My vote would definitely go to Birkenstock!! That's all I wear to WDW and never have had a problem. Great arch support. Got a really cute pair of black patent sandals to add to my collection last year :cool1: Love them!

I used to swear by Tevas, but since I bought a pair of Keens I haven't looked back. I like the toe protection of the Keens - makes it feel a bit more rugged while still also feeling like a sandal if you know what I mean.
I'd recommend you try a few different types of sandal on, and go for what you find comfortable. What's good for my feet aint necessarily good for yours :thumbsup2
Get something with arch support though, particularly given the number of miles you'll walk at WDW

I got an email from REI with close-out sale prices last week. They had some Tevas and some Keens for very reasonable prices (limited sizes though). I also saw Keen Newports on sale at Dicks Sporting goods last week (didn't have my size).

I voted Other because I love my Rykas. I was able to trek thru the parks last August without any issues, and with my high instep, this rarely happens. I usually avoid sandals for parks but no more!

2nd this! My Rykas are like walking on clouds. I dislike wearing sandals as well because there's too much opportunity for someone to to drop something/step on your toes.

I like my Birkenstocks better than my Tevas for walking at WDW. But last summer EVERYTHING gave me blisters. I wore flip flops on the plane home because they were the only shoes that weren't rubbing some raw spot on my foot! The Tevas made a blister on my pinky toe.

DH has Ecco sandals that he loves.:)

I voted for "other" because my Ecco's are the most comfortable I've worn.

My DD loves her Merrells, though.

I voted for Tevas -love them! It really is personal preference & I've never even tried some of the others that you listed. This will be my 4th trip wearing Tevas in April. The soles on these are great - good support. With some sandals you feel every pebble, twig etc. I don't have that problem with Tevas. Also, as previous posters stated, they're fast drying.

Which Tevas do y'all recommend? I love my crocs too, but I've been wanting a good pair of sandals. I'm looking on Shoebuy and there are 25 models of Tevas for women!

I agree that Teva is a very good sandal, however once you try a Keen you will realize that they are worth the extra money. I just got a pair of Newport H2's at Dick's and I love them. I can not wait to wear them in WDW in April.

My DH also likes to bring crocs for the pool and lounging around the hotel.

Count me in with the Ecco fans.

i have a pair of their sport sandels and they are great for my feet.
I have tried on Keen, didn't really work for me. I have used Tevas in the past with no problem but for my wide ball of the foot the Ecco's work well.

The Shoe Dept has the Teva hurricane right now in my area for 19.99, just got a pair last night...have the waterproof leather ones already, and I love them. I packed those and my new balance sneaks last time at WDW, only wore the tevas.

Keen!!!

I switched between my Keen Newports and a pair of Reebok sneakers.

I LOVE the toe protection, and sturdiness of the Keens. In fact, we bit the bullet, and get DS a pair every summer as well. He's allowed to wear them to day camp because of the toe guard, and one piece heel strap, and they're much easier than shoes and socks every day, since they swim 2x a day.

I will be taking Birkenstock sandals, a pair of birkenstock clogs and a pair of crocs with me. If you have birkenstock, make sure they are broken in beforehand.

My feet always KILL me when we go to WDW I have tried every shoe in the world . this December I tried two Keds and New Balance and they also killed my feet . Out of desperation I put my $5 payless flip flops on and my feet felt wonderful, didnt hurt at all. I was amazed!! Lucky for me it was 80 degrees right before Christmas!!!

Just wanted to let all the Keen fans know that the Keen Venice H2 is on sale at TravelCountry.com for women. Just click on the scroll arrow to pick a size and color and you will see the amazing sales!!!!

KEENS (Newport H2s)!! I also take my Croc Athens, Teva Mush, and Nikes, but the Keens are my FAVORITE, the Tevas's would be next.;)
