The Murphys are LIVE from WDW Again!! March 18-27 (Pop and OKW)

Oh yeah! I just found your report. I am so excited!:woohoo:

I love your live trip reports! I am so in.:yay:

Update from Epcot! :)

Busy and crowded today, wait times for Soarin', TT, MS, all ranging between 80-100 minutes...we did Nemo and TT, had lunch at the Land, now headed to the Studios! :)

Wow Erica, your boys are getting big! Hope the rain stopped! OKW 2 bedrooms must be huge, the one bedrooms are huge by themselves! Have fun and keep the updates coming. :)

Amy

Erika I'm glad to hear that Teppan Edo was a hit! We have ADRs there for our next trip and have never eaten there...anything that you would reccomend..:confused3

Hope that the rain has stopped and the crowds are thinning out...was EPCOT very crowded due to EMH...?

Thanks so much for this live trip report. I am bringing two friends down from work who have not been there in a very long time and am concerned about the crowds. We arrive on Monday. Could you please keep updating us on how the crowds are?

Howdy folks... we are back from a very long day... and ready to sleep... but I wanted to give an update on crowds and weather. The weather today was cool and rainy. Luckily the rain stopped by lunch time but it really never did warm up. So we had on sweatshirts the whole day. I already told you about our experience at Epcot... for those of you headed down you'll definitely want to arrive at the parks early for the really popular rides... when we got to the Studios (around 2:00) FPs for RnR were already gone for the day, and the park was very full. We ended up watching the Block Party Bash, catching the 4:00 American Idol Experience... then Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground, meet and greet with Lightning and Mater, and the Animation Studio... that was all we could do before dinner at Mama Melrose. Dinner was good as usual, there were 12 of us total at dinner and everyone liked their food. I was named "Chef of the Day" and got a special dessert and chef hat with my name on it that said Happy Birthday. So that was neat. :) I took a TON of pictures, but I'm too sleepy to upload them tonight. After dinner we did Star Tours (walk on), the Great Movie Ride (20 minutes), and the kids loved the Dance Party at Playhouse Disney. We did some shopping, and that was it. We never did get a chance to do any of the popular rides. (like ToT, RnR, Toy Story, etc) And there was no Fantasmic tonight which I thought was suprising since it was an EMH evening until 11:00 PM. But we are heading back early in the morning to attempt to get FPs for Toy Story Mania. My best advice to everyone is to use early mornings and late nights .... and of course of FP for things you really want to do.

Tomorrow's plan: Toy Story Mania, RnR, ToT, then lunch at Sci-fi. Hopefully a swimming break after that if the weather warms up... then dinner at the Kona Cafe followed by some shopping at DTD (no parks are open late tomorrow night). And it will be my BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!:cool1::dance3::cheer2::woohoo: But don't ask me how old I'll be!! ;)

Good night!!!!!! :cloud9:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!:cool1::woohoo::banana:

I am really enjoying your trip report. I can't wait to hear about your Kona meal.

Have a wonderful wonderful BIRTHDAY!!!! I'm enjoying your reports. Thanks for sharing!!!!

Happy Birthday Erica! Being at WDW is a great b-day present, isn't it? :cloud9:

Just wanted to comment on the OKW 2 bedroom villa. We stayed in one a few years back and loved the spaciousness of it. The master bedroom was really nice with the king bed and the private bath w/ the stand up shower.

Enjoying your reports as usual! :)

I just found your trip report and love it! Thanks for sharing with us.

Wishing you a magical BIRTHDAY today! :bday:

Hey Everyone!!! :)

We had an awesome day at the Studios... got there early and did a ton of stuff.... Little Mermaid, High School Musical 3, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story, Indiana Jones, lunch at Sci-fi, shopping, it was awesome!! :cool1: Parks are busy, but we got into all the shows with no problem. Toy Story of course took a FP and they were gone quick... so we were lucky to arrive early. Lunch was great... burgers, onion rings, yum yum! ;) I've been getting tons of Birthday treats today... I got my FREE $75 gift card (since I'm an AP holder) I got a card from Mickey here at our room with an autographed picture... I got another card at lunch today from the whole crew at Sci-fi with their signatures. The bus driver played a special Birthday message for me... it's just the BEST birthday ever!!!! :thumbsup2

I have taken so many pics, I think I'm up to 400!!!! :scared1: I'll keep updating this thread with the highlights, then all the pics will be posted on my website once I get home. Here are some from yesterday.......

Hey peeps! :grouphug:

No EMH tonight so we are back in the villa just relaxing. :) Man I'll tell ya, these things are so big, all six of us can go to different areas and not even know each other is here. I am sooooo stuffed from dinner, I love Kona but I always feel sick after eating it all. We had the sticky wing appetizer, then steak terriyaki, and Kilaeua Torte for dessert. YUM! :goodvibes

Tomorrow is DAY EIGHT of ten so we are coming to the end. :sad1: I think the plan is to hit AK and do the Safari first. Then Nemo and Lion King. Dinner tomorrow night is Cape May followed by Illuminations. :wizard:

The weather was beautiful today. Sunny and warm. :flower3:

Any questions????

Have you gone to any of the morning EMHs? How were the crowds then? Did you notice that the parks were more crowded when they had morning EMH as opposed to just a regular schedule for the day?

How's the temp?

Nikkibell - We have totally avoided morning EMH. We choose whichever park isn't having the early morning and try to go right when it opens. Usually we have been there either right before it opens or shortly after and haven't had any problems. Yesterday we got to the Studios around 9:15 and our FP time for Toy Story was Noon. The day before that we went to Epcot right at 9:00 and got FP for Soarin' at 11:00. But I have noticed FPs running out in the afternoons so mornings are important.

The weather has been great except for one day when it was cold and rainy. But all the other days it was high 70's and low 80's.... nights are cool and in the 50's and 60's. We usually change into warmer clothes, sweatshirts, etc.

:)

Hi!

How busy was Kona Cafe last night? What time was your ADR? Was the food as good as usual?
