Did you hear about this? I don't know where this happened but they were talking about it on The View. A man left his car unlocked and came back to find an unmarked envelope on his seat. A note was enclose that said "thank you for leaving your car unlocked. Hopefully you can share this with someone you love. My love is gone now." It wasn't signed and it contained a $15k diamond ring! I frequently leave my car unlocked but then there's nothing in it to steal but empty big gulp cups. I'd rather have them open the door, find nothing and leave rather than break the window. Nothing is ever left on my car but bird poop! Anyway, I thought this was a wonderful thing to do. I wonder if the person who left it is a recent widower or maybe he's recently been dumped?

I saw it on the morning news and they showed a picture of the ring. It's beautiful with three large diamonds.

Awww I'm a romantic at heart. I hope the guy who was surprised by this gift uses the ring for the love of his life.

I feel bad for the guy that gave it away and lost his love. That is so sad.

That was my first thought too.

It was Westborough, MA according to an article on the AP. I don't know MA that well to know where Wesborough is in relationship with Boston.

I sure hope the giver was widowed and not just dumped. I know that sounds awful but hear me out. A man/woman who is kind and generous enough to do this for a total stranger deserves to have lived a long and happy life with their soul mate. Sounds like they did and they want to pass some of that happiness on. If the person was just dumped then someone really missed out on an incredible person. In either case, the giver certainly has my deepest condolences and admiration for such an unselfish act.

Westborough is about 45 min west of Boston. It's actually closer to Worcester.
