I read the first two... and I realized this is just a huge, huge out-of proportion overly blown fad.

I found.. the books were okay at the beginning. Nothing too special, but after a while, everyone was reading them, and saying the same things..
I dunno, sometimes after things become really popular you realize that they weren't as good.
It's not due to not liking things that are popular... it's not liking things that aren't good that are popular.

Because I love Harry Potter, and it's ridiculously popular, but it's good, so I still manage to enjoy it.

Harry Potter has a lot more in-the-closet fans.. a lot of us are not so vocal xD
It's often the people you least expect it to be!

As for Twilight, everyone, from the 8 yr old neighbor to my hair stylist are obsessed, I come to expect it.

I'm bitter I don't like it because its just one more thing to add to my list of reasons I don't belong.

I would appreciate them more (at all) if the hype wasn't so big! It's INSANE, because to me the books weren't "OMG EDWARDCULLEN UR SO FYNE" they had a deeper meaning, and I can't even bring it up without out everyone going crazy over Edward.

My friends have only seen the movie, so all I get from them when I bring it up is "OMG!! EDWARD CULLEN IS GORGEOUS!" & "I AM SOOO GONNA MARRY HIM!"

I will applaud them for getting people to like reading. I have many friends who despised reading, books were stupid, technology rocked, etc.

After these books, they began to understand why reading is nice.
Now, I didn't xD I knew after HP, and the many other fabulous books I've read.

Most of them have graduated to other vampire stories, but not the old ones or anything.

Lavender and Freesia. Basically what Bella's supposed to smell like.
And they copied the bottle design Nina Ricci has for her perfume. Like EXACTLY the same pretty much.
