Thursday night (June 5) I snuck over to Jamaica 41 and took photos of the renovated rooms. Curtains were open, lights were on, TV's were running.

That's what it looked like to me. When we would drive by in the evenings, I could see the new light fixtures but not much more. And, as I said, there were security guards posted around the building so I couldn't get close.

The bottom of the sign says New Banquette Bed Pads. That's what those beds at POR are called. This would indicate they will definitely have the fold down bed somewhere at least in some of the rooms.

Clearly, the new rooms are very similar to the model room from last year. Oddly, the one thing in that model room that really screamed "Caribbean" to me was the steel drum table, and that doesn't seem to have made the final cut. I could possibly see there was a problem with glare from it though. I have to admit that I do like the design of the old rooms better. It just doesn't have a real Caribbean "feel" to it, to me at least. It looks like it could use some more splashes of color.

Ya I agree that new table seems out of place. The motif on it doesn't say Caribbean to me.

So excited for queen beds and Murphy beds!!!

Thanks so much for the pics I've just messaged a cm on Instagram I don't no him but seen he was workingh there so took the change to ask and he said there was only a few rooms finished and they are putting new beds and making the access ability to the rooms better. But from these pics they look like that have changed more

I just wanted to say hello to all here. We love CBR! Our first time was last Christmas and the next time will be next summer. I will send in my dates when I figure out when next summer. I can't wait for the refurb and thanks for all of the pics!

I was hoping for a new room when we visit in Oct but looking at the pics I think I'd rather have the older brighter rooms! Not a lover of dark wood either!!

We're here! Checked in a little while ago. I had requested Jamaica, but we're in Trinidad South. We're celebrating our 20th anniversary, and they upgraded us to pirate rooms for FREE! I was going to have them check for availability in Jamaica 41, but our kids really wanted to keep the pirate room! It's our first time in a mod, and so far we're VERY happy!

Ok so now the trick is going to be figuring out how to get into one of the new rooms with a murphy bed. Do you just keep trying to book a room with 5 people in it on a regular basis?

What coffee brand is in the room, to make your own coffee? Is it the filtered pods? Do they have dark roast? Thought I would plan ahead in case it's to far to walk to FC for coffee in the morning.

I just went back and looked at the pictures that husker posted. Look at the third picture from the top. Doesn't that look like a murphy bed size mattress on one of the beds?

We will be heading there Nov. 11th to 18th and flying out of Buffalo of course! Flying out of Buffalo is WAY cheaper for us than flying out of Toronto. Our last few trips have been either mid-November or early December and we love that time of year at WDW.

Yes, I second that! Buffalo is WAY cheaper than TO!! We too will be heading out of Buffalo for our trip down south.
