Rosie, this is SOOOOOOOO true. My son turned 3 in October...and holy moley...it's been quite a trying 3 months so far.

Sorry about the TV Derek. I would have been rather upset about it as well.

Also...a little late in posting...but my "goals" for this year are:

1) Exercise more (I'd straight up say lose weight...but every year for the past 3 years that I've made that my goal, I end up with a foot injury or back pain or any other number of lefit ailments that keep me from losing weight/exercising).

2) Be more patient with my son.

3) Start planning out 2012 trip...more.

4) Spend more time with DH...he has been on 12 hour shifts since July (he works 3 days with 4 days off one week, and the next week is work 4 days with 3 days off), his commute is 45 minutes one way...so by the time he gets home from work most nights, we get maybe an hour to spend together.

5) Get out more with my son and the 15 month old I babysit (in the year that I've kept the baby, I've refused to go out with the two of them by myself based on it being too much work...but if DH and decide to have another kiddo in the future, I'm going to have to suck it up and take them both whether I like it or not).

My husband and his buddy have been going out there for years. In their opinion the show isn't as good as it used to be. Or at least they have gone for so long that it doesn't take them long to cover the whole thing. Not to say that they aren't gone for a long time....they flew out wednesday morning and aren't coming home until next Sunday. They are road tripping through Arizona. Today the London bridge and Yuma are on the agenda.

Sounds like a fun trip. Never got a chance to se the London bridge....and your husband is right, CES isn't as good as it used to be. I used to love to go to the high-end audio and listen to Hi-Fi sets worth thousands of dollars. I recall listening to speakers shaped like ceramic pots. Weird but interesting.

Thanks Brooke for joining the fun but don't let our experience with Ashlyn detour you from having#2. As much as I was mad at her, I have to love her for being like me In time, I have to remember that a TV is replaceable but a child is not.

Well, the WDW travel bug has bitten Wendy during her discussion with her friend Lena about going back.....so now in addition to saving funds for New Jersey (July 2011), Alaska (August 2011) and Hawaii (November 2011), we have to save for a trip to WDW in 2012!

And, as if fate was tempting us, today we received our 2011-2012 DVC Vacation Planner Reservation Tools. Maybe we are supposed to go to 2012 Peepfest after all!

I'll see if Wendy can talk to Jordan to see if Peepfest is still on or if he still has his grandiose plans. Originally, he was planning two trips: one in late Feb (I don't recall the exact dates but both of our birthdays are on Feb 24th) and one in late June (to accommodate our kids' school schedules). For our family, we'll just attend the summer trip, if at all.

Just a quick post to say I'll be out for the next 36 hours in the local mountains (Big Bear) on a Winter YMCA Indian Guides (Y-Guides) campout with Dylan. Lots of snow sledding, inter tubing, snow ball fights, and cold weather ahead.

Here's a video clip from the YMCA about the camp (but honestly, they cheated because they interspersed shots from another camp site, Camp Elk, with the long walking bridge and nice large pool. Camp Elk is for the older Y-Guides).

The Indian Guides camping trip sounds like a ton of fun!!! Can't wait to read about it when you get back.

We recieved the DVC vacation planner 2 days ago and I can't even let myself look at it because I already know there is 99.9% no way we can book another vacation between now and our June cruise. I am really wishing upon a star that we can but I just don't see it. Schedules are NOT working together this year. Bummer!

As far as peepfest 2012, if it's still on, we are planning on making it for the June portion if that is still how the plans stand. There is still plenty of time to plan for that one, though.

Exactly!!! We are generally perfectly happy with just one, and have had the "Should we have another?" discussion several times and it always ends up as "Nope, we love just having one!" but there are days I think about a second....!

You guys have some great vacations coming up! Currently we just have 2 weeks in WDW next month/March, Minnesota in July, Minnesota in December. I'd like to squeeze in another WDW in December for NYE, but we'll see. If/when I get a job that list will expand to include more east coast/local things, there are so many places I want to go!

Ooo, I missed your post with the Vacation Planner. I'm glad Brook quoted it.

We got ours a week or so ago also. I guess it's good that it says 2011-2012. I never understood why they sent out the 2010 version in January of 2010...by then it was too late to plan. You'd either made your reservations or you hadn't.
