I am SOOO confused.

My last post on our old thread I believe may have caused all this mess - if I did cause it because of my stupid idiocy about my rotten physician, I AM TRULY SORRY TO EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY OUR FORMER LOUNGE GODDESS AND OP

I have made some wonderful friends here and do not wish to be the basis for causing bad feelings and stress - GOD knows, we all seem to have enough of that in our lives.

I want to remain friends with you but understand the need to maintain decorum and the DIS rules, please let me know and I'll leave. I truly believe in the physician adage, "First Do No Harm." If I have harmed, is there anything I can do to fix it?

This is ridiculous! I started a thread, with the caveat that it could be closed as soon as I found everyone...or where everyone had disappeared to. It was done with thoughtfulness not thoughtlessness...as yours was KRIS!

Kris, do not feel guilty at all. Have some Stash's Passion Tea ( a wonderful brew btw)...and tell all those with small minds to take a flying leap! Please don't allow someone's else's insecurities to affect you. I am so sorry that you are being targeted for doing something right.

First let me say this is NOT any one of you all's fault.

The thread was merely split to keep resort topics on the resort board and personal stuff over here on the Community Board.

One person decided that she was not okay with the change and/or the board guidelines/policies, and therefore she is no longer with us at this time.

Please, those of you with hurt feelings and those that are having fingers pointed at you, don't let it get you down. NO ONE here did anything wrong, and none of you caused any issues. This was just an administrative decision to bring the resort board within DIS posting guidelines.

The actions of a few should not affect the masses.

Please enjoy your new home here on the CB.

Kris: We are doing a resort switch, after our kids leave. We'll be at the WL until the 27th and then the 28th and 29th at the PC (hubby is a col. in the USAFR and $43.00 per night was too good to pass up...we usually spend two days before and two days after our WDW stay "off property"....so we'll still be there!

I'm all packed btw! It's easy to do, for us, as warm weather clothing has long since been put to rest. We both have heavy schedules all week so yesterday was packing day! Woooo-wooo! Our flight leaves @ 5 AM on Friday morning....all of our kids, kids-in-law, and grandchildren arrive throughout the weekend...we check into the WL on Saturday...much to the consternation of the concierge staff I'm sure!!! *L*....

Yes, guys! I really feel something must have been pulled out of context on this whole issue and we've all had our feelings hurt in one way or another. We now have a new home right here for non-resort info stuff; which I must agree would be more appropriate after thinking it over. I think we all can be chatty, but we just can't help ourselves. Well, at least I know I can't help but be chatty after to getting to know you guys. I hope our gang will once again be reunited very soon. I really miss hearing your plans as well as sharing cares and concerns.

I didn't think it was a huge deal to start a new thread when ours filled, and just wanted to kick things off. As soon as she opened hers, I apologised to her and asked that mine be closed, which it was. I don't understand how everything just exploded after that, but since I started that first replacement thread, I feel the weight of the world on me now. I just got a PM from someone blaming me for it all. I feel like I'm back in grade 8.

storybookmum, please don't feel bad. I think many of us received the same PM. I also thought I was doing a good thing by trying to keep this thread going, but apparently it's been a trying and emotional time for the orginal thread-starter. I hope we can all just move on and let the persons whose battle this was in the first place work things out bewtween themselves. This lounge is full of the warmest, most helpful people and it would be a shame to see that lost.

You're all right, it's time to band together again and move forward, with all due respect to our OP. This is a very warm and supportive place to be, and I'm glad it's safely up and running, in its new location.

Goofysuse, I'm going to PM you with a bit of our info in case our paths cross, which would be lovely. I don't know where PC is, but I'm confident you'll enlighten me. We still have a mixture of our clothing accessible; it's been very erratic weather here. I thew all the kids' shorts and stuff up onto the closet shelf, though, so I just have to sort through what's actually coming, as I'm trying to keep it lighter. I have to pick one or two warmer outfits, as well, because I know it can get cool at night.

steveanddonna, I suspected that must have been a group email but wasn't sure. I wouldn't qualify it as hate mail, for those who didn't get it; it certainly could have been worse. Hopefully someone just needed to say their piece and move on.

Hey lizards - Please, no more apologies or feelings of blame. Although I am relatively new to the LL and perhaps do not have the strong emotional connection that many of you share, I think I may have a somewhat objective perspective. While I don't have all the details, things became more clear last night as I PMed a couple of you. What I saw early this morning on many of your clippies was very disturbing - I couldn't imagine that all of you agreed to have your clippies changed to that. I soon learned that it was the work of the now banned Dis member. To me, that crossed the line. No one has the right to take over your identity and transmit something you did not agree to. So don't take on any blame here. It was obviously a huge misunderstanding that someone took to a rather ugly level. I had wanted to just move on today but with all these bad feelings, I just had to express my own. And maybe that's what it takes to move forward. I hope so. And now I can say "Amen."

Hello all--gosh, go away for a couple of days and it all really hits the fan! Thanks VGal for the heads-up on the new LL location.

I've been on these boards since nearly the inception and I've seen so many of these mini dramas over the years--it's sad really. I hate to say it, but I almost made the fatal mistake of re-starting the thread myself. I found the closed thread that had exceeded the # of pages and I immediately began to post a new thread. Fortunately, as I began to type it, I thought twice and figured it could cause some hurt feelings and then deleted before I even finished! I totally see the others' point of view--no malice was intended--as was I, they were simply trying to keep us up and running.

Pass the wine and cheese and toast to our new LL and hope that all will be forgiven soon. Life's way too short to let misunderstandings make you unhappy and keep you from things you really love.

Nice seeing everyone again --I already spend a fair amount of time on CB--just watch out for those political threads--they're definite BP elevators.

I'm happy to see you back and GoofyJoofy, I'll still be looking for your wonderful family at Cape May. Your DW and I were discussing our shared stress over this vacation. I've worked mine out and am once again looking forward to being down there (I think the 5" of snow might have helped my attitude). I hope you have smooth sailing also.

I am almost at 30 days!!! I bought my Christmas cards. I'm going to start addressing them and put a Disney stamp on them and use my cute little Disney return address label. Can someone tell me where I can mail them from Disney to get a special postmark??

Steffy, I'm trying to picture those little ones all bundled up in snowsuits and having life jackets on. All I can see is Ralphie's little brother from The Christmas Story movie. Hopefully you know which one I mean and I'm not sitting here laughing by myself. I lost out on the Illuminations cruise to the Mousefest group, but before then, I had asked the pre-planners about having some hot chocolate and cookies on board. I'm wondering if they can also make arrangements to have a few blankets available. That might be more comfortable than having to be all bundled up and not being able to lower their arms

I don't know if I can watch Extreme Makeover. Last week I was crying my eyes out during most of it! I remember reading about the family in the paper as it was being filmed, but reading and seeing were two totally different things. What a deserving family!*and from the tri-county area, too!* (We're still in the tri-county area... just two miles from being out of it in two different directions!) LOL

DD is now talking about joining us in January, and she wants AKL concierge (as her brother and I both do)... hmmmm DH falls for the begging from her. Maybe I can get her to beg him when he gets back next weekend!
