I am now completly lost.. I have booked a Fl Resident rate $105 (incl tax) a night for CSR for a 4 night stay Jan 28th - Feb 1st. & just saw there's a new deal buy 4 nights get 3 free.(I am on hold for a CM).............Ok I just got off the phone with a very nice CM who explained how the deal worked. I would need to buy a 7 night package (tickets & room) & pay for it ALL within 45 days of arrival. Unfourtanitly that will not happen right now, so he also told me if I book 5 nights I would get 1 night free/1 day ticket free or if I book 6 nights I would get 2 nights room/ticket free....so long story short I kept my FL resident rate & will just buy the FL resident tickets @ 3 days for the price of 2days. But I wondering who else was just as confused with this offer?:confused3

Not so much confused as disappointed that its not an offer that we can use. We have Fl seasonal passes, which are an awesome deal in themselves, but will have to wait for either a room only or free dining type offer to come out to see if we are going to renew our passes. Surely something will come out for passholders and FL residents in the future.

The days of great deals for AP holders, as well as Fl residents, seem to have gone the way of the Edsel. Disney just doesn't seem to feel the need to give us any great rates anymore. That's one reason I tend to discourage folks from getting the AP for those 'great' room discounts.
I did get to use a deal similar to the one out now..back in '03. It was a good deal for us at the time, but I didn't have an AP in hand all the time then. So, this deal isn't going to make me change any of my plans.

I'm sure Disney has done a study and determined that the average length of stay for a FL resident is much shorter than those who travel further. Therefore, the 4/3 deal is not targeted at FL residents as much as it is those who come from overseas and elsewhere in the US. Sure FL residents are an important demographic, but we have our own set of deals because our travel habits are different. We usually arent dealing with costs of airfare, rental car etc that make such vacations cost prohibitive to some. I know there are many FL residents who will visit WDW for a week, myself included, but my guess is we werent the primary target of this promotion....

Im sure you are right, they were trying to get people who have to plan ahead. If they don't come out for anything good for us thats ok, there is always the cruise lines! :thumbsup2
