Hello!

I have tried all these brands except for the Chacos in search of the perfect sport sandal. At present, I personally prefer Merrells, and for WDW specifically the Outback sandal. I do however have a pair of Bite sandals on the way, and they seem to get a really good name, so we will see.

My Dh loves the Merrell brand, I will have to check that sandal out! Thanks! ** I just checked out this sandal at Sierratradingpost.com...they retail for $75 ? Anyway are on sale for $47.95 Does that sound about right? Thanks!

I am a croc newbie...are they really that comfortable? They look like they would be sweaty. Do they have any arch support?:confused3

Yes, I saw them the other day on Sierra Trading Post. That is a pretty good deal!

Like the tag fairy caught me saying...
I love my Keens!!! They are officially the only kind of shoes I own!:hippie:

I take a pair of Teva Kena's and my cheap Pali Hawaii sandals - both are some of the most comfortable flip flops around! :thumbsup2

Bonny

For anyone here...I mentioned the site sierratradingpost.com before...today they have Keen sandals on sale,...up to 56% off!!!

Does anyone own a pair of ECCO X-Treme Jane Slingbacks? I think they are cute but wonder how they would feel walking around the parks all day?

The shoes you bought are so cute! I really like those. Do you have them yet? Which color did you buy? Let me know if they are comfortable. I may get those too! I bought mine from shoes.com because they have a free shipping/free return and I found a 20% off coupon on the internet. I got mine for $71.99 and I did not have to pay tax. This is the cheapest I could find my size and the color I wanted. I got mine on Valentine's Day but they were too big :sad1: I had to return and exchange for a smaller size.

I didn't see your shoes at "my" shoe site...lol..they look awesome! I got the white/silver/metallic...they would go with more outfits than the other colors! Sierra ships quick, I will have them by next week. I will let you know! YOu still have plenty of time to find that "perfect" shoe. I just want something comfortable, cute and stylish. Why is that sometimes so difficult?!
I am concerned about the European size thing too, I hope mine fit! Well, anytime you can get a good quality shoe that usually retails for abt $100...at a discount, any discount, that is great! I still had to pay 8.50 for shipping, but its UPS 3-5 day.

I just saw you have 3 little boys , how cute! They grow up so fast, my one son is 13 now...and dropping him off at school last night for the Valentines Dance ...got a bit melancholy:(......

Well, thanks for sharing your shoe find...I really like those too!! I'll let you know how mine are!

The sizing had me confused too with it being European. I usually wear a size 8.5 in any shoe except for gym shoes. I wear a 9 in those and sometimes a 9.5. I first ordered the European size that was US size 9-9.5. They were huge! I sent them back and ordered the 8-8.5 US (I believe that's a 39 European). I went to the mall and actually found the shoe I ordered, tried it on in the size I am exchanging for and it fits great. The shoes seemed a little stiff but I guess they just need broken in. I also wanted something comfy, stylish and cute. More than a sandal/flip flop so I could have some support but wanted to wear something cooler than a gym shoe and sock and these seem perfect.

Well, I am always a size 10...so I ordered what they told me! We will see...cross your fingers for me please, just in case , I'd hate to have to return them etc when I only have 2 weeks left!

For walking and extreme support I would go Birkenstock all the way. I love my birks. They are my favorite shoe of all time and I wear them all year...ended the constant back pain I was having after long hours on my feet. They are AWESOME...that being said...

Mixing rain and birks...not so good. They are expensive shoes and soaking the footbed is not good for them and will ruin them. Since it rains like mad at DW, at least it did when I was there in August, having a back up pair is a good idea.

My back up rain shoes were my Teva Mush flip flops. LOVE THEM!!! Again though with the rain...after about an hour of puddles and downpour your Teva mush begin to make a squelchy, "I've got too much water in me" noise! (this was on extremely raining hurricane Ernesto days though)

I can't believe I'm saying this, but due to the rain issues at WDW, my $2.50 Old Navy flip flops were the best. What I ended up doing most of the time was wearing my birks to the parks to start but carryng a pair of old navy flip flops in my bag. It worked out very well!!!

did that help at all?! Good luck!!!:thumbsup2

My sister in law swears by her Birks, she loves them! My feet are wide and a 2 digit size.....so...unfortunately i think they dont look as attractive on my sheet as they do others ;(!

Ok...my Keens arrived today via TravelCountry. LOVE THEM!!! I've been wearing them around all day to break them in. I will also be bringing my crocs (athens) and my Walgreens flips. I usually wear the flips to TL or BB just in case someone takes them by mistake from our chair, but recently I've been wearing water shoes and haven't had any problems. I also like that the water shoes are good for not scratching up my toes in the lazy river.

DD, DS, and I wear Lands' End Sport Sandals. DH wears tennis shoes...too hot for me!

I had to try on 2 different styles because my pinky toe was hitting one of the straps in a way that I knew would eventually bother me. Hooked up with their "Venice" model and LOVE them! The arch support is great and you can't beat the protection that they give your toes. We were in WDW in November and logged anywhere between 6-8.5 miles/day. I was happy to have the extra room that the sandals provide in the toe area.

In addition, I also used "body glide" on my feet. Great sandals or not, my feet still would sweat a little and in the absence of a good sock, I didn't want any friction coming between me and my Keens! This combo worked great and I had no issues at all for the week.

I thought I could only wear my Birkenstock sandals,b/c of my high arches, my feet hurt with anything else, no sneaker did the job. Then I wore crocs for my last 2 week trip, with the exception of one day(mistake) and the crocs won hands down! Everyone in our family is now addicted and won't wear any other shoe at Disney,or for long walking things.
So I guess I'd suggest good Birkenstocks,if the crocs didn't do it for you...

I like my Teva Pretty Rugged Leather sandals. but LOVE :cloud9: my Teva Mush flip flops. They're the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. No matter what shoes I carry to WDW I usually wind up in my Teva Mush flip flops.
