I also called and made my final payment today (a tad late, but....). Anyway I asked the CM I spoke with and he said the splash pool is not closed during our stay. Am I just missing the bullet? We'll be there 9/20-25th. We too upgraded from a value for the pool experience for my 4 your grandson. So I will be very disappointed if the kidding area is closed.

I am new to Caribbean Beach. I have no idea what building to stay in (or request). Can someone help me? I want to be close to the main pool and food. We have a 2.5 year old. Thoughts?

I called and complained, as the splash pad was a major reason for staying there. we have a 6 year old and a 20 mo old (at time of travel). i got no where. my travel agent got no where. the only thing we could have done was upgrade at our own expense and keep our free dining. .

Thanks for feedback on your own experience. I was expecting that response but wanted to see if anyone got lucky. It's no WL or Poly scenario but IMO a big feature of the amenities.

I don't care so much about FD (I think it is actually costing us more then OOP) but my wife is scared of making the change and losing some coveted FPs.

I did, I booked a king room and requested water view in Jamaica. I would go with your plan of booking preferred and requesting water view Martinique, but pick which is more important to you (close to food/pool vs. view) in case you don't get all your requests.

Have had a great five days here at CBR! Today I slept in then hung out at the pool for a bit before going to Typhoon Lagoon. Pools have been great, the view is amazing, spent some time chilling in a hammock just steps from my door, food court was fine. Only a few minor negatives that I can think of: the parking situation in Jamaica 41-43, as I mentioned before; the WiFi leaves a bit to be desired, and holy loud A/C units! While I like that they aren't the motion sensor kind they could definitely stand to be a little quieter! Did not use any buses so can't comment on those. I would definitely stay here again, but I'm on a quest to stay at all the resorts. Checking out in the morning to head over to the Grand Floridian for one night, then home on Tuesday.

Thanks for all the information. Have fun at the GF :thumbsup2

I chose not to have a water view in bdg 25 - The trouble with being 'beach front' is that you'll get people walking past all the time and unless you keep your blinds closed for privacy you'll have people glancing in. We also kept our laptops out on the table, so they would have been fully visible to anyone walking past and glancing in. It's not as if you can sit outside your room and watch the world go by, either.

Ok thanks for the tip, I may just book preferred.

I actually like a loud A/C unit, so I don't hear folks walking by and people that might be loud.

Not sure if I can post links but Dave at ************** dot net just wrote and posted a review of the refurbished rooms along with some pics and floor plans!!!

FP+ is not affected by changing resorts/package. I have changed resorts and dining plan twice since booking my fastpasses and they are fine.

FP+ shouldn't be affected by reservation changes, but I understand the fear. I called and simply added my room requests and my youngest DD was dropped from all of our FPs! Made for quite a stressful few days as the most coveted FP (A&E) was the one the IT help desk couldn't rectify! A couple phone calls and then an email to guest services and finally we were fixed!

My advice if you want to make a change take screen shots of ALL of your FPs and information - in case something would happen then you have a leg to stand on. Very glad I had done that.

You might want to double check or call the hotel directly because from what I read the children's splash area is suppose to be closed Sept 2-26, I would hate for you to be disappointed if in fact it is closed while you are there.

We are traveling to CBR on Sept8-13. We have
A group of 4 kids under 6. Will they be able to
Swim in the main pool? I saw a post about
You have to be 4 feet to get into main pool.
Just want to make sure they wi be able to swim.:cool1:

Yes! They can definitely swim! We were in the pool last summer and held a baby in my arms the whole time. No splash area during your travel dates, but the kids can definitely enjoy the pool!

Loving CBR! We are in Jamaica 41, and the refurb is great. No Murphy bed, but that's ok. We have until Sat to hit everything!

Popping in to check out CBR since it'll now be a viable option for our family of 5 next year! Loving the pics of the refurbed rooms!

I found a link to all the snack options available for OPR but I lost it, does anyone have the list of snack options at OPR? The one I saw was pretty detailed but I lost it.
