I love the "scary" cast members at Haunted Mansion and ToT but wanted to share a cute story from our trip last year. Our DD had just turned 7 two days before we went to DHS. She was determined to ride all of the big rides including ToT. When she was in line almost to the elevators she started getting nervous. When we got into the elevator she started to cry a little...my husband was about to take her off and one of the cast members broke character and said "It's okay princess, it isn't as scary as we make it seem." That was all it took and she ended up loving the ride. I appreciate everyone staying in character but I will always remember this on guy who broke to make my daughter feel better

I was reading on the TPAS board about special things at disney.
