Yay for a pop of color on the bed! Are you in a room with a pull down bed? If not, if you get a chance, would you mind taking a picture or two of your dresser. Some are wondering what the non-pullout bed dresser looks like. Thanks!

I don't have a pull out bed. We just left to head back to MK for dinner so I'll try to remember tonight. If not I'll post one from my regular camera when I get back home!

Please don't take time away from your trip. We can wait until you get home. Thanks again!

So I know a bunch of people were saying the refurb beds are too white. We're in Jamaica 43 right now and housekeeping just came in with a new runner for the beds! Hopefully this picture works, just snapped a quick raw one of the bottom of Jem's bed!

Thanks for taking the time to share!
Well. I'm still totally not excited that they decided to use my 2 very least favorite colors for the decor, but hey...Murphy bed!!!!! Yay! Can't wait to be blue to stay there!

Any other picture requests? We are here until Sunday, so just let me know. Headed out for the night to Epcot!

Hey everyone!!
It's been quite some years since my last visit to CBR (1992 to be exact) and even though we are doing a split stay and it's not a long visit, I'm so excited to be going back!(August 14 -16). Thanks to everyone for all the tips!
Deb 123 - thanks for all the photos! I'm on the phone right now Requesting Jamaica 45! I had requested Jamaica during online check in but that was only because this is a surprise birthday trip for my mom and she's from Jamaica!
That dark wood reminds me of my grandparents home back in Jamaica -love it!!!
To all planning or future visits to CBR have a Magical vacation!

I've been using this tool as well. It does show that every *village* has king rooms (except Trinidad South, of course), just not every building.

I made a mistake. I meant to say that the tool shows 13 buildings as not having King rooms when I know for a fact that every building (yes, except for Trinidad South) has some King rooms.

I'm finally going to call today to put in my room request. My main goal is queen size beds...so would my chances be better if I just requested refurbished or if I requested refurbished and Jamaica?

If a refurbed room is your number 1 request, then make that your request as they may have more villages done by the time you go.

Hello everyone!

My family and I will be at Carribean Beach for the first time from Sept. 26th - Oct. 4th (please add us to roll call :)) We are VERY excited to stay here and hoping for Aruba or Jamaica!

We have been used to staying at resorts with only one bus stop (POP Century, POFQ, etc) and have been majorly spoiled with bus transportation.

It gets me a little nervous with the bus transportation at CBR because of all of the stops.

Usually, when we stay at POP and POFQ, we get a mug refill and then go to the bus stop from there. I see there's a bus stop at the OPR. If we do this every morning before we head to the park (around rope drop), will we be ok with finding a spot to load on the buses? Or will we be lucky to find a spot on the bus.

I realize there's an order to the bus stops...however, I don't know if, from people's prior experiences, they can share if they've had success loading onto bus from OPR in the mornings?

Or, should I go to OPR and then walk ALL THE WAY to my bus stop at Aruba or Jamaica?

Any tips on loading buses in the morning would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

I have added your dates. I must say one of the things we love about CBR is the fact that there is not one central bus stop. We have had some pretty far walks to and from the centrally located bus stops at other resorts and we just don't at CBR. We have only used the stop at OPR a couple times but have never not gotten on the first bus and have never had to stand. We are a rope drop family though. IMHO there is no need to walk back to your village's bus stop.

Nice! Thanks for posting.

Have you had any experience where you couldn't get on the bus from OPR because it was too full?

No, I have not. Actually, there was only one time that we felt a bus was too full to get on and that was our personal choice. My 79 year old mother was with us and needed to have a seat and we didn't want to take a chance on somebody not giving up a seat for her. We opted to wait for another bus which came quickly thereafter. During all of our stays, we have never seen a bus so full that they weren't taking on guests.

Agree with mickeystoontown here. We have never had an issue the few times we have used the stop at OPR. We normally use the Jamaica stop though. We have found a much more efficient way to get everyone fed in the mornings than all heading over to OPR together. I am the breakfast runner and head over to OPR while my wife and son are getting ready and bring back breakfast and mugs for all 3 of us. Then we just hop on the bus at the Jamaica stop. Plus it keeps me from crawling the walls waiting for them to get ready.

Thanks, I read that Jamaica was a good area, but I didn't know if two requests was a bad idea. We arrive on Oct. 3!

Jamaica is a great area. You can make 2 requests, just list them in order of importance. We always request Jamaica 45 and 2nd floor. We've gotten both every time.

Well it is official I made my final payment today for our trip Sept 21 - 28 :) I booked a preferred room so made a request for Martinique 25 courtyard view or I would be okay with giving up my preferred room for one in Jamaica 45 with a Murphy bed.

First time staying at CBR, we have stayed in the past at POP and CSR. I was not crazy about CSR, I just did not like the theme that much. We are trying CBR this trip since my mom is staying at WBC and so it will make it easy for her to meet up with us. I added her to our room so she can have the dining plan and tickets.

Going to 2 MNSSHP events and now just have to get outfits planned.

Super excited and not to much longer now!

Don't worry I'm not taking any time out at all! It's actually the perfect day to ask because we have a resort evening (early breakfast tomorrow). Here's a quick picture of the dresser:

Looks like a good amount of storage space. I'll be by myself though, so that's not even really a necessity. And I have that same spray sunscreen. :rotfl:

I'm faxing in my requests on Saturday, have had good luck with that (at other resorts) in the past. My first choice of rooms are the king bed waterview rooms in Jamaica 42, but my next batch is Trinidad North, so we'll see if I get a refurbed room or not! Only one more week!

Deb123 You are awesome! Thanks for all the pictures! I hope that you are having a great trip! :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone! I emailed a couple more pics this morning of the breakfast options. Trying to send pictures of what I want to see before staying somewhere, haha! Before 7 am only one food station is available. Plenty of coffee in several places. Headed out to AK today. Have a great day, everyone!

Where do you fax your request to? I didn't know you could do that.
