Yes I am probably wrong my geography of "down south" is terrible !!!!!

haha - that's like my "up north" geography. Then again my geography of most places is terrible. When we were talking about my possible Seattle trip, I accused it of being NE America (I was confusing Washington state and Washington DC).

The only down south Quaker schools are Leighton Park near Reading, Sidcot near Bristol and Sibford near Oxford. Of those, Leighton Park is definitely the closest to Surrey :thumbsup2

If DH and I were to get married now as opposed to 10 years ago I would do things different. We got married at the church I attended growing up where my parents, grandparents, aunt etc got married and where I was christened. We had the big wedding with the big dress. I loved my day, but it was what was expected. If I was to do it again I'd get married in WDW and just take my closest friends who we go to WDW with and our parents.
Sounds exactly what I'd like to do. I'm thinking our immediate family (mums and dads and his two sisters) then our best friends.

Just people who genuinley care that I'm getting married.

Why should I pay for my friends current boyfriend to eat and drink a nice meal when I've never met them?!? Or my aunt and uncle who havent got me a birthday present since I was 12? I shouldn't!

Wow, Pete and I were together for nearly 3 years. We did get together the 1st week of uni though when I was 18.

Gosh Torsie.... you've urmmm kinda thought alot about this i see loool

Lol, I love our exact DLRP thoughts and polar opposite wedding thoughts! I like your ones for prom or a party....but never for my wedding!

They are SUPER cool though....

:) As a planner I should really know these things .....

I wish that would have happened to me!! :cloud9: How long did you wait to get married?

Bob xoxoox

Its not quite as bad as it sounds - we had known each other for 3 yrs- been at Uni together and been friends in that we hung round with the same group of people but didnt really like each other for most of the 3 yrs then suddenly we clicked, we got to now each other better as friends then went out and before I knew it we were engaged and planning a wedding.
We had to wait 12mths to get married as I was going to Chester to do a PGCE and he was finishing his degree in Yorkshire.
We' re still together after 26 yrs - dont know how hes put up with me for so long :rotfl:

I love these Candy Anthony dresses because they're still bridal and not white!
