Hi!! I am a complete wimp when it comes to scary rides. However, I have survived Kraken and aerosmith in the past. How does the Mummy compare to other rides? (I@ve never been on The Hulk).

Thankyou!!!

I hate roller coasters!

You would never even get me to set foot on Kraken! I've ridden Rock n Roll at Disney and thought it was HORRIBLE! Never again!

We rode the Mummy for the first time last weekend and I LOVED it!!!

You'll do great :)

Thanks Teresa! That makes me feel much better. My husband will be pleased to get me on it!

MOm and I rode it a couple of weeks ago... I am a big wimp, too, and wouldn't ride any of the other coasters there... but realyl enjoyed it. My throat hurt when I got off from screaming my head off, but it was fun. You can always close your eyes, I did that on occasion LOL =)

Closing eyes = bad. There are so many effects that are worth keeping your eyes open for!

Ok I may have a problem. I hate roller coasters but love the little rides like space mountain. I went on RNR last year (my first real rollercoaster) and I will never do it again. The drops and flips got to me. I got off that ride and my stomach hurt for 3 hours afterwards. It felt like I did a million sit-ups. Thats how much I must have tightened my stomach. The tears were just coming down my face when I got off b/c the ride really got to me. So what I'm actually asking is if anyone could tell me or even private message me exactly the intensity of the ride is or describe it in detail or comparing it to other rides. Is it fast , if so how fast? how big is the biggest drop? those are some questions I have too.

Sorry to be such a pest but I would love to hear more about this b/c I really want to try it. Thanks!

I HATE roller coasters. I am terrified of them. Like you, I went on RNR last year. I thought I could handle it. I had chest pains and felt sick the moment that horrible ride shot off! And like you, it lasted for hours.

The Mummy DOES have some "lose your stomach" moments, but it isn't the same type of coaster as RNR. It's also much smoother, IMO, than Space Mountain. I will never again ride RNR but can't wait to ride The Mummy again!

You will love this ride!!!

Teresa

The Mummy is not as scary as Space Mountain. Space Mountain is very jerky where Mummy is very smooth. You will survive.

I am a 43 yrs old and I enjoy space mtn, rocknrollercoaster and Big thunder mtn. you want to know the truth? the mummy scared me to death the first time I rode it. it was wilder than people told me and there were small take your stomach drops and it was fast. maybe it's because I was nervous, but I thought it was worse than described. I'm just being honest about "my" experience. but, I did get back on it and ride it 3 more times to break my fear and I yelled my head off each and every time. :D it is not one of my favorites though. I still have a bruise on my elbow when my arm hit something when it took off fast.
a million dollars couldn't get me on the kraken!

I don't like some of the rougher roller coasters with the big lose your stomach moments either, but I didn't think the Mummy really had either, and I felt it was over before I knew it...I would really like to ride it again, because I feel like I missed alot...it was fun. The worst part is not knowing what is next, but that is the fun of it all! I thought it was not as gut-wrenching as some of your major roller coaster...it is just really different. I think if you like Space Mountain you will be okay....(my 2 cents)!

You will love the Mummy. Try it at least once!

Fast? Yes, in the rollercoaster parts. Top speed is 40mph and has an inclined launch similar to Hulk. RNR's top speed is over 60mph and launches you from a standstill.

The biggest drop is about 30ft, but it's a sharp drop-over 50 degrees.
