot or two away from him. I just refused to touch him. Now I go about 10 feet away and pretend to be busy. So it does get better.

We did have a big conversation with my doctor about punishments and he said at this age it is pointless. They can't connect the two so putting htem in time outs at this age is not recommended by them. He's a good dad of three and said we just have to work hard to redirect at almost all times, except when it is things like them screaming because they are put down or won't be picked up when they want to. That's the times when I do ignore what he is doing.
Like I said I wish I could just ignore him when we go out ;)

DS is on my lap so this is all going to be quick. He finished his milk and I think wants to go outside.

Michelle I can only say that at 15 months they wanted minimum of 4 words. And per my doc the more they babble the better. I'm horrible with finding words in my son's language, but I think he has about 30 now. "Car" (or truck, bus etc) is his favorite. It's kind of cute hwen he hears a train or airplane he says car :rotfl:

Denise congrats on the job.

Okay I give up on typing. I am on facebook too but for many reasons I won't post my first name here (I am going by my middle name). But if you see a brunette with a redhead on a swing in a picture that'd be me ;)

Off to play outside!

Amber, sorry that Spencer's being a pill. Sometimes I plop Owen in his packnplay with some toys and books just to give me a chance to think clearly when he's being disobedient. Since it's right in the living room with me it gives us both a chance to have a little space and settle down, and it works for a re-direction for him. Sort of an early time out for both of us! :)

Ash, I love the dress! It looks really cute. I wish I could wear strapless dresses and tops, and I'm always envious of women who can. I bet you'll look great in that!

WDWChewy, welcome, and I'm so sorry about your early delivery. Sounds like both you and your little girl are strong fighters!

I admit I really like the name Dom a lot ;) It seems to have made a big comeback recently too. I just like classic names like that :)

I have to say I am so happy that I got my DS to eat more today. His bottom 2 canines are through and one molar. The other bottom molar is almost through as is his top canines. Poor guy just worries about food hurting when he eats it I can tell. He's normally great about trying foods. Right now not so much :( So far he only really doesn't like yellow peppers. I'm pretty impressed.

That's great that your DS likes trying foods! Owen is like that - he'll try anything we give him, and we can usually get away with giving him 2 or 3 tastes of something at a meal before he'll decide he doesn't want anymore if he doesn't like it. And he's good about re-trying things at later meals, too. So far the one thing he consistently hasn't liked is broccoli - one of my favorite veggies, unfortunately. His new thing is that he loves to lick and chew on the lemon and lime slices we get with our food sometimes! He'll even shudder BEFORE he puts it in his mouth, but he'll still suck on it (and shudder for the first few tastes). :rotfl: Hope your little guy's teeth stop hurting him soon. Owen is working on his 11th and 12th teeth right now - two molars on the right side.

Bethany I am glad you went on the play date. I admit I live and grew up in "one of those towns" like you described. I noticed the ones who make the biggest deals out of money are the ones who want more and think they don't have enough. The really wealthy in our town knew how to appreciate money and wouldn't bother wasting that kind of money on clothing for every day use. Kind of interesting how sometimes having tons of money makes you appreciate it more.
Glad you found a nice person or two to hang with. I wish there were more SAHMs in my area though. Where I live there are still a lot of elderly.

I hope I don't sound like I think there's anything wrong with having the expensive stuff - I just don't like it when people get obsessed with having something because it's expensive. If someone decides to get a Bugaboo stroller because they've done some research and have decided that it's the right stroller for their lifestyle and they can afford it, great! But some of these women bought their strollers simply because they were the most expensive, and they've said that. That's what bugs me. But I keep reminding myself that just because there are a few of them that discuss that all the time doesn't mean that's how they all think, so I'm really trying to get over myself and hang out with them a little more.

I'm good friends with 5 or 6 SAHM's in our neighborhood, but they are all crazy busy with lessons and preschool and stuff for their kids or else they homeschool, so it's hard to book playdates with them. These moms from the other neighborhood have more regular playdates at local parks, libraries, museums, etc. so it will be easier (hopefully) to get to know them and for me to get out of the house! ;)

Hi Michelle! That's great that Will is doing so well! The lion roar sounds cute! And I wouldn't worry about the TV thing, either. Owen never sits still to watch anything for more than 10 minutes unless he's sick. He just likes anything with music, so sometimes he'll ask for a show and I know now to fast forward to the parts with songs. He'll watch the song, sway back and forth to it a few times, and when it's over he'll go back to cruising around the room and playing with whatever he can get into.

Denise, that's great on the job at Sears! I'm glad that's working out for you!

~~~~~
Owen had his 15m check up today, and we did get a referral to a physical therapist and a CA early intervention program to work on his walking. The dr. thinks he has some weak muscle tone in his legs and his toes point in a little - both probably from how he was positioned in the womb. She says it's something he'll probably grow out of and not anything really to be concerned about, but we might as well get him into some programs now to work on it, especially since both programs are free. (Bonus! :cool1: )
He did charm and impress his dr. with his language and social skills, and showed off some of his few signs. He was too funny flirting with her for part of the appointment, and then mostly ignored her and started asking for "crackers" (any cracker/cookie-like snack), "blueberries" (sounds like "boo-bahs"), "book", "more", "uh-oh" (dropped the book), and "wow" when the dr. gave him a new book. And in between there was plenty of babbling and pointing and clapping, and he even blew the dr. a kiss! :laughing: Yep, that's our boy. Not the most coordinated kid on the block, but he'll be sure to share his opinion with you whether you want to hear it or not! ;)
He's not grown much since his 12m appt, and has dropped in the %. He's a little squirt - 21lb1oz (8%), 31" (39%), and 18.5"HC (45%). But when he's not sick heeats like crazy! Breakfast today was 1 scrambled egg, 1/2c strawberries, 1/4c blackberries, 1/2 slice whole wheat toast, and 2 graham crackers, plus about 3oz milk! Snacks are about 1/2 of what he eats at meals, and meals are all about as big as breakfast.
Anyway, hopefully the intervention will help Owen start walking soon.
Bethany I actually totally got your post. I have no issues with spending money on things that are worth it. Heck if you look in my house and see our fridge, washer & dryer, the crib we bought... you'll see we don't always just buy cheap. We buy quality. Or the jogging stroller we bought. It was more expensive than some, but it had every single feature that was important to me as a jogger. I totally get that.
I agree with you, I don't understand why people feel like they *have* to shop at a certain store just to be good. Or they have to have to $500 car seat because every one else does. Never mind that it doesn't fit in their car well nor does it have teh features they wanted.
I grew up with a lot of "keeping with the Joneses" mentality. I don't get it and I never will.
I hope I didn't offend anyone when i was saying what I did. It was more of an amusing thing to see. Those who had decent amount of money, but were no more than "upper middle class" tried so hard to prove they fit in with what they bought. While those who came from money and stayed with money were the ones who were more frugal. I know some of the not as rich got so caught up in it that they were deeply in debt and weren't able to afford to furnish some of the rooms in their huge homes. Kind of sad.
I've rambled enough. DS is cranky again today due to his teeth. I hope he just eats as well as yesterday. His nap was horrible though. I had to snuggle him back to sleep. Poor kid :(
Good Morning All!
Bethany, sounds like Owen is going to be quite the conversationalist! It's great you are able to gt him into EI. I know of several kids that didn't start walking until 14 months (some even later than that).
Denise, congats on finding Sears!
clgwli, I hope his teeth don't bother him today. :hug:
Spencer had a horrible night sleeping; he was up every two hours and didn't want to go back to sleep. He is teething. Usually he sleeps until 8, but he was up before 7.
He is in a good mood right now though. I hope that continues throughout the day.
I got interrupted and wanted to say something two more things... of course not all in my neighborhood were like what I said, but it was interesting how some of them played out.
We're definitely not on the richer end here and I shop thrift more than I shop real stores for clothes. For many items though we did choose quality over quantity so to speak. But in the end I think if you like what you do and can afford it, have fun :D
And Bethany a good friend of mine had a DD who didn't walk until she was about 18 or 19 months. She was in PT mostly because she wasn't even crawling at 12 months though. It turns out her ankles are weak and that's what took her so long. Another friend of mine's DS didn't walk until 15 months and nothing was wrong. It takes all types.
Amber I hope Spencer gets a good nights sleep soon. Teething is the worst thing I think about having a kid. I feel so bad for them and it gets frustrating :(
Happy Friday everyone! :goodvibes
Denise - Congrats on the job!! That is fantastic!
Michelle - So cute that Will can make the lion sound! Brady loves to do that sound too...especially when we are watching the Lion King and Simba is practicing his roar. It's really funny to watch him, watching Simba, and they are both "roaring". :laughing: Oh - and Brady is also in the SAME exact boat as Will as far as the talking thing....and he is 19 months. I try not to worry about it....there is just such a huge curve for "normal" right now. Some kids may be talking in 2-word phrases...and then there are our boys. :rolleyes: I try to look at it as I would if I were eval'ing him as one of my kids at work....and there is no way at this point I would qualify Brady for speech services. If at 2 years old he still only has a handful of words, then I may refer him. But for now...just waiting for that "language explosion" that happens between 15-24 months.
Kara - Glad to hear Caleb had a good night sleeping! :thumbsup2
Bethany - That is great that Owen had a good 15 month appointment. You will have to keep us posted on his PT stuff. I am sure he will do great and be running around in no-time! :goodvibes
Amber - Sorry to hear that Spencer had a rough night last night. :hug: At least he is in a good mood! Hopefully that will last through the day!!
Anyone I missed.....hope all is well!! :goodvibes
Ok...so do you guys remember how I talked about the Carter's recall? Carter's is recalling clothing with "white stamped" size backgrounds. (You can go on their website for more detail...the link is on the bottom left corner of their site). So I contacted them to get information on sending back Brady's clothing that fits the recall because he often got strange rashes on the back of his neck, and in retrospect, we thought they *may* have been caused by the tags. They said absolutely send them back...so we did. I emailed yesterday to make sure they received the box of clothes, and the lady replied....................
"Yes, and your check for $650.00 is in the mail". :eek: :eek: :eek:
Holy crap!!! $650?!?!?! I couldn't believe it! I figure we will save it to use for Brady's clothing for the next few seasons! Perfect!!! :thumbsup2
In other news, Brady is *finally* on the mend and ate a normal dinner and breakfast today. Thank god. I was really starting to worry about his fluid in-take since being so sick. But, I think we are rounding the corner. We were supposed to go to a birthday party tomorrow, but are not going as I don't want to take the chance of Brady infecting another little kiddo - AND - I don't really want him exposed to any other colds, etc.. until he has fully recovered from this virus!
We are planning on going to the Boston Baby Fair on Sunday. Seeing as we are planning on starting to TTC in a few months, I want to see all the new "stuff". So, we are going with my best friend who is 3 two months pregnant. We went the March before we had Brady, and won a YEAR of free formula!! Definitely worth the trip!!! :thumbsup2
Good morning ladies!
You guys are a chatty bunch - lots to catch up on in just 2 days.
Christina: That stinks about Gymboree. How did you pay? If you paid by credit card you should dispute it asap - if you paid by check - call your bank and see if you can stop payment/reverse the check.
K Relie: I don’t think you are mean for taking away the credit cards – you are doing a hard thing that is right for your family and will make you guys better off in the long run! Good job. By the way - I like the bridesmaid dress color - very pretty.
Ash: A food diary is a good idea – before going through the IVF I did Weight Watchers and kept a food diary there and that helped a lot – I think I will try that again. As for Ms. Perceptive Ellery - aren’t they a riot at this age - they notice everything - they are like little cute sponges.
WDWChewy; Welcome!! I am so glad to hear your little one is doing better. What a scary ordeal that must have been.
Kelly: Glad to hear you and Brady are feeling better. This really sidelined you guys for several days — you poor things!!
Jean: Sorry to hear that your son is having so much trouble teething – poor little guy. Hopefully those molars will break out soon and he will have some relief.
Amber: Ugh - I know how hard that is when kids are pills – sorry Spencer is being like that - its maddening!! But I have to say the whole covering his ears thing is pretty funny - where did he learn that? It must be hard not to laugh at that.
Michelle: It sounds like Will is doing awesome - I love the lion roaring. I will have to teach Izzy that one. She is really good at her animal sounds – right now she does dog, pig, cow, sheep and monster -- I must admit that monster is my favorite - you ask her what does the monster say and she goes “rrrarrrarr” and sometimes if you ask her - what does the nice monster say she goes “rarrr hi hi rarrr hi” so nice monsters say Hi while they growl and other monsters just growl - its hysterical.
Denise: Congrats on the job - what great news. Its funny how life comes around full circle. Will you have medical coverage there? Good luck with the new job!
Bethany: That doctors appointment with Owen sounded like a hoot – how funny and cute and what a social little guy you have there. I think its good he referred you to EI but I am sure that Owen is fine – when Izzy saw EI they gave us some exercises to do with her to strengthen her legs and encourage her to walk and it worked like a charm. Good luck!
Bec: Hi!!
Hello to anyone I missed!!
****************
Well - last night was another sleeping night from H*E*L*L!!! Izzy is not throwing up anymore which is good and she even ate some soup and crackers last night - also good. But she would not go to sleep. DH got her down around 730 but she woke up again around 830 and was up all night. She would intermittenly go back down. When I got home from the office around 10pm she was sleeping but she woke up around 1045pm – I got up with her so DH could get some sleep. Well the little bugger was up all night till 200am!!! ! After rocking her and trying to get her down - I finally brought her into the living room around midnight and laid on the couch with her and I watched tv (the Office on DVR) -- well she was wide awake watching with me - when it was over I picked her up to try bed again only to discover that she, the couch and I were wet – she had peed and the diaper leaked (which it hardly ever does) and long story short – everyone is covered in pee – so she gets changed, I get changed, couch gets cleaned...and I try to put her back down but she won’t go!!! So I took her upstairs and we slept in the guest room bed (didn’t want to disturb DH) -- she wouldn’t sleep there either – she finally conked out - probably from sheer exhaustion around 2am but she was up raring to go this morning at 700am. I am **so** tired today!
In other great news - and I know some of you saw my FB announcement – I am going to be an aunt – I have never been an aunt before!! My brother and his wife are pregnant - they are due October 29th – I am so excited!!!!
Have a great day ladies.
-Nicole
Denise, congrats to you! Sounds like things are going great!
Welcome to our new and not so new friends!;)
Kelly -- you had posted this before and I frankly didn't think much about it because alot of Izzy's Carter clothing is now in storage for baby #2 in our crawl space -- but wholly crap -- $650 -- that is a ton of money -- I am going to dig out her stuff and send it back. Thanks again for the info!!! Have fun at the baby fair!!
Hi Meredith -- how are you? Have a good day with the kiddos.
