Did you eat a Mickey Bar for me?!?

Sorry, kids, I've mostly been lurking for a while (trying to keep up on what's going on but not taking time for posts). Have a house guest coming for Christmas (big sister from Chicago) and have lots to do to get ready.

ALSO, have had to watch POTC several times since getting it in a gift exchange last week! Depplyinluv I was a little dissapointed in the cast commentary option and the bloopers (too short). Was hoping for something from Johnny and Orlando. I haven't looked at all the additional material yet though...am I missing something good?

OMG look at the time! One hour past my bedtime! Only have to work 6 1/2 more days this year WHOOOO HOOOOO
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

P.S. Today our General Manager (the BIG boss) told me I could leave early Wed to see LOR:Return of the King...wasn't that nice?

I wouldnt happen to know, unfortunately , as I ONLY own the VHS:(

Hwello all! hope no one has caught anything....I have been MIA because I UNFORTUNATLY have the flu....actually, I think its starting to develop into pneumonia(sp?)...I have chronic(?) asthma, well i have asthma problems constantly,, and i didnt get a flu shot this year...

HEY! I know what happened to all the MARS BARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they didnt get sent away to europe, SH had a huge stash in his hole! MHO on SH....I think he still has allies/followers and theyre going to do something soon....unfortunately...but I know he's gotta have some people that help him left...

well i have to go to school because I have 4 , 4~~~, tests this week and i didnt want to miss any as friday is my last day and then a 2 week vaca...

o and one more thing....stock up on lysol and spray/wipe everything!!!!!

::yes::

houseofmouse, there are no official rules to getting tagged.

Regarding "The words underneath your Avatar"

We call those words your tag or title. Users must be registered at least 30 days and have made 30 posts before they have the opportunity to change their title. Once those conditions are met, and new section will appear automatically under your user cp > edit profile. It will be titled "custom user text" and will be right under the birthday section.

If you get lucky, a mysterious tag fairy could come by and grant your wish for a title. They watch the boards and "tag" you when you least expect it. Sometimes it's something funny you said, :) sometimes it's something you wish you hadn't said. If you are fortunate enough to be "tagged" by the tag fairy, just a word of advice: don't try to change your tag or it will disappear. While you will be able to change the tag yourself soon, only the tag fairies can add color to your tag.

Ohn and Tigger Fans!, I guess I Meant the "Purple" Factor.....

Depplyinluv so sorry to hear you have the flu. Get well soon. Don't stress about your tests. Don't want you getting any sicker than you already are!!

I feel terrible for llebrekniT. I bet she can't wait to get back home to her own bed. What a bummer for her and the kids. I hope her flight goes ok. Deadheadbelleplease give her a big

Both the Prince of Darkness and I are sufficiently humiliated. I, for looking like the Man in the Moon on national television. Bill, for having a green dragon strapped to his back. Rest assured, I had to feed him a huge quantity of Beggin' Strips before he reverted back to his sufficiently evil persona.

Cheeringmom Thanks for breakfast .

Preface: I had a Rainbow vacuum cleaner for over 15 years. Seven years ago I bought a Dirt Devil for the stairs. Three years ago, I had to replace my Rainbow because the maid destroyed it, I replaced it when we got a new maid that actually knew how to take care of it. She comes once a week and is there to clean, not straighten…..

“They finished cleaning the air ducts, and there is a fine powder all over the house, do you have a keyboard vacuum?”

Enter Google search for quality vacuum cleaners, and looking for a good portable one with a heppa-filter in it. On sale for $199. at Orek. Good reviews…I swing by on my way home from work, they tell me it’s free if I buy one of their light weight super filter 21 year warranty uprights. I look, it looks a lot better than the one we had for the stairs that is falling apart…They also have Air Cleaners, so I buy a couple of those. Lots of free stuff, I ran up a nice bill.

I got home, took Robin out to dinner, and told her I had a surprise. After she wormed it out of me, I was put in my place rather thoroughly. I was trying to do a good thing, but she said I was being wasteful. I said I was just making sure to keep the air in the house clean.

We got home, and she spent no time at all breaking out the Rainbow and vacuuming the entire house. I need to wait for the dust to settle; I couldn’t sleep at all last night; my nose was stopped up.

I told her if she wanted to take it back she could, she told me that she would rather me replace the laptop that is going out that to buy a vacuum cleaner that we will use once

OK, so now I am looking from a $600 Vacuum cleaner to a $2200 Tablet PC, and she is OK with it…I think I may have found a great way for her to OK my toys!!!!!
(OK, I am kidding, the whole bill was a lot more but still, I thought I was doing good to get this…)

And soooooo, this is the story of the Vacuum Cleaner that almost was….

:bounce:

Just wanted to check in and say "hello".

Poor Tinkbackwards. :( I hope everyone is feeling better. When do they get home?

We woke Monday morning to 19.3 inches of snow. Our school district was delayed 2 hours. I can't believe they didn't just close for the day. It was dense, heavy snow too. Took forever to clean up the driveway. I even had to go out back and shovel a "pee path" on the patio for Otto and Beanie, as it was over their heads. :teeth:

Anyway, I decided to blow off going into the office and get some housework done. Good thing, 'cause at 11:15 the phone rang. School nurse. Eric was nauscious. :( I picked him up, and he got "sick" once yesterday afternoon but woke up fine this morning. I hope that is the last we see of that 24 hour bug!!! ::yes::

I bought myself a smoothie maker yesterday as I want to eat more fruit and yogurt. Well, I made myself a banana/vanilla yogurt smoothie for breakfast. It is now 10:30 a.m., and I am absolutely starving. So much for healthy eating. Anyone got any bagels?

OhanaFamily do you have a air cleaner filter on your furnace too. We had one put in a few years ago and it really helps. At the same time my sister put in the air filter on the furance she ripped up all the carpet and put hardwood floors due to the dust mites that live in carpet.. helps from an allergy stand point.

I'm impressed!! ohanafamily and RRBB have a maid. Both of my sisters have a maid too. We are poor military people that have to fend for ourselves. Sorry your son isn't feeling well Bichon Barb. No bagels here....but I brought yummy Krispy Kreme donuts! They're still warm....have one!

Maybe you could ask Santa for a new vacuum for Christmas??? <img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_2_2.gif' border=0> ...or even better yet..... tell RRBB that you'll do all the vacuuming from now on if you can keep the new vacuum! :teeth:

Cheeringmom, you're a military family?! So was I! My Dad was in the Navy and I spent most of my life living on bases!

We've been in 22 yrs now-I was a child bride!!hehehe Anyway, we are AF <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/14_1_28.gif' border=0></a>and have only moved 6 times. Not too bad!! I think this is our last. We , I mean my dh, is getting old and it is getting harder to move. But I'm sure you can sympathize with us. We don't get paid very much money. My dh has 2 masters degrees and we are still poor! Oh well. I really do enjoy the military lifestyle. I will miss it but time to move on and try something new. Where have you been stationed RickinNYC?

We were stationed in San Diego (born there), then moved to a base smack in the middle of Boston (closed now), then over to Yokosuka, Japan, then Jacksonville, Fl. My folks now live in upstate NY.

We didn't move too often, maybe every 5-6 years, but we certainly moved to extremes, from hot to cold, to hot to cold!

Good Afternoon everyone!!!

I called llebrekniT this morning & they were in line for Killaminjaro (sp?) safari. Everyone is feeling much better, just a little weak. They cancelled their favorite breakfast this morning (Donald's breakfastosaurus) as no one has much of an appetite & she didn't see the point in spending the $$$, then not eating. I called her again thinking they'd be off the Safari, but she said she had to go as they were in the middle of stopping the poachers & saving Big Red. She called me back about an hour later & they had done "It's tough to be a Bug" & she was people watching while Daniel, Holly & Dan rode the Kali River Rapids. They also road Dinosaur twice earlier in the day & Ella loved Triceratops Spin. She was going to do some shopping (she is very upset that her shopping time was greatly reduced by this illness), then head back to the GF for rest time. They have a PS at Tony's tonight at 5:30pm, then they have tickets for MVMCP! I'm so glad everyone is feeling better & all temperatures are down. They got a late check-out for tomorrow & their flight doesn't leave until 6pm.

Lewski709, Love the SH smiley!

Cheeringmom, DFIL was in the Air Force! DH was born in Honolulu & lived there until he was 2. DFIL is a pilot now for UPS. I'm not sure how long he was in the AF. DH's grandmother was Italian & DH was born in Hawaii, so he calls himself an Italian Hawaiian. He likes to think he is part of the Corleone family & we named our 2nd dog Fredo. Also, when we went to Hawaii for our honeymoon he told me to just call him "local boy" while we were there. Have I mentioned that he thinks he is incredibly funny?

I'll let you know how the MVMCP goes tonight for llebrekniT & family.
