Hi everyone and newest nut. I am currently waiting to get pictures from family members before I can post them - my stupid brand new camera that I received just before we left didn't work. I was slightly miffed as I purchased it specifically for the trip.

I would be more than miffed. What a bummer.

Liz...I thought I quoted you. Perhaps I am quote challenged. Don't worry about silly co-workers. Not worth your time.

I've been super busy the last few days. Today was a never-ending round of not 1 but 2 College graduation ceremonies....NOT at the same College, either. Nevertheless....I'm one proud mama Bear!!! But.... I'm pooped. Need....my......bed.

Hope to talk to you all before we leave for Brett's Provincial Baseball tournament that starts Friday. We'll be gone until Sunday night. If I don't get back here before we go....

Congrats, Lisa and family!!!


I just survived the night from hell. It all started when I got to work and they informed us that the construction at the Contemporary resulted in the kitchen having no power. What is Chef Mickey's without a kitchen!!?? We opened late, which meant grumpy guests. It also meant the cast members didn't get fed their dinner, so I was hungry all night! Then, when we did open we dealt with power outages all night throughout property. Epcot was even without power for awhile. Huge storms here. Checking people in with the computer system down is not a fun time. I got yelled at more times than I can count for people having to wait longer than they would have liked to. We are helpless without our computers. One man yelled at me until I almost started crying. Granted, that's not all that hard to do, but still.....
I think if I was a drinking person now is when I would have a drink. I'm going to go the ice cream route instead.

Ha. People do rate pretty high up there on that scale. This guy was just so totally and completely out of control. His face was bright red he was screaming so much. By the time my manager got over there to help me, she had to threaten to call security on him if he couldn't quiet down. Wanna know why he was so mad? Because we tell them they'll be seated within 15 minutes of their reservation time and it took 20 minutes for their party of 13 to get seated. With a party of 13 you would think they would have some patience.

Well, Kar, it must have worked! Last night was a great night. Since we didn't get our dinner the night before they had a huge spread waiting for us when we came in. I mean everything you can imagine off of the buffet! They also got us this huge chocolate mousse cake from the Contemporary bakery to thank us for working so hard through the power outage. Chocolate cake makes up for anything, right?

I'm here...just not posting much. The after-vacation slump/let-down...I had such a good time that nothing seems exciting now.

Ah, yes. I know that feeling. For me it always means I need to plan something else to look forward to. If I can't swing a weekend away or something, just a night with friends to look forward to usually cheers me up!

I got a little shaken up last night. I had my phone on vibrate in my pocket at work. I kept feeling it vibrate, but I didn't have a chance to check it until about 9. I had a bazillion missed calls and voicemails from my mom. Long story short....my little sister had her wisdom teeth out a couple weeks ago. She got an infection. They gave her something with penicillin to fix the infection. As it turns out she's allergic to penicillin. They had to take her to the ER and apparently it was quite a scare. She's fine now, thank God.

Actually I have been sending the nicest nastygrams to a couple of ingrates who are involved with the museum. Seriously, you can get more flies with honey so why do people insist on being abrasive? These are older people who love to swagger around nitpicking, to the point of harassment, anyone they believe will not stand up for themselves or who are in no position to answer back.
