The NEW AP Rate Watch Thread, Are they out yet??

Definately change to the cheapest code effective you can get and can actually use (if need disney visa have it etc...) . You can still always call and change it again to ap rate if it is cheaper! Remember as soon as you change it Murphy's law is that the ap rate will then come out! Sometimes I've changed my rate several times starting with wdtc dc discount > to a code (with cro for different rules) > to an ap rate, all from the first ressie! Good luck, MKY

They probably would not change your ressie at the resort that day, but you could call CRO in the AM before check in, and they could change it in the computer, I bet they would. We moved from swan to BC last summer and called cro and they had everything in computer with ap discount in there and we got there in about 20 minutes! MKY

Just called 11:20 a.m. est - no AP rates yet. I am currently booked under the CZF code. The CM was nice enough to try the email code I got, AFQ and it was the same rate. I'll keep hoping.

Doesn't Disney like to release discounts on Sundays and Mondays? I'm hoping maybe we'll hear something this coming Sunday or Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed....

Do the AP rates apply to concierge? I've used AP rates in the past but never on a concierge room.

Hi there to All! This is my first time reply to any posts on here. Although my family of now 6 are BIG Disney fans. We haven't been to Disney for almost 2 and a half years now of which we used to go 2 times a year. We added twins to our family 2 years ago and I'm sure without explaining to you all with 4 boys now ages 8,7 and 2 year old twins you can understand why waited for them to get a little bigger!! But I mostly just wanted to say that I am extremly upset with Disney this time around planning my trip. They always have put out the discount by now . We are going this spring,in May. Just upsets me that Disney doesn't give any answers when you call daily and ask why. They should at least tell you as to why especially this close to the trip now. Also I think with the economy and the war they are waitng to see how many of us will come in May and the future for that matter. I am also very dissappointed in NO Spectromagic and the early park closing hours. I have been in May many times before and it always was open later ,especially the MK. But thats for another post I think ..LOL An how thanks for listening to me and letting me vent a little.

Definitely book whatever you can right now at the best available rate. Even if Annual Pass rates do come out for your time period there is "no" guarantee they will be any better than what you can get right now, and there is no guarantee if they are better you can get it.

It is not an automatic situation of, I have an AP I get a discount. They are subject to availability and certain resorts do sell out very quickly of the rooms that are discounted.

Also to those undecided on your plans. Please know that if you book an AP rate and get it, then cancel it, it does not go back in the availability to others section. It is just gone.

The park hours for May 2003 at the MK are pretty much the same as last May at the MK. The firework schedule was also the same. SpectroMagic is the only difference.

Well, I really don't know what to think except that I don't think we'll see any AP rates released until after Easter, closer to the beginning of May.

First of all, many CM's have been saying to 'check the next Mickey Monitor", and secondly, the week before and after Easter are not likely to be discounted. It's possible they are saying to check the MM to throw us all off guard, but I think they are just waiting and seeing how bookings start to look for over the summer.

If I am unable to get an AP rate, then we'll just go with a 6 or 7 day hopper, and forget about paying the extra for an AP.

I sent an email to Disney about the lack of annual passport rates and received a canned response back saying that Disney Imagineers are constantly looking at ways to improve entertainment in the parks and coming up with ideas about new attractions. Why they think that entertainment and attractions have anything to do with annual passport rates is a mystery to me. My guess is that a CM pressed the wrong button when she sent her 'canned' response back to me. Oh well... at least I tried to let them know my opinion.

I would like to point out, that although these are the hours posted at the present time for MK - they are ALWAYS changing.

Last year on our honeymoon, every other day in our room we would be getting *notices* about WDW adding another Grad Nite; therefore extending MK hours on another night for WDW guests...also - keep in mind, that although Grad Nites are not open to WDW guests, the fireworks can still be seen from anywhere around the 7 Seas Lagoon (and WDW does not list these sets of fireworks in their park hours!!!) We would sit on our balcony at the GF and watch them everytime! They go off late during Grad Nites (I believe it is 11:00 or 12:00 - ask a CM when you are there - they will know for sure!)

Rule of thumb - don't go to MK the day's that it is open late - the park is jammed on those days!!

Do the CMs at CRO give out AP codes/rates? My experience was (during our 3/28 stay at POFQ) that they did not. I repeatedly called and asked getting only the published rates and a 10% AAA discount. Finally (I know late in the game) I discovered Mousesavers and called CRO with the code. I am returning with DH either 4/29-5/5 or 5/29-6/6~~ just wondering if I should book GF now and hope for AP rates or wait? Any thoughts?

If Annual Pass rates are released you will need the special code that is associated with them.
