Hi gals!
I have been busy with the holidays ...ouch it seems family starts crawling through the woodwork during the holidays! I just wanted to post that we have 26 days until we will be at the Grand!  :cheer2:

I am going to start packing this week but not sure what to pack AACKKK we have always done Disney in the summer and it has been rather cool lately.
We are flying so room for the luggage is a concern ... I need to save room for all those wonderful treasures (junk) we will be getting!
Any suggestions on what to pack for the first week in Feb?

Ok... that's really easy... about all the extra stuff you get... Guest Services or whatever they are calling it these days can get you a box and some tape and you just ship it all home!!! I do it every trip - not just because I overpack, but because I OVERBUY!!!! :thumbsup2

Have fun!!!

Oh and Channing...

I just thought... if you an DH goe on a trip for you anniversary... go a bit off season... that way you can relax and enjoy and really rediscover why you love the GF so much!!!

Fun!!:goodvibes

I can get decent air for 3/19 but nothing that great on the return but I am looking.

I just don't know how Jojo will feel about the Easter bunny coming to a hotel room. :rolleyes1 She is my hold out but we are working on her.

Channing :)

Tell her the Easter Bunny makes special stops at WDW!!! & then try and sneak a couple of Disney things into her basket!!! But be prepared... you'll have crowds again...
(I'm alergic to crowds...)

I hope the end of Sept is still kind of off season. Twenty years ago, it was DEAD when we were there! We walked all around WS and hardly saw anybody!!

Ya, I hate crowds toooooo... I need to step back and really decide if I want to do this. It will be so fun with just my girls and me because we like to take it slower but still.....crowds and rudeness again. Not sure if I am up for that part.

Dreams - YES! :goodvibes We went to WDW last May and it was beautiful! I was really surprised the F/G Fest starts so early in the year. I was thrilled to see that it will be going on. Looks like we will be at the Swan this time, too, so perfect to stroll over and look around. :)

Ok... lets clarify this...

You may be SLEEPING at the Swan/Dolphin... but you will be hanging out with all your friends at the GF!!! ;)

:goodvibes You're right. :thumbsup2

It will be nice to try the Swan anyway since it has all been redone just recently completed the rehabs over there & I do love a good deal, too. That way if the trip stinks it isn't a total bust, haha. If I was paying the $1K/nt GF RPC rate:scared: (yes it's what it's going for during spring break! Geeze!!) I'd be ill if the trip sucked for any reason.:headache:

Channing,

Now that I know you are staying at the Swan...if I am not mistaken, they do an Easter Basket delivery (or maybe it's the Dolphin - I honestly can not remember) but I do specifically remember one or both of them offering some sort of Easter basket thing. You may want to give them a call and see if anyone can clue you in.

Hope that helps - I would love, love, love to go during Spring Break one year -crowds or no crowds!

Hope you have fun!

Hi Channing,

Did you decide to go to WDW for spring break and staying at the Swan? We'll be there from March 11-18! :yay:

Allen, we will not arrive until March 19. My kids have Good Friday on off & I am being bad and most likely taking them out early (if we go for sure) on Wednesday the 19th. Probably stay a week or a little more.:goodvibes

Have fun! I think with the redone rooms etc the Swan will be really really nice & the best deal around for WDW on spring break.:thumbsup2

- thanks for that info! I will call.

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to know if GF rehab is completed finished? DW requested Sago Cay but I heard (as of November) it was not yet renovated.

Any comments on a Sago Cay GV room?

A girls' trip sounds so much fun. We wanted to do a Christmas trip this year, but I simply could not convince my DD4 that Santa comes to hotels, so we pushed it to our Mardi Gras break instead. It was not worth her worrying about Santa coming during our trip.

Good luck with the convincing! Your DD is a few years older than mine, so maybe you have a better chance. Although personally, I am not sure I could take the Spring Break/Easter crowds ...:scared1:

Here is Mr and Mrs Bunny- of coarse they visit Disney!!!

They were working on it when we were there the middle of December. Should be done by now.

What would be the best GV building to request? My major concern is noise, and close to main building would be a plus.

Hi everyone! Great thread!! :sunny:

DH and I are considering RPC for our 10th anniversary, specifically a honeymoon room. Does anyone have pictures of this room, and where it (or they) are located?? Thanks! :)

P.S. Lives4Disney: I started reading this thread at Page 1 and made it to Page 32, but I didn't see anything about the honeymoon rooms so I figured I'd just post to ask... You ALMOST have me convinced that we should stay HERE for our 10th! The cabanas to rent... dinner at Victoria & Alberts... etc... All of that should make for a special anniversary trip! :thumbsup2

I always like to stay in Conch Key... Anyway.. even though it looks like it's spread out...it's really not. I think you will do well with most of the buildings.

there are 2 types of honeymoon rooms. teh regular looking rooms on teh 2nd floor above gasparillas with jacuzzi tubs and balconys, and then 6 turret octognoal shaped rooms with no jacuzzi tub and no balcony. I had a turret room for our honeymoon and it was amazing. the link to my TR with pics is in my siggy and on the first page of this thread. good luck!:thumbsup2

Thanks Heather, I am actually already reading your honeymoon trip report! :thumbsup2 I'm just at the point where poor "sickly" might be starting to feel better!! I will continue reading in a moment! :surfweb: (Beautiful pictures and excellent writing, by the way, thank you so much for taking the time to share that all with us!).

I have a few more questions if you don't mind! :) Ok, regarding the honeymoon rooms; do they all have king sized beds, or do some have the 2 queen beds?? Also, what are the views from the 2 different types?? In other words, do ALL of the jacuzzi rooms have the same view since they're all in about the same location, and do ALL of the turret rooms have the same view too?? You mentioned that the jacuzzi rooms are all on the 2nd floor; where are the turret rooms located?? Thanks so much for any info on this! I'm not totally discounting booking a regular RPC room, but I'd love to find out as much info about the honeymoon rooms as I can, so I can make an informed decision! Not sure which way to go; what advantage (if any) do the honeymoon rooms have over a regular RPC room? I see that the prices are about the same.
