My DH and I are going for our 25th anniversary in September and I didn't know that the King rooms were also handicap accessible rooms either until reading thru this thread. I actually just requested a standard room (2 double beds) but when the CM found out it was our anniversary she said should get the King room (I was only trying to save a few $)so I figured what the heck after all it IS our 25th anniversary, but now I am worried that the room will lose a little of it's feel if it is a handicap room and I will feel bad taking the room. I also requested smoking (DH is a smoker) so that will put us in Cabana's 9a from what I understand.
Do you think we will get a "regular" king bed room being it's a smoking room?
:confused3

They are not all handicapped accessible, I just like to prepare guests just in case the get one that is. Yes, cabana 9a is the only smoking optional building.

Ooo, ooo - I lurk here so I don't miss anything critical to my May CSR trip, but I can actually answer this one!

The resorts supply the closed, pre-filled filters, but the basket is the regular, 4 cup kind. Meaning, feel free to bring your own 4 cup filters and decent coffee! Actually, I HIGHLY recommend doing just that if you value the flavor of your coffee at all. ;)

Thank you so much! That's exactly what I wanted to know :goodvibes I'll be bringing my own filters and Timmy's coffee then!

And I know what you mean, I'm pouncing on every CSR related thread/mention I see too :thumbsup2

I need help. I have stressed and organized and analyzed every part of my August vacation. I had finally made the decision to stay at CSR w/Ding for 11 nights ( then we move to BC with 40% off) I was really very happy about that. Now recently there have been posts about how thin the walls are. I am a very, very grumpy person without my sleep. Please tell me it will be OK. Unfortunately beautiful pics do not tell you if the CMs are miserable and the
walls are paper thin.

I've never experienced any noise issues at CSR. Having a bad neighbor can happen at any resort. I wouldn't worry about one bad review. Just read all the glowing ones above. There are far more of those on how relaxing CSR is than there are for noise issues. Relax and enjoy your trip!

In my 9 trips to CSR, I've never experience any noise issues with my neighbors.
Not only are the pictures beautiful but all the CM's have always been great to.

I am so excited about my trip to WDW in October. I am staying at CSR & check this thread everyday to see if there are any new pictures or information. Thank you for providing such a great place to learn more about this resort. Honestly, I chose to stay at this resort just because of the reviews & pictures on DIS.

I'm feeling better now. I read those nice reviews!! I was wondering if kids can order whatever they want at Pepper Market or if there is a kid' section or menu?:thumbsup2

We have never had a problem with noise from our neighbors at CSR -- in fact one night my DD woke up screaming from a nightmare (The Witch in Snow Whites ride was trying to get her stuffed Minnie). We calmed her down and when I saw our neighbors the next day I apologized if she had woke them up. They hadn't even heard her.

All of you are making me very jealous right now. We are going to WDW the end of this month and CSR is not available. We have to stay at POR, which isalmost at the bottom of my list (last is any of the All Stars, then CBR then POR). I hope all of you have fun and think of me stuck over at POR.

Both, there is a kid station or they can order from any station they like. Portions are generally large.

As for the noise or posts like that you have to take with a grain of salt.

My DH and I are about to take the last of our grandkids to WDW. We've stayed at CSR before, although not in our current location. Honestly, we never considered another resort. No matter if you're staying at a budget hotel or a Hyatt, there will always be someone who didn't like their stay for one reason or another. That's not to say the resort did anything wrong or that the poster's concerns aren't valid. It's just that no place can be all things to all people all of the time. Not even Disney.

We just returned ...stayed at CSR 3 nights and then switched to CBR for 2 nights (mind you, this was after staying at POR for 2 nights and POP for one!). We had never been to CSR or CBR before. We were Me (35),DD12, DD8, and DS3.

My children used to love POR and, indeed, our first two nights at POR did feel like coming home. We did the water mice, the boat to downtown, Boatwrights, and the bike rental. It was nice. :flower: Then we switched.....to CSR pixiedust: ! We are now complete CSR converts!:cool1:

We completely enjoyed the resort. It felt so relaxed!:beach: We loved the hammocks on the beach and the Pool!! Oh my. It was terrific and LARGE! The pool area has a food area and the food was ok (we got fruit salad and nachos, enjoyed it). There's an arcade at the pool that offers a ping pong table. That was fun! I played with my girls and even let them go by themselves (don't flame me!) a few times to play ping pong.

We also played in the arcade in the main building (air hockey, MOM won! :hyper: ).

We also took advantage of the hair salon and got a trim for each of us, baby included! :goodvibes I highly recommend Tara, she was fantastic.

The food.... :worship: Oh, the food! We never went to the food court because my girls would just grab something quick in a.m. from the convenience store right next to food court. However, we did try the restaurant and it was fantastic. The atmosphere alone was amazingly perfect. The food was PERFECT.

My point....if you enjoy luxury at an affordable price and an immersive, relaxing experience, CSR is for you and YOUR FAMILY. Not just business conventioneers. ENJOY!:wave2:

Thanks for sharing! Great review!! I agree 100%!!!

With all the talk about codes and secret pins and discounts, I had to call "just to check". Well, no pin, no discount, but we got a AAA Standard room at CSR for $130/nt (including taxes) over christmas AND new years!:cool1: We'll probably drop the later days but I'd rather grab them now, than want them later and not be able to get them.

Dance with me....:dancer: party: :dancer: :ccat:

That's the one time of year I have yet to visit. DW can't take time off from work during that time of year though.
