Ok. That wasn't clear from your initial post. If they did indeed say $15 was the maximum to spend then they broke the rules. I still wouldn't feel bad though because you didn't do anything wrong.

umm...they live next door and across the street...not in another region. They are also natives of my town.
These gals definitely know what a "happy" is...and now so do you.

I understand that your neighbors live near you now, but it wasn't clear from your original post that your neighbors were always native to your town and know that the custom of a "happy" is set at $10-$15.
