The New Caribbean Beach FAQ Part VII

Just noticed I am under the three month mark  We booked early spring so it feels like it is taking forever. I really want a refurbished room so I am going to make Jamaica my only "request" when I do online check in. We usually do adjoining rooms with the other families we are traveling with but would rather refurbished than Jamaica .... so my question is How big is each village? If we are not adjoining and don't request rooms next to one another could we potentially be pretty spread out? Can you request a specific building?

Cole Marie: I stayed in Jamaica 4401 - it was a refurbished room and had a connecting room -

Just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone on this thread for their dedication. I have had all my questions answered and am quickly becoming a CBR fan can't wait to see it up close. :worship:

Sorry to be a bummer, but I got in a car accident this weekend and I just feel like I've lost interest in our trip:(. We are supposed to leave next Friday. I was really angry after it happened because I was hit, but now I feel almost depressed, and that really isn't me. I hope you don't mind if I ask for a little encouragement.

I really really hope you feel better! I hope you're physically okay and that you can still enjoy your trip!

Oh no! I hope that you weren't injured. Hopefully, you'll get back to your old self and get re-excited about the upcoming trip. I had a wreck several years back (thankfully not so bad that the car wasn't drivable) just three days before we were to drive to Disney. It does put a damper on the excitement of the trip. Keeping you in my thoughts!

Thank you for your thoughts. I think it just felt good to just say it if it makes any sense. No broken bones or bad injuries, but the whiplash is catching up with me. I can understand and deal with pain, but I'm not used to having my muscles feel like they are all locked up like this.

I had a front end loader back up and t-bone the driver side of my car. Just waiting to see if it is totaled or not. it's any older car only worth $5-$7k. It's drivable, but I have to scoot over from the passenger side. I drive less than 3000 miles a year so having to buy a new car would really stink!

What are the chances I can request our rooms to be ready for early check in by calling the night before, or early morning of check in day. Thank you.

When you do online check-in, you can select the time you'll be arriving at the hotel. Typically, my hotel room is ready when I get there, even if it's significantly before 3-4pm, and I've stayed at a number of different resorts.

Can someone confirm that "quiet" pools are still "swim at your own risk"...no official closing time?

I am so sorry about your wreck. That bites! I really hope you don't have to get another car. Sending prayers out to you for your whiplash to go away quickly. You know what though? One way or another it will all be ok! :goodvibes Try to look at the bright side and keep thinking that after that you really deserve and need a Disney break from life! Hopefully you will enjoy the trip even more! :yay:

We had a storm damage our house in August right before our trip to Willimasburg and it put a damper on the trip. It's tough to get that out of your mind when something like that happens but now our house is fixed and we (kind of) regret letting it bother us. If you can be fixed (which I hope you can be) then put it out of your mind, it's like hitting the bad luck lottery for a moment but you can't let it get you down. :thumbsup2

Hi all,

My wife and I really weren't a fan of the rooms at CBR pre-refurbishment, but really like the look of them now. We are trying to decide which resort we'll stay at for our upcoming April/May 2015 trip.

I know the refurbishment details (as much as we know, anyway) have been outlined in this thread, but I wanted to reach out and see if anyone had an educated guess on when they think the entire resort will be updated? I saw it was guesstimated the preferred locations might be done by the end of December. So, if I am correct, would that then leave half of Trinidad South (since the other half are pirate rooms) to be done? Seems likely it'd be done before our trip, then.

We'd just be booking a normal room with 2 beds for us and our little guy (for his first trip). Just trying to piece this together and would appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks in advance.
