now that 2015 rack room rates are out, does anyone there now know if there are bounceback offers for APril 2015 in the rooms? thanks!

Does anyone know if the pool slide is dark. Pool slides look Awesome from pictures and videos I've seen. I just want to make sure they won't be too dark inside them for my DD.

The one slide is enclosed and has a turn so it's pretty dark. The other one is open.

Does anyone know when the pool renovations are meant to be finished?

I have been told from a very reliable source that the Children's Splash area will be closed for some work from September 2nd -26.

I'm glad it looks like it will be done by the time we get there on the 18th Oct, I guess I wont need to change resorts now!

I leave in 20 days and hearing the splash pool will be closed when I go gets me upset. I wish they told us sooner. I got 2 kids who were looking forward to it.

Just made another payment on our trip, feels so good to see our balance coming down- we made a weekly budget and are saving religously to pay off in time. Airline tickets have been paid, only thing left is to get MVMCP tickets hopefully by end of month so all should be fine. Wanted to see if anyone perhaps has any pictures of any water view rooms in either Jamaica or Aruba? We requested this area and would love to see what one might look like. Getting real excited and I think once girls start school the time will really go by quickly. Have a great day everyone.

Yep, this is us. With a 15 month old we were really counting on the kids play area. The fact that CBR has a kiddie place allowed us to switch from ASMo to CBR and still make sure we had that special splash area for dd. I'm regretting spending the extra money. I'm wondering if we should switch...

I hear you. We were booked at CBR for the kids area. We could have stayed anywhere this trip, since my parents are going and we are split between 2rooms, we are usually a fam of 5. We chose CBR before FD, because they have such a great kids area and we had lots of pool time planned. I think it's quite a dirty trick to wait until all of us were under 45 days to spring this on us.

The pool is still opened. Just the kids play area will be closed for a short time.

The latest reports are that all of Jamaica is done and they are now working in Aruba. A Diser was told that it takes between two and three months to complete each village. If they continue the path that they are taking now, Barbados will be the next village to be done. The work permit is good through May, 2015 which is supposed to be when all of the rooms (with the exception of Trinidad South...pirate rooms) will be completed.

The main pool is not closed, but the children's splash are will be closed for work Sept. 2-26.
