Question about the roll a way bed...
I don't know where I heard this but I thought the moderates stopped providing rollaways (??). How much are they per night and how comfortable are they?
My DD liked sleeping in the roll-a-way. I didn't try it myself so I only have her to go by. It came to $16.41 or $16.71 per night.

Question for Mario:

Love your website. It's very informative!!!

My husband and I are going to the CSR for the first time this September (4th trip to Disney on property). We were planning to go back to POFQ, until I saw all the amenities that CSR has to offer.

I know that the number of rooms with a King bed are limited. I booked a King room for my trip 9/15-9/21... Is it possible that they will not have availability? I book through Disney and paid rack rate to get the free DDP, and paid extra for a King.

Do you know how this is handled if there are no "King" rooms at the inn?

TIA! :goodvibes

Ann-Marie
I tried to get a better handle on the king rooms while I was at CSR this past week. What I was told is that there are only 125 and a majority are handicap equipped. The CM told me there was different levels of handicap equipped rooms, some for the vision impaired, some with lower king beds and some that were fullly equipped with shower stalls and such. That is the part they won't guarantee. You may get your king room but it could end up being one of the handicap equipped ones.

I think the question for me related to the King Bed situation is this... Is the ~$18 premium per night to guarantee a King Room, but not a Non Handicapped Accessible Room worth the money. I think I would rather have 2 beds and a regular room then one set up handicapped. If I am spending money on the King Bed, I would want to get what I expect, otherwise I would rather keep the money and take the two beds...

Anyone else have an opinion?

Thanks,
I checked Mears and it looks like a charter/taxi service. There doesn't seem to be any thing specific to Kennedy Space Center.

I'll keep looking

How well does the Pepper Market do with the dining plan? I stayed at the resort two years ago, but not with dining plan. I remember you bring your card to all the different stations, but do they tell you what you can get and if you can mix it up at different stations. Also, any opinions on the Maya Grill? Is it worth a TS credit on the dining plan?
Thanks

I saw many guests paying with the dining plan at the PM. The only restrictions are on dessert. You can get a ribeye steak for your CS credit. The only complaint I've read from guests is the dessert restriction, other than that, the PM is the best to get yor moneies worth from the dining plan. I've only had the breakfast buffet at the Maya Grill, it is really a good breakfast and the bacon was perfectly cooked.

My family loves the Maya Grill and wouldn't hesitate to use it for the Dinig plan. If you're not sure, they post a menu just outside the restaurant to help you make up your mind.

I have a trip booked sep 25-30 of 2006 this is our fourth trip. I am bringing more food to snack on this time and for breakfast. You can buy bagesl and cereal but it is so much cheaper to bring your own. From our local restaurant store you can buy the cereal bowls pictured above for .35 each they are 1.50 on property. I plan to bring that and granola bars, fruit snacks and muffin packets. I have found it easy to buy milk at the property stores, so much so if all of the rooms have a fridge in them. The beer at the gift shops and such runs about 2.00 a can and at the bars and restaurants it is about 4.00 per cup. I usually buy at least one refill mug for the kids to share per trip.

The internal shuttle is now called the courtesy coach. CSR has a new extra long golf cart thet is lime green. The courtesy coach only goes in one direction and will make flag stops along te route if there is room on the cart. It is being utilized by many guests. The stops are gone.

Just returned last night from a 7 night stay. They had shuttles running both ways for most of the time we were there. I assume that is because it was a very busy week. Drivers would constantly slow down and ask you if you needed a ride if they saw you walking. Being out in the boondocks (Ranchitos 6B) we really appreciated them.

I agree. I may reassess my decision to get a King room.

Does any know approximately what is costs to do the bass fishing?

DH would be in his GLORY if I put this in my budget for him to do.

Pricing is in the marina sign above.

It includes:
an experienced guide
rod & reel
tackle
artificial bait
live bait
non-alcoholic beverages
2 hours of fishing for up to five people (2 guest max at CSR)
digital photo of your outing
One Year BASS membership

I've read a few trip reviews about people checking in and having to carry their luggage to what they considered to be very remote rooms.

Are bellmen not available?

We are going to be using ME, and using the luggage tags provided. Will we need to cart our bags to our room ourselves?

DH doesn't mind doing this in a standard hotel when the room is close to reception. However, if we have a room in a remote location, he might not be pleased if he has to cart our luggage around.

I know this is probably not a big deal, but I want the vacation to start off on a high note. DH get's grumpy easily... :rolleyes2 If it was just me, I wouldn't care... I would just be happy I'm in WDW!

Any input would be appreciated!

As soon as you drive up, bell services is there to assist you. I've arrived between the hours of 7am through midnight and have always found bell services there. Some guests do care to tip so many CM's so they choose not to use their services.

not if you do not want to, that will be your choice.

Look for Ray Ray, he is one of the great CM's at CSR!!

Thanks again Mario! That's great to hear.

I had a read a trip report by a woman that totally ripped CSR for not offering this service.

I LOVE reading trip reports, but wonder what motivates a person to write such a biased report without being factual.

I really like your posts because you back up your love of CSR with real information. Keep the updates on CSR coming!!! :thumbsup2
