Nope these are not farm animals they are strictly pets...I don't really do the whole fur thing just for the sake of fur. Although the animals we hunt do get used completely I couldn't imagine killing something just for it's skin.

Skiing was great today. Not deep powder snow. It was sunny until about 2pm and started to cloud up and then snow in the evening. But lots of fun, hitting jumps and skiing in the trees.

Are you expected to get flooding down there? It sounds like it may be extremely rainy in some parts of Cali.

Matt, sounds like you had a great skiing day on this first day of Spring!!!

I am just watching the late News and the intense high winds seem to be more of a problem than flooding BUT if this pouring rain keeps up, I am sure we will have flooding to deal with.

Me too! I could not believe the ending! Omg! I never expected that at all! I am soooo sad this show is over! DH and I love it! We are going to miss it!

Maybe HBO will bring it back? Hopefully with the same characters and their original actors. You know just moments before you know what is heard, I said to my self, OMG, he is going to kill him. Yep they love Chinchilla dust..rolling around in it is how they bathe...Except in extreme circumstances Chinchillas should not get wet. In the wild they do their rolling bath thing in Volcanic Ash.

Volcanic ash... that is interesting, I did not know that. I just cannot get over how cute the little guys are. OK, singular. Do you have a picture where they are all together? Or do they get territorial or something?

Their parents are R2D2 (MOM) and General Grevious (DAD) so our son wanted to keep the Star Wars naming thing and since we had twins one boy one girl we named them after the only twins in Star Wars their names are Luke Skywalker & Leia Organa.

Not territorial at all in fact they are one of the few rodents that the Father is almost as involved as the mother in raising the kits. I don't have one of the whole family together just because if I had all 4 out of the cage at once and they all started jumping I would end up chasing Chinchillas all over the house. It took 30+ pics to get a few good ones since they move so fast. Not sure even with DH helping I could keep track of all 4 at once.

They should not get wet. In an extreme case they can be bathed in water but they cannot remain wet and it takes about 2 hours to blow dry a chinchilla since their fur is so dense if they don't get dry all the way to the roots the roots of their fur grows fungus ick! I did know one person who had to wet wash her chinchilla at her vets recommendation due to it jumpoing into her cake batter and getting it stuck throughout her fur. Glad mine don't roam as free as hers did LOL.

GOOD MONDAY MORNING, Misfits!! Well after a night of intense high winds and pouring down rain … its not so bad now!!! Rain and winds have stopped and looks even like the sun may return!!!

My new puppy sherri ate my couch last night....



i know she looks sweet and innocent, but man she ate my couch!!!!!!

Awwwwwww....she must really like her new home...she's making a nest!


A month ago a customer of mine said she had just paid off her new leather couch that she bought in the summer. The rest of the story... Her christmas present to herself was a new bull dog puppy. His New Year's party was ripping apart the center back cushion while she was out to ring in the new year. She cant even reverse the cushion to hide it.


I've got a chair that I let my two cats claw. Anywhere else and they got the squirt bottle....they learned.

Everyone should know this about the Misfit Island Resort. While the pool has a swim up bar, and plenty of cushioned lounge chairs some under umbrellas and some not.

The room aren't more than two cots under a hammered tin roof supported by four bamboo poles. Mesqutos netting is included for the wet season.

Just saw this.

As long as my adult beverage has an umbrella in it and looks like a Carmen Miranda hat I'm good...rain or shine!


Now where are my Ray Ban's?
