Does anyone have a firsthand report on the new Anna & Elsa caused procedure?

I can't believe the Frozen Ones have caused an entire Park to change its opening routine!lol:)

See thread on Disney Rumors & News.

So if your going to anywhere in Fantasyland you are behind the rope? What if your not going to Fantasyland?

I'm curious to know how this will affect those that have ADRs for either Crystal Palace or CRT before the park opens. Can we still walk leisurely down Main Street so we can stop and take pictures along the way or will a CM have to take us to our destination?

That is a good question too, normally when we go at RD, we aren't heading straight for Fantasyland, instead we are either going towards Tomorrowland or Frontierland.

We have no interest in meeting Anna & Elsa, but we will be going straight to 7DMT in that mess. Ugh.

I think that probably added to the decision to implement the procedure!! With people running (walking quickly) to the Frozen sisters already and then the opening of SDMT it was sure to be more chaos!! :scared1:

I think it's a good decision from Disney!

EVERYONE is behind the rope through Main Street. The rope walk will continue to the entrance to Fantasyland, but people going to other lands will be able to move once you get to the Hub.

I think 7DMT is going to have a bit of a crowd excited for it as well. Though having experienced A & E multiple rope drop mornings, I've yet to experience anything insane or out of the norm for a MK morning. I think all the hype is being inflated. Sure, the wait times are long, but Disney has really done all they can to keep it organized and orderly. They've done the rope down Main Street to stop people who want to run--probably to avoid injuries. The same 'run to an attraction' is done daily for TSMM and Soarin', as well as in DL.

Though if you want to avoid A & E altogether, just turn right to go towards Rays, then left at the Tea Cups and you are at 7DMT without going near PFTH.

I think this shows that Disney still can "create" characters that people love and go crazy over and that they don't need to purchase the rights to others ideas just to get something successful.

Ugh. I have no interest in anything Frozen (possibly my least favorite movie ever to come out of Disney), but I do want to go on the mine train. I'll just wait and see how things look towards the end of the summer.

I want full contact rope drop! Kinda between roller derby and black friday...:rotfl2:

Why can't they have a few sets of A&E like they do Mickey? Maybe a set in Epcot, a couple sets in MK? Add. Them to Princess character dining, and give the people what they want! I could be perusing the park, buying our kids overpriced souvenirs and stuffing our faces with $5 cupcakes instead of standing in line for 4 hours. Sorry if this has been asked before.

Thanks! I will do that!

More than one set does all day meets at MK. While in Norway there was only one set meeting at a time, so the move to MK has doubled the capacity (and added FP+). Anna and Elsa are also in the daily parade at MK.

I'm wondering how they're going to keep EVERYONE behind the rope as they go down Main St. The sidewalk has lamp posts, garbage cans, etc...so I don't see how the rope could cover that area. Then there's the cutting thru stores tactic. Are they blocking off inside the stores? Just curious.

I must say, the article makes me even more appreciative that we had a FP for them a few weeks ago. All those adults running and some with strollers crashing into ppl...pure madness.

I was there on Friday for rope drop. They have CMs EVERYWHERE. On the sides of the road, in the center before the statue, on the hubs themselves. You cannot get past the ropes, and if you do, there is someone there to stop you. I was not going to A&E, but to Peter Pan, so I had to follow the line just the same. Was going to cut through Liberty Square, but they were there with ropes as well, so we just squeezed our way through the castle opening like everyone else.

Just to clarify - the only people who have to go through the castle are the ones going into FL, right? If we are starting at BTMRR and Splash, there will be a way for us to take a left fork off in that direction?
