I never got into the train legos. I think because I had electric trains when I was little. I made a lot of jets though. But when I moved to the mountains all I did was play outside and I used my legos twice in high school to make models for visual aids. Then not again until DS was 4.

So I really had old set and now new sets. Wow thier has been a lot of evolution. But i hate the parts that are specific to a set. I like the universal parts the best.

The Lego trains have evolved over the years with the battery power car, electric tracks and now back to the electric power car. Even though the company had made more new parts that were good for some specific Legos, I still love the old classic ones.

Insipid? Will this be a great Thriller?

Or better to watch The Village again?

Insipid, I don't recall that film right off, nor the village.

Most recently I have seen Red Riding Hood and Battle L A. And I am interested in watching Insidious. It looks interesting enough to spend money on. Like me. ;)

You never saw "The Village"?

I don't recognize the title right off. Is that the one where everyone lives as if they are in a past century, with only a small group knowing that it is actually the 20 th Century? ( I believe this film came out then, otherwise, 21 st Century)

That's the one. Where everyone is kept stupid but then it fails in the end and only worked for 20 years.

I found that film to be very disappointing. That became the case when I began to realize that in all likely hood, that the village was essentially based upon a hoax. It does not matter how well intentioned, either. For I really wanted to see the beast (Whatever it might actually look like)

Seeing the beast was great, but seeing they were fake and that it was all a hoax was aweful.

The way I remember it, there was no real beast. But rather the beastly modern world. Yes, that was some what interesting to me. However, it was of no great surprise to me either.

So where did everyone go? Was there another Island meeting that I did not know about?

Sorry, kind of but it was informal. We were all down by the beach fire pit trying to warm up from the cold rains. Sorry you didn't see the smoke, we were trying to signal you with it. Didn't you notice in the sky the cloudy smoke letters...G-i-s-e-l-e?

No I must have missed it, due to my taking swinging like Tarzan lessons from the big boss Monkey... his name is Keho. He has been giving these lessons since 1994. He is very popular with the local people, as well as with the tourists. And he has his own brand too. Which can easily be found at Banana Republic. He does not work for peanuts though, not since he watched a documentary on PBS about the AFL-CIO. No one can any longer monkey around with him. For he has a great contract. He received assistance from local businessman Ben Davis, who owns a successful work pants and clothing line, which is aptly named Ben Davis Ape Wear. Keho is also his cousin, not by blood, since Keho is a monkey, but rather by species, since they are both primates. Anyway, so that is what I had been doing earlier today, when y'all had a meeting without me, again.

Less fun more useful. A bucket of mixed legos. Hinges, wheels and swivels, and any really long pieces.

10 cents a lego. So set with 402 like the TS3 Dump truck set#7599 would be $40.20 but it's not. The specialty sets they are cobranded like this. Star Wars and Indy all sell at a premium. about 12 or 13 cents a lego.

This set I got my DS for his birthday is really nice. Lots of long pieces, plates and morving parts. Plus it is now commonly on sale for $39.99 just under 10cents a block. Perlster published a link here for this set for this price and free shipping on Amazon a week of two ago. It's probably down a page.

Kerri, only problem is I think next trip I'm taking DS and he's not old enough to roam on his own. Though maybe one of yours could be a cheap sitter.

Bret,
I also want to know if we get AP discounts at the lego store. That would be nice.

LOL Yes, they are cheap sitters....LOL :) If we were there together I'm sure they'd be happy to help. :) They are good kids. :)

The Hoth Lego product is very interesting.

That must be very exciting to work on the Death Star.

When I bought Star Wars Figures (Clone Soldiers & Mandalorian Soldiers) at the DTD last month, I gave them my Premier Pass and they accepted it. I was about to give them my D23 card, but luckily I didn't have to get that card out. They gave me the 10% discount with my purchase and I saved $3 on that purchase.

Those are always must do rides when you are at the parks. I am kind of surprise that you like the DLRR.

I love building with legos ever since I was a very young child, I must have over 100+ sets and over thousands of pieces in my room and closets.

Yes, I did get a 10% discount with my AP when I presented it at the Lego store. All the APs get a 10% discount when you buy at the Lego store.

I wonder...if it was due to the fact it was a Premier Pass? Either way, it would be pretty awesome if AP holders got that discount.....we have nephews who are big into Legos, they keep them at Gma's house because they have too many little ones at their own house and man, they are all over those Legos at Gma's. :)

Hey, what about me?? L:OL

I was running errands all day, have to pay the bills before we can go on our Disney trip in 2 weeks. :)

It's really hard to make a K with smoke signals. Sorry Kerri. Next time I'll give you a heads up before we head down to the beach.

Ok, you all realize you are really not on an island .right?:rotfl:

Since when? Hey who moved my palm tree? I hate it when that happens......... ;)

The island is larger than Alcatraz, but smaller in comparison to the big Island (Hawaii)
