I had to wake up this thread because we leave in one week!!!!!! I can't believe how fast the time has gone.

So, I tried to check my ressie online at the Disney website and put in my conf. number and phone number and I get a red message that says I need to enter my conf. number and phone number......dah. Did that. It NEVER works for me. How do you guys get to view your ressie online?? I booked on the phone. Is that why I can't??

Still trying to decide which way to go w/treats....Disney florist, Cookies by Design or PD. Maybe nothing since we will be stopping at the gingerbread house a lot.

QUESTION>>>>If we are staying in a lodge building, does it work like on the Travel Channel show of the GF where they hand you your key at check in (all sweet and smiley at midnight ) and there is a bell svc CM right there just waiting to DRIVE you to your building?? Or do we hoof it over and call for luggage??

Hi Channing.

I'm thrilled for you to be going so soon. I still have a little over a month left for my next trip! I can't stand the wait!! But it is exciting getting ready by buying everything I need for our trip.

Are you doing any great dining at Citricos or Narcoosees? We have reservations for both. I can't wait! These are our two favorites. The funny thing is is that when I woke up this morning I was craving a turkey leg from EPCOT!.

Have fun packing and getting ready this week....it will go fast for you.

Wow your trip is getting very close.

As for checking in - it all depends on it your room is ready or not. Twice our room was ready at check-in (we fly in early so it was before 11:00) and they took us to the room in a golf cart. The other times they stored our carry-ons, we called later and when the room was ready they just gave us our room number (we already had our KTTW cards) and we walked to our room. They delivered our luggage soon after (days before ME).

Have a wonderful trip - we're right behind you in January.

(We switched our July trip to YC - will the changes never end!)

For us, back in September, check in went smooth at around 3:30pm. We did "hoof it" over but we kinda wanted to anyway and our bags appeared later not sure exactly when as we used Magical Express. We were at dinner when they arrived.

As far as viewing your resv online... Go here:

Then log in and you should be able to see your resv.... if it doesn't jsut pop up you may need to put your confirm number in and some other personal info. But this should work for you.


Can't wait to see all the pictures you will take and here about your GV experience and how it is compared to your other stays. Treats.. .I know a toguh decision, I keep telling myself no treats need to save some dollars and the Gingerbread house should be enough but then I look at the pictures you posted and oh.... We will see!

My question today is in regards to Pins.. I know there are some limited edition pins that are coming out next week related to GF (the gingerbread house and and a bell xmas one with Mickey) the amount issuedseems to be pretty small. Does anyone know if there is a way short of being there next week to get them... or do I have to jsut take my chances and hope they are still available in December when we go?

Hey, Never say Never if you want to let me know specifically what pins you want I will pick them up for ya. I can do it Saturday the 17th. Do you think that will be too late?? When do they come out?? We have some of the GF gingerbread pins from the past and I know we'll be buying some more. My girls are big pin traders.

We will be landing in MCO at 11 pm! What the heck was I thinking booking this flight? I thought all along we had a 9 pm arrival. Ugh. So hopefully there won't be a line at the front desk at midnight on Friday. I think the kids would enjoy the little ride to the lodge. I was crazy to book my guys on the Epcot Segway tour at 9 on Sat morning, too. They're gonna love me haha. The girls are doing BBB at the castle Sat morning too. Me, I am free to sleep in!

Robyn, there is no telling where you'll wind up next July!!! At least you're going that's what counts. We booked RPC for our bday week again and hoping to do that.

Erin, I have to agree with NSN.....with a GV you will either have marina, pool, or garden view and they are all great.

Magical - Your trip will be here before you know it! THe holidays make the time fly by. I booked Narcoosees this time. It's a first for us. We have done Citricos and like that, too, but not this time. I also said we are done with 1900 PF but now I am bummed because I would have loved to see Lady Tremaine and the wicked step sisters. My daughters would too!!!!!! Nothing open.

Thanks for that check in luggage info. Let me know about the pins, Neversay never. You wouldn't want to stow away in my luggage!!! It will be jam packed and always seems to take a beating, too!!! Gonna check out that link - THANKS!

If you're referring to my post about Channing's ressie, I can check mine online and it is room only...I don't know about hers.

Hi, nope cannot view it online. It is a room only ressie. Not sure why I can't view it, but in previous trips I haven't been able to, either. I have my paperwork and I didn't cancel so I better have a room. I get the same old red message and it keeps just making me start over and enter the conf. # and phone # again over and over.

I am not expecting any upgrade. (it'd be nice, but it's doubtful) It's a 10 nt stay which is awesome but I bet any upgrades are for shorter stays and/or to benefit the resort for some reason. You guys are funny with the upgrades. I think people have just been super lucky lately and probably due to buildings being closed for the rehab.... it sure does seem prevalent lately.

I will still cross my fingers for you grannyminnie and tenbelow. You never know, right?!

Cake does sound good, Bama. I am going to ask the kids when they get home.

DD7's Mulan dress came today!! It's pretty cute. It's getting closer! Going to start packing tomorrow I think.

When I check the GF site to see availability for our dates, I don't see any concierge available, so I'm not expecting an upgrade to RPC. Maybe I'll enjoy SL so much that I won't mind. Hearing you guys talk about it has made me wish to try it once, tho.

Re your ressie online... try a differnet phone number... it might be your cell and not yuor home or vice versa... I have found that sometimes they attach the caller Id phone nubmer to ressie and it si not always the one you want attached. Maybe this will help?

I'm SO excited to read up on the GF. WE're going in April for our wedding at the WP and our honeymoon and finally after more than 2 dozen WDW trips I'm finally going to get to stay at the GF!!

Ok, now that I'm composed, just thought I would answer 2 questions posted earlier.

Ivy Trellis - they only do hair at Ivy Trellis, not spa services. For nails and such, go to the GF spa. The Ivy Trellis is really small, so there's just no room.

That cake!! The mad hatter cake is actually a very popular cake for Disney brides. The one on this thread is the top tier that they would use on a normally 3 tier mad hatter cake. They'll do it in any color combination you want, and you can ask for stripes, polka dots, diamond shapes, you name it.

I have one question too - the cabanas at the feature pool - what's the charge for those (I assume since there is food there would be a charge) and how far in advance are you able to book those?
