Triplefigs,

We stayed there this past week, and I took a bazillion pictures. You can see what is stocked (we stayed Standard) in the refrigerator here: http://mickeymac.smugmug.com/gallery/674421/10/29166827 You would be best off ordering and having delivered. Each soda was about $3. I don't remember the exact price.

The snack offerings are two pictures before that one.

TripleFIGS - Maybe I am missing something here - but why don't you just take a few little cartons of milk and some cans of soda from the lounge to put into your room fridge???

They are very generous & have always offered to get us drinks to take back to our room - including bottled water. They didn't have rootbeer when my son asked if they did, so the next day one of the lounge CMs brought him his own 6 pack of Barqs and gave it directly to him.

I bet the private dining soda is $2.50/can or so and the milk ???

I am not getting why someone would pay private dining for things that are offered freely in the lounge?? That is part of your extra concierge room cost - the lounge offerings. We have had them offer - almost push -"Please take this - enjoy it later..." in GF, CR, Swan......(Poly was another story ;) )

????

Just wanted to let you know our experience & save you some $$$.
Lives4Disney :earsgirl:

1st - LOVE your pics!!
2nd - I emailed to have milk in fridge for my kids & they replied exactly how much so they could arrange w/ priv dining, I hope they will let us take some back to our room once we're there! My kids are still on sippy cups...really, not looking for a case of soda, just a cup of milk/juice a few times a day! But that was their reply...

MickeyMac- GREAT pics! About # 67 (the pic of the portrait they offer....can this be done w/ a photo, or do they do live sitting?) :flower:

Are the fridges in RPC pay as you use mini bars too?

Can we request that they be emptied of their ususal stock so that we can put our stuff in?

Any chance of getting Pepsi products instead of coke?

Thanks

Thanks, Lives4Disney. Let me know what they have available when you go in a few weeks, please. Would you specifically ask about white and chocolate milk, diet coke, regular coke, and juice (bottle or boxes)? Then, if they can't get something, I'll know which ones I need to order from wegoshop. I'm all for saving money!

Yes, is there an empty refrigerator in the CL rooms at GF? Or just the mini bar? DS gets shots every day, and the medicine has to be refrigerated also.

Thanks!

TRIPLEFIGS - THey have Coke products, juice boxes, they have white & choc milk (unless that has changed in the past 6 months). I will let you know.

The rooms we had in RPC and SL both had stocked pay as you use fridges. They did not have empty fridges. They are stocked with Coke products, so if you drink a can, just replace it from the lounge. They also had juice boxes in them, I believe. If you need extra space for meds, just take some things out to make room.

Garada3 I have never seen Pepsi products at WDW. Coke is the supplier.

The lounge staff is just wonderful and it has been our experience that they go out of their way to find you what you need. I forgot to mention, but they also found me my caffeine free diet coke.

Happy planning!!

Lives4Disney :earsgirl:

I thought they had taken all the mini-bars out and left just empty fridges? We've had an empty one the last few times there. We just stocked it with bottled waters.

Tammi - When we were there in Nov and Feb the fridges were still full. I didn't realize emptying them was in their plans. Maybe they have done it since our last stay. We will find out in about 3 weeks.

We were not staying CL at the GF last week but when we checked in only the stocked mini bar frig was in the room. I asked the gentleman who brought our luggage to the room about another frig for our drinks and one was delivered within the hour. They placed it under the vanity in the bathroom, just below the hair dryer. You might want to make sure that you don't overload the circuit by plugging a hair dryer in the same socket.

Angel, did you request a turret honeymoon suite or one on the 2nd floor? All the 2nd floor rooms have a guaranteed MK view. Of the 6 turret honeymoon suite, 3 of them will have a little bit of an MK view. Room assignors do take care of requests and assignments about 3 or 4 days before you arrive. I agree that the IPO staff here is not super personal, more cool but still professional. I hope they take good care of you.

Tammi First, thank you so much for your kind wishes for our trip. I did request a turret honeymoon suite. We will just have to see what happens :earsgirl: As long as we have a King bed and are in the RPC we will be very happy. As so many of you have written that the lounge staff are so very wonderful, I am sure we will have a great time. I did e-mail GF IPO to ask the price for bottled water and Ginger Ale. If it is too much I will either make a stop on the way or get a delivery from Wego. :flower: I will post just as soon as I hear back regarding the cost. ::yes::

I remember reading in one of Janet2K's posts while she was at GF that she just removed the stocked items from the frig. placing them in a drawer. Then they left a note to housekeeping so they didn't charge for the items. Perhaps that is an idea if they are still stocking the (honor bar/ frigs)

MickeyMac Your photos are wonderful. In fact your whole album is great. I really enjoyed looking through it. Thank you for sharing. You have helped make me even more excited than I was. Your a good photographer!

I think that they prefer that you don't take the things our of the honor bar frig. They are afraid that something you remove might spoil and will gladly bring another frig. We started our stay at the Hard Rock Hotel and they actually posted a note to that effect. I think it said that they would charge you for anything you removed.

Wow, thanks guys, I wasn't sure about sharing them, but now I'm glad I did.

MickeyMac- GREAT pics! About # 67 (the pic of the portrait they offer....can this be done w/ a photo, or do they do live sitting?)

Yes, it can be done with a photo, and I believe it is a $15 additional charge per person. I saw a mom and daughter having theirs done one night. It was simply wonderful, and made me want one wicked bad. :rolleyes2

I forget - can you see the prices clearly in that shot?

Also, we called to have our refrigerator emptied and they said that they would deliver one to our room, empty, however, we changed rooms and I never followed up on it. I did empty out the sodas and waters, and we used the space claimed from that. The sodas and waters I just placed in the bottom drawer of the bureau as we didn't need it.

MickeyMac, thanks so much for sharing your pictures - so thorough - fabulous work! Thanks for trusting us enough to view them! :goodvibes

WOW....Got an e-mail back from GF IPO already. This is what they wrote.

"The cost for the water is $3.29 per bottle and the Ginger Ale is $2.99 per bottle. If you have any other questions please feel free to call or email us.

Thank you

Yep! I'll probably put in an order with Wegoshop.com for drinks (after Lives4Disney reports back from her Aug trip). I can get a 12 pack of soda for $5 or less, 12 pack of juice boxes for $3- $4, and a case of water much cheaper! Thanks for posting what you found out.

So, you can't request to have it emptied? I thought I read that some have been successful with this request. ?
We will not use anything in that at all. But, will need one for milk in a sippy cup.
I will have to find this Wego you are all talking about.
