Thanks for the info! We are definitly going to switch resorts! Can't wait for May to get here!! I hope you have a great trip and look forward to hearing all about it when you get back!
Thanks!!!

Hello, fellow Illinois resident. I bet you can't wait to get away from this crummy weather! We are so delighted that you are going to try CSR. We will be staying for the 7th time in September.

Do let us know how you enjoyed it when you return.

I agree!! I don't mind a little snow, but I can't stand this frigid cold!! I see you're in Carol Stream, I'm in the Joliet/Plainfield area.

I am so excited about this resort!! My kids really wanted to stay at a Deluxe, but after reading all the posts, I would rather save some $$ and have more fun!! We are only ever in our rooms for sleeping anyway! I will definitly let you know about our visit. Stay warm!!!

A little snow I can handle too. But we've had too much of it...and I too hate the cold. We know the Plainfield area--my son has friends there who he wrestles witih at college!

In any event, your kids will love the pool, and the idea of saving money and doing more fun things is the way to go. We had a choice of the Polynesian or the CSR for our 25th, and went back to the CSR...we just love it.

Just to give a little update, my travel agent at Small World Vacations called Disney again and was told the same thing - the Dig Site is not closed and it is not scheduled to be closed. She said that it's common to get a different answer several times when you call Disney, but so far she's heard two definite "no" answers on the Dig Site closing. She said she'd let me know if she hears anything else so I'll keep everyone posted here, too.

Thanks for posting this! We're leaving for CSR for a few weeks and really hope that the Dig Site is open.

Hello all! We are going to CSR for 12 nights in June!!! So excited, I can hardly wait.. DH is a big work-out buff. How is the gym's selection and does it cost resort guests anything to use the facilities?
It's a very good selection. Buzz has some fitness center pics on his website.

want to thank everyone on here. Just switched from pop to csr after reading all the good things about csr, used our 40 percent off pin code and upgraded and saved money as well! Will be there from feb 29th - mar 3rd. Anyone know how the crowds or hotel occupancy will be?

I too just switched my ressie from WL to CSR after reading all these great posts! I have a few more questions though and I'm sure the answers are in here somewhere, but I could only get to page 82 and then I forgot everything I had already read:lmao: So, please forgive me if they have been answered before!

  • Is coffee replenished in the room every day by Mousekeeping? I know we could get the mugs and go get it ourselves every morning, but DH and I really don't do well in the mornings without our coffee ;)
  • How much should we tip Mousekeeping?
  • How old/tall do the kids have to be to go down the water slide?
  • How long (on average) are the bus rides to each park?

I'm sure I'll come up with more ?, but I think that's it for now! Thanks for all the help!

Good choice!! The coffee is replenished daily or you can ask for extra. We usually tip a dollar per person per day. I don't think there is a hieght restriction on the slide, it's more of a bravery thing when your standing at the top. 10 mins to MK and 5 mins to the rest of the parks. 15-20 mins to DtD.

Answers to your questions.
coffee is replanished everyday.
1 dollor per person in the room
My daughter was 45 inches when she went down the slide. I think they can be 40 in to go down.(don't quote me on it)
If i remember correctly the longest was to dtd and it was about 15-20 min.
try this website ourlaughingplace travel
hope this helps
have a great time, you will love it there, i know i did

Now I read somewhere on the boards that CSR doesn't serve Nescafe. I would like to know if that is true, and they do sell real coffee? Every year we go down, my husband and I are very cranky in the mornings because we go through our yearly coffee withdrawls. Thats just because the Nescafe is just so nasty.

CSR sells cafe latte, expresso, cappuccino and coffee so I would guess they have a variety.

Thanks so much. Now another question. Are you allowed to use the refillable mugs for the latte etc? Or maybe a snack credit? Or do you just pay out of pocket for that?

I would like to know this too! If you can't use the mugs for the lattes, is the coffee that yo do get at Rix or PM better than what is in the rooms?

Coffee, tea, iced tea and soda are the only things you can fill your refillable mug with.

I think I am sold that this is the place for me. We stopped by there my last trip and it had just opened.
I am booking my trip this weekend. This is going to be a solo trip and I not a big city girl anymore. Do they mind if I ask to stay in Casista's. Do I need to isolate a specific building? I don't want to be walking too far late at night (and if the internal shuttle isn't by me I will walk ) and I like the idea of being near the health club. Any reccomendations?

Is it true that we can by our Magic Your Way tickets at the resort concierge? Any restrictions on the hours they are available to purchase?

Tickets are available at the concierge desk. I'm not 100% on the hours. I would guess someone is there all the time.

Thanks for the information Buzz. I really love the CSR website that you work so hard on. Another quick question for you. I remember reading somewhere in this thread that you can get a microwave for your room. If this is true is there a charge for this? And does CSR charge for the standard cribs (playpens) for babies?
