I always pack way too much - thats the problem with driving there I throw all kinds of things in just in case

Right I have to go to bed too. I need to be in work again for 7:30am so I can do some assessment and prep before the kids get in.

But seriously....what am i going to do if they don't open the tunnel in 11 days?

We couldnt get the ferry, 4 people can't fit in my brothers convertable!

because we nearly always make DLP part of a longer holiday in France on a campsite we have all kinds of strange things with us so when we open the boot to get our bags out we can see people looking at the packed boot and wondering what on earth we've brought with us

If it came to it, you could probably take the ferry and then travel to the nearest train station, then get a TGV down south.

I honestly think it will be open by the time you go though... Eurostar are still quite positive - they haven't ruled out trains running tomorrow afternoon, only the morning so far.

I think Im going to have to go to bed soon. Every night I promise myself an early night but I think Ive been on here til at least midnight most nights since last Friday

Agreed - not sure how far it is from ferry port to the nearest TGV station, but I suspect there's one in central Calais somewhere.
