But that's OK because he somehow got out of his house and was running loose... even crossing the busy street we live on!! :scared1: He's a 9 pound Dachshund, nearly totally blind and not very happy right now.

Thanks to another neighbor who went into the grove across the street and was able to catch him, he'll be staying in our yard until his owners come back from where ever they are. They have several young children and I bet he snuck out with one of the kids.

I'd bring him in but I'd be afraid of what my cats would do to him. :p
 
What a good neighbor you are to the dog and to his people. I hope his family comes home soon.
 
Wow he sounds like a killer! make sure you take all precautions when approaching him. I'm glad he is safe and you can keep him till they get home, he is probably really scared especially if blind and disoriented.
 
You and your neighbor are being so kind! You've really went out of your way to help your neighbors and their dog.
 

Dachshunds are trained to go after badgers...them's nasty critters! Your cats are much better off with him outside.

Especially since he's blind and p.o.'d. ;)
