The New Kinder, Gentler Me - The Rubber Chicken is Loose!! Pg 19/#283!!!

See now you're all going to think I just said that for you to all say I am funny. :rotfl2:

That's not why I said you're funny...silly rabbit...I said you're funny because you offered me $20 to say it. There...I've said it. Please send payment...we accept Paypal!!:lmao:

Are we meant to clean the house?????

I'm certainly not...He was doing laundry :laundy: or something, so I felt I should neaten up a bit, otherwise he'd stop working!!!:lmao:

You really must learn to eat less messily! :rotfl:

All Michael needs to do is LOOK at a Mickey bar and it instantly appears all over his face and clothes...More Disney Magic!!!:wizard:

At least he'll go on it my DD's just refuse!

Maybe this will be their year!:thumbsup2

We always try to do this but in 14 days manage it about twice! :confused3

I'm definitely going to try it again, that's for sure!

Wow you don't get that at a moderate, another reason to do DVC!
I really loved SSR, even though we only stayed a few days...it's really suited us!!

How many of you were drinking? :lmao:

Well, let's see...I got 2 for me and 2 for DH....what are you implying??:confused3 It just so happens that DH didn't drink his #2....so I took one for the team...yet again....:rolleyes1

Good old hand gestures hey and how about the pigeon English where you speak real slow in English but with a foreign accent.

I actually find myself talking really slow and really LOUD, like I'm speaking to someone who's hard of hearing, rather than non-english speaking!

I'm not telling YET....

And.....STANDING OVATION for DisneyJo for her multi-quoting skills!!!:woohoo:

It isn't alcohol related, cause you have your jack/coke in your room and you just got some margarita's. You stumped the band Lauralee
Wait for it....I'm telling yet...

Hmmmmm...the SECOND person in TWO POSTS to reference my alcohol consumption....

Et tu, Brute?? You guys trying to tell me something????:confused3

I know exactly how you felt... we did the whole "take a break" thing using the TGM advice, and I couldn't help but feel we were losing valuable park time. I now know it was the best thing I could have done.

I guess Disney knows best...they've said it for years...I always thought it was a ploy to get people to stay on site...

Dontcha love when they yada, yada, yada you!:lmao:

Yeah, the kid gives as good as he gets..."Blah blah blah" is now outlawed in my house though...I'd tell him to do something and he go stomping off muttering, "Yeah, yeah, blah blah blah"...:headache: DOH...the kid listens to ALL THE WRONG STUFF...more of that to come in a future off topic installment about the phone call I got from his teacher the other day!
100_4324.jpg

Ah well. Next time. Gotta give him an A for effort. I think it’s the way he stood. He tilted his head back, chin up. I think he needed to keep the back of his melon up straight. No one listens to me though. :headache: He measured 44-1/2" at his last doctor's appt a little over a month ago...I know he's got it in him....
Gotta agree with you on that one. The back of their noggin is always a little higher. :thumbsup2

AH HA!!! I knew it!! DH thought I was crazy with the whole back of the head thing! I knew I was smarter than him!!:rolleyes1 Just saying...

That's exactly the spot DH got into a fight with a drunk Australian guy!

What is it about that area??? And now that you mention, I think I recall reading about that!!:surfweb:

Please warn us ahead of time when there will be a test question. :teacher: I'm going with "Mama poured herself a nice Jack & Coke, before hitting the sack.":confused3

Oh man...not you too...??? That's 3 people in 3 consecutive posts referencing my alcohol consumption...AHEM while I'm on VACATION!!:headache: Are you guys trying to tell me something? Is August a set up? Am I showing up for an intervention???? That's it...I'm not going!!!:sad2:

And no...THAT's not it...For future reference...today's Jeopardy question DOES NOT, I REPEAT, DOES NOT REFERENCE JACK DANIELS!!

Hmmmmm....what could it be then???? Come on, V...where are you? Tiggerwannabe??? Anyone??? Are those crickets I hear??? You guys will DEFINITELY know the answer! Help a sister out!!!

Uh oh... DH gets worse and sends the kinder, gentler Lauralee off with cutie pie Michael?

Yep...you got it sista!! The Mominator & Mini-Me storm the Magic Kingdom!!!pirate:

Nah, I'm just not good at test questions!:lmao: I did graduate Kinder, though, in case I haven't mentioned it...:confused3

I'm soooo looking forward to the August intervention... I mean consumption. :lmao:

BTW, where is V????? ::magnify:

LY,MI!

I think poor V is still down with the "grip"...

OR maybe she's got a lot of catching up to do at work/home BECAUSE of the "grip"

Michael's got it...burning up with fever, coughing, stuffy...UGH

On a lighter note, he had a real good day at school yesterday and didn't "flip any cards" at school yesterday...turns out he was so well behaved cuz he didn't feel good:sick:

I had never even thought before to tell him to tell someone if he doesn't feel good at school. He suffered in silence all day and when he got home you could have cooked an egg on his little forehead...:sad2: Stupid teachers should have known when he was being so quiet that he wasn't feeling well!

His old pre-school teacher in NH was awesome...she knew that when he was quiet that something was wrong. I'd hear, "Michael was really well behaved today. I think he must be coming down with something."

Sure enough...she was right. All the time!

beyond the fact that you totally cracked me up..yet..aGain! I am far to tired to type, yet spell or punctuate...sorry!

You have gotta have some kind of major intervention at your ds school. things are just not good there! Is this a public place? do you have the option of open enrolling him elsewere?

I hope the little guys feels better sooN! Sleep I go or come...whatever?!?

Oh my goodness, your son is sooo cute!!! I love that picture of him trying to be tall enough for the ride. Too funny!!! Loving your TR!!! :yay:

Thanks! He's a sweetie. Thanks for reading and I hope to have an update up in the next day or two!:thumbsup2

When we got back to SSR, we got off at the Paddock bus stop, which was kind of far away from our building. You may recall we got on the bus at the Congress Park stop, which was pretty much across the street. The Paddock stop was a pretty decent walk, but it was an unbelievably beautiful day and I was dreading having to settle down and take a nap, so I didn’t mind much.
100_4292.jpg
Okay, I'm completely in love with SSR! I totally should have just bought me some DVC points and been done with it. Have you gotten to know any SSR peeps yet? Anyone who might, for instance, wnat to rent me some points?! :rotfl:

Ok, it’s now 2pm. Now what do I do? I decide to give the whole nap thing one more shot and lay back down for my second attempt. I closed my eyes and thought Disney thoughts and when I next opened my eyes it was 3:30!!! WHAT?!?! I NAPPED?!?!?!? And ya know what? I FEEEEEL GRRRRRREAT!!!! How can this be? I went outside and had a butt and a few minutes later DS came outside, also feeling great. “Good nap mom”. AH HA….I’ve seen Oprah talk about having an Ah Ha moment. Well my friends. I just had mine. A nap in the middle of the day, as crazy as it sounds, did us a world of good. This could be a good sign! And stood up, looked around at the resort and it looked like it didn’t disappear or fall apart on me while I slept. Everything was ok. So apparently a nap in the middle of the day is not such a crazy idea at all. Go figure.
Oh the bliss of the Disney nap! I'm so, so glad you all finally got to experience it :goodvibes I'm really hoping to re-institute the Disney nap next trip, but it's been a tough sell lately. Even an afternoon break for pool or general rest time works, though:thumbsup2

I took DS’s picture in front of the building and then went over to lady at the height line…I got him ready to take his picture and what’s this? Nope. Not tall enough. They wouldn’t let him ride. Tony said this was the same lady who measured him before we rode TT and this time there was someone with her and she said no. DS was disappointed, as were both of us. I could see it the moment he posed for his picture…look at the way he’s got his head…

Aw, poor little guy! it's so hard to get them to stand just right under those things.

Un-obstructed. Judges opinion needed: V – is that a word?
Unobstructed, check. No hyphen. ;)

Oh, and bonus points for anyone who catches the phrase that I DIDN’T use at all during our first full day here. Anyone?
"LOOK - PHOTOPASS!!!!" ?????

I'm here! Feeling better, though I'm still hacking up a lung. Just couldn't get to the computer all weekend. Lauralee's 100% right - LOTS of cleaning/laundry/homework/shopping to catch up on, plus I had DS, so we needed some quality time, too. Went to the beach yesterday, but it was WAY too windy - I've been exfoliated all over, I swear!

Missed you guys, too :goodvibes

Hey Lauralee! I'm sorry that I'm late to your new TR!!! :sad1: Please forgive me! I just finished catching up and I'm loving the new kinder, gentler you! :thumbsup2 I'm impressed! A NAP??? I don't know how you did it?! I have a hard time sitting still when we go back to the room in the afternoons, let alone take a nap! :lmao: And NO PLANS or ADRs??? Gasp! :scared:

Michael is SUCH a cutie! I wouldn't worry too much about him getting into trouble at school at this age. The teachers sound like they're being a bit too strict. I'm sure the 'personal space' and the talking in class thing is just a phase. Conner went through the same thing at Michael's age. It'll get better, you'll see!

I'm glad you got to stay at SSR! Did you guys get a chance to walk to Downtown Disney? We stayed at SSR right after it opened, and really fell in love with the place! Now we can't wait for AKV to open up, too! I'm glad DVC is giving us more choices now, aren't you?

Well, I'd better go for now! Keep up the great work on your TR!

Take care,
Michelle

:cheer2: DING DING DING DING DING!!!!! :cheer2: That's right ladies....PrincessV, who is now 2 for 2, guessed correctly!!! She is now the proud winner of 2 free Lapu Lapu's (and some Benadryl) to be awarded on the 25th of August!!! And yes, winners must be present to receive their prize!!!

Thank you all for playing...and THANK YOU, V :thumbsup2 for knowing that it DIDN'T involve ALCOHOL!!!:lmao:

And if any of you are wondering what the other question was that makes her 2 of 2, it was back in the Magical Mulligan when I asked who knew what Rita Moreno used to yell on the Electric Company...a trick question, really, as only New Yorkers would know that....I think....:rolleyes1

Heyyyy you guyyyyyyyyyyyyys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, back to housework.....later gators!!!

WHA?:headache:

Naps at WDW?!:confused3

Oh..........my...........GAAAAAAWWWWWWWWD!!!:sad2:

I know, I know...I couldn't believe it either!!!:sad2: I must be getting....gulp....old? I dunno. BUT the good thing was that I got a lot more mileage out of Michael that way though...:thumbsup2 he was well rested and didn't get tired and dragging and cranky that night. Was nice!!

I've been wondering where you are and have been lurking over your way my friend!!

We didn't walk to Downtown Disney this time, but we plan on definitely doing that and maybe an evening boat ride...it's awesome to have the choice! I just wish they had an on-site kids club like the Neverland Club there...it's kind of a tease being so close to DTD with no babysitter:sad2:

The whole nap thing? It may never work again, who knows, and I had a hard time settling down, but it really wasn't bad...who knows...I could be on to something...Besides, Tony and Michael really needed naps...the old guy and the kid just slow me down so I needed to re-charge their batteries!!:lmao:

This is good sutff! I'm trying to get caught up!! :surfweb:

Darn! I KNEW V would know. She pays more attention. No fair, next time make it a remedial question for us village idiots!:lmao:
2!!! She gets 21 Lapu's??? Great, now I have Lapu envy!;)
