The New Caribbean Beach FAQ Part VII

Hi All,

I have a question concerning room requests upon your 60 day check in.

When I first put in my requests the system stated I can request up to 2 room requests. I went to modify my requests and it is not allowing me to un-check my original choices. I then added in my new choice in hopes that one of the originals would cancel out. Instead, it just added a 3rd choice....is there anyway to un-check one of my original selections?

Thank you!

:thanks:pixiedust:

Just wanted to say that I switched out our dates (still staying at CBR), so instead of going from 2/28-3/7, we are now booked from 1/23-1/30 (DD13, DD11, and I). I was a bit concerned with our original dates because we were going so close to Spring Break, but with my new dates, I was looking at the different crowd calendars, and they are showing 1s, 2s, and 3s, with a couple 4s mixed in :cool1:. I am really excited and happy that we changed plus since we live in a cold weather climate (Chicago), this will be a nice break from all of the snow and below 0 temps that we usually get that time of year. I'm just sorry that DH will be staying behind, he would much rather stay and work (even though he is a huge Disney nut like his girls and wifey), and he has a couple Blackhawks games that he plans on going to during that week anyways....so it is a win win for all of us :goodvibes.

Been out of the loop for a week or so. Hope l haven't missed any new changes lol. Thanks for all of the information y'all. Going from planning solo trips to a group trip would have been daunting without this thread.

Anyway, checking in tomorrow so cross your fingers for us that we get through the magic band glitches.

And as thanks if you have specific on the front line questions drop a line here or send me a PM.

Cheers! Roehl

So I picked up our intineraries yesterday from AAA and they have our room listed as WATER/POOL. I don't believe we paid for that, is that the standard or did we get an upgrade?

Are you sure you paid for a standard room? It's possible that you actually paid for a water/pool view room but it's just as possible that AAA booked that room for you as an upgrade.

Yay for leaving tomorrow! I hope that everything goes well on your trip. If you have a chance, would you please ask if they are still on time with the refurb. Last word was that it would be complete anywhere from March to May, 2015. Thanks!

I am pretty sure we only went for a standard as we just asked for the Free Dining promotion at CBR. Maybe they upgraded us for free, who knows but if it's better I won't complainpixiedust:

Cool. I take it WATER/POOL is the lake or pool and standard is the parking lot (or simialr) like the other resorts?

Does anyone happen to have a picture of the hair dryer provided in the rooms? Wondering if I need to bring mine. Thanks! :)

20 days. .. but who's counting? :cool1:

I don't have a pic of the blow-dryer, but was there a month ago and was actually surprised at it being a regular, not-attached-to-the-wall blow dryer. I didn't miss mine at all!

As of this morning I was booked at ASSp. Made a phone call, spoke with a great CM, and now I'm booked at CBR for next week 10/27-11/3. Now I get to go through this entire thread while watching the hockey game tonight...

Yay for changing resorts! I hope that you'll love the resort just as much as my family does. Over the years, we have stayed at the CBR 100+ days and I still am itching to get back there in May & June, 2015. I have lots of pictures and info about the resort in my trip report. Just click on the link in my signature.

Hi!
Can anyone tell me if all of the pool areas of the resort have also the small children's splash pools/areas (or whatever they are called)? We have a 2-year-old who loves to "swim". Are the pools heated during winter time? Or am I hoping for too much that we could use the pools - we'll be there at Christmas :santa:. Maybe it will be way too cold for swimming.

There is a children's splash area for kids under 48" by the main pool. The pools are heated year round, so you can absolutely swim over Christmas! I will be there at that time too and definitely plan on swimming. :goodvibes

Hi, everyone!

We're currently trying to plan our 2nd wdw trip - this time for over Easter break. We know it'll probably be insanely busy, but unfortunately with school schedules this yr- it's the only time we can go.
Last Nov., we stayed at the Poly with a great discount but paying full rack rate, we're trying to decide between CBR & CSR. They both look beautiful! :goodvibes

The only concern we have with CBR & CSR are the sizes of the resorts.

If we were to book CBR, does anyone have any recommendations of what area / type of room to book that would be closest to the main pool & OPR - if there is a location that would be close to both? What would be the best room type to book?

The new rooms look so pretty! :lovestruc

HEADING TO CBR TOMORROW, SO EXCITED, NOT SURE HOW I'LL SLEEP TONIGHT. LONG RANGE FORECAST LOOKS AMAZING! OUR FIRST TRIP TO DISNEY. HOPING FOR SOME PIXIE DUST WITH OUR ROOM REQUEST :cheer2::cheer2::cool1::cool1::beach::beach:pixiedust:pixiedust:

If you are looking for close to the main pool and OPR then book a preferred room to guarantee it, since they are the closest.

The water views at WDW are like at other resorts. They can be a view of the lake or of the pool(s). We were in a water view room the first two nights of our last trip and moved to a standard room for the remainder of the stay. They were, literally, just one door away from each other.
