The Mr & Mrs do disney Nov/Dec 09 - UPDATE : can the last one out turn the lights off

YOU SO SWEET.

Seriously though, how late are you staying at MK on the 3rd? We have dinner at 4:30, figure we'll probably be done by 6:00pm. There's going to be a birthday cake that needs to be taken back to our room before we can get to MK. So I'm guessing we'll be there right at 7pm, maybe a little after. Are we going to miss you? Do we need to come up with an alternate plan? :scared1:
:scared1: I have to leave MK by 6:45pm in order to make it to my 7:55pm ADR at WCC, I figured I would need about an hour especially since I will be leaving the park rough around the same time as every other non MVMCP goer. We'll have to make alternate plans, I really want to meet you and Ron.

I think we'll give target a miss then but will add dollar general in its place :thumbsup2 Thanks for the tips

Yeah, I've dealt with it now - there's nothing we can do about it so I've just gotta move on :) Like you say, we're all meeting up and that's the main thing :grouphug: :woohoo:
In my opinion Target is just a more expensive version of WalMart. Dollar General normally has some Disney stuff, mostly princess stuff, but Dollar Tree should turn out some good stuff.

Was just wondering who is everyone's fave characters? Do you collect things of a certain character?

Obviously mine is Stitch  But i'm also partial to Chip n Dale, Pluto and Kermit & Miss Piggy :lovestruc Den loves Goofy :goodvibes
I would say my favorites are Kermit and Goofy they are both tied for #1 I would marry either of them:lmao: as for the princesses I Think Cinderella is my favorite, she came from meager beginnings and still managed to nab her a prince and castle.

Hi guys, I am an Eeyore and Tigger fan I also love Squirt from Nemo as for fav princess Belle is my absolute I even bought the entire village from Beauty and the Beast when Disney store put it on sale a few years ago I was bad cause it was about $600 at half off but it is still one of my prize possesions. The end of the movie makes me cry everytime I watch it:hug::hug:

Eeyore! Can't believe I forgot to mention him!! That village sounds beautiful :cutie:

:dance3::cool1: Congrats on 1000 posts!! :cool1::dance3:

Thanks honey  Not long for you now, bet you are crazy busy with the packing but really excited??

I've been busy this weekend so I'm catching up now!! I'm sorry about the whole taping thing. I can't believe they are letting people in for free. You said that they are allowed to attend MVMCP by just showing their park ticket from the day?!!! That is crazy that you are paying $50+ for the party and your day ticket and they can go for free??!! I would call and see if you can go to another party on a different day. If the guests have to leave before the party starts that would be fine!

Congrats on the 1,000 post!

Hey honey  I don't think they can use their day time ticket for it, but I dont think they are gonna be kicked out either :confused3 I'm giving up thinking about it because it's totally fried my brain  Thanks for the congrats! How's your plans coming along?

My favorite characters are (in semi-specific order):
* Classic 1930's Mickey, Minnie & Pluto
* Snow White
* Jack & Sally as a unit, not separately
* Nemo will always have a place in my heart... it was my Foster Son's favorite movie... I got the tattoo to never forget him

Madi's favorite is ever changing. She has Mickey, Minnie & Pluto snuggle-buddies in her bed, and I have noticed she favors Pluto more often than the others...

Shamus' favorite, if forced (:rotfl2:) to answer would be Tigger.

I'm ashamed to admit that I have never watched a nightmare before christmas  I shall put it on my rental list :thumbsup2

Awww bless, I didnt realise that was the story behind your tattoo

Madi is just too cute

:rotfl2: Shamus makes me laugh!

Thanks for the tips, i'm getting excited about this shopping trip now :thumbsup2

Kermie :yay: Den will love you even more now he nows Goofy is on your fave list  I agree on the cinderella thing, wish I had a godmother who could work that kinda magic on me

Lets see...I LOVE Mickey and DH is a Pluto fan. I also really love Jack (and Sally). And the Muppets, specifically Kermit and Miss Piggy!!

I'm sorry the taping is messing up your plans, it's kind of poopy of Disney to be letting people in for free, I mean aren't there enough people that are going to pay to be there?!?!? :confused3 I hope everything works out for you, I think that it will. I've been putting out some vibes so that the parks work out for my DIS friends. I understand how frustrating this is. I mean we all spend all this time, MONTHS, pouring over plans, and park hours and ADR's and show times and schedules only for Disney to turn around and throw a wrench in the plans like a month before it's time to go.

No worries, I have a feeling it will all work out!!

Well, I'm about to jump off a very HIGH bridge! Just been reading Ty and Billie's journals and they've found out that its now going to be taping day on the 3rd Dec :scared1: Words cannot express how much stress and upset this is causing me right now!!!

Members of the public can get in for free whilst we've PAID for tickets!!! So the park is gonna be unbearable, then to add salt to this wound .... we've PAID for tickets to MVMCP that night - which is now gonna be PACKED because you only have to show ur ticket to get on the rides!

I feel so sick

This holiday was meant to be amazing and yet it's been one hassle after another and now it's just turning into a nightmare and I really feel like I want to cancel :sad1:

JoJo...I called to talk to someone about this. They informed me that the taping would be later in the afternoon and that it would not be too long. They are doing this so that it doesn't take up too much of any of the days. Also, they said that the public does not get in for free. Anyone going to the taping...even if they sign up will have to pay for a ticket. So, don't get too upset! It will all be ok!

My 1,000th post!!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I'd like to give you all a big squishy hug as you are the one's who have listened to me ramble on and reach this milestone  So, here ya go :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Yay for 1000!! I'm coming up right behind you!

Right girlies, need your help!

I'm trying to decide which shops to put on the list to hit when we're outside of disney. So far i've got walmart, dollar tree, petsmart, bass pro, some of the cheap gift shops on i-drive and then have a wander through some of the outlets maybe. Are there any shops you think I should add? I've heard you guys talking about target? :confused3 Basically i'm looking for places that will have some nice cheap disney things

Hmmm...not too sure about what Disney stuff you will find there, but I LOVEEEEEEEE Target! They have such cute stuff!

Was just wondering who is everyone's fave characters? Do you collect things of a certain character?

Obviously mine is Stitch  But i'm also partial to Chip n Dale, Pluto and Kermit & Miss Piggy :lovestruc Den loves Goofy :goodvibes

My all time fav is Goofy. Has been since I was a kid. But, as an adult, I have grown to love Tink also!

Yay another muppets fan :woohoo: I really need to watch nightmare before christmas dont I - all you guys seem to love it!

I'm trying to forget about the taping etc... now, there's nothing I can do so I'm just gonna try and avoid main street and the hub area that day :thumbsup2 I hope all our plans work out too, and i'm putting some pixie dust out there for all of us :wizard:

Yep! :goodvibes 12 days to go. The majority of the packing is done. . . .just waiting now!! :yay:

12 days  that's soooo soon :yay: I need to catch up with your journal!! I hope there are lots of fun & crazy packing photos

I'm sure the links took people to a place to get free tickets :confused3 As long as the queues arent crazy for anything because of them then i'm all good now. I've added a bit more time at MK on another day and am gonna hit main street shops and the parade that day so we dont have to go near that area on the 3rd :thumbsup2 Thanks for your help honey

Another goofy fan! You are all gonna get along great with my DH :goodvibes

A MONTH TODAY

:woohoo::santa::banana::yay::dance3::cool1::wizard::love::cheer2:

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay

Just a little update! I've been doing well with the christmas shopping, bought most of the gifts for everyone now ... apart from the bits we're getting in disney :cool1: I booked our car hire :woohoo: I phoned the cake hotline last night and left a message but no-one has phoned me back, maybe because we're in the uk :confused3 So i'm going to try again tonight. I've decided on a christmas themed cake with kermit and miss piggy sat on it :santa: Hope they can do something like that :wizard:

I still havent had an email off disney about the trip or anything through the post - should I receive anything? Or do you only get something if you are using magical express? :confused3

YAY for one month! And YAY for getting so much done!!! :cool1:

*Can't help with the mail question... sorry, but I know someone else surely can!

Yay for a Month Away! :dance3:

I think the cake ordering is 2 weeks from the date you need it. I don't know about international visitors. :confused3 When I did it for May, they called me back about 2 days before I left. It was maddening! If I ever order a cake again, it will only be for a resort restaraunt. There is a serious cake thread on the DIS. :cake:

You are supposed to get your "mickey mail" 30 days out, so you should be getting yours any day now! :wizard:

Did you see that there was some sort of special at the UK site? The disney Store sent a tweet about it. :thumbsup2

Hey Jojo!!! We're still waiting too... Any day now...

You seem to be ticking things off your to do list!!! And I love the cake idea. I really need to see pictures of this cake. What kind of cake is it going to be!?!?! mmmmm I love chocolate cake!!

JoJo- we got our ME stuff in the mail on Saturday. I would maybe give them a call since you are only one month out.

I also have the e-mail for the actual lady who runs the cake department. If you want it, just let me know and I can PM it to you.

Thanks for the advice honey, i'll call them tomorrow when I get home from work - will let you know how I get on. But YAY for you getting your documents :yay:

Pat has just rang me back :woohoo: Unfortunately they dont hold the licence to the muppets so we cant have kermit and miss piggy, so we are now having mickey & minnie with a christmassy theme :santa: Can't wait to get my chops around that cake *drools* hope it's just as good as the wedding one, I still dream of that sucker every night  That would be great if you could give me her email address, just incase I need to contact her about anything else, or just to confirm the order nearer the time - thanks honey

Yep, getting things ticked off that list is definately a great feeling :goodvibes Started doing our park plans earlier but have given in for now because my mind is getting a bit frazzled

We can't have the muppets now :sad1: but are having mickey and minnie instead, christmas themed :santa: It's going to be a 10inch vanilla sponge cake with strawberry mousse filling, then buttercream frosting and then fondant decor over that. We are going to be eating it everyday and I can't wait :rotfl2: I'll take lots of pictures :cutie:

Yay for a Month Away!

Hiya  That cake thread is so addictive and has some beautiful cakes on there - have you seen the haunted mansion one's - they are stunning! I've just heard from Pat at the GF and placed our order :wizard:

I'm so excited about the mickey mail, hope it comes soon :dance3:

I havent seen the special, but I will have a nosey for it now :surfweb:

YAY for one month! And YAY for getting so much done!!! :cool1:

Thanks sweetie

where is the cake coming from? I've gotten my mom one from WL private dining and it was good but the one they got me from CSR was wayyy better and it was private dining as well. I was thinking about maybe ordering one for our first night at YC as their bakery is better and then somehow transport it to WL the next day. What do you think???

It's from the GF - it's being delivered during our meal at the GF cafe :) I was gonna get one from WL but dont think you can have them personalised too much. Maybe get one at YC like you say and then just carry it over to the other resort the next day :confused3 have you got an adr's at GF or Contemp? You could get one from either of those and they do really great cakes :thumbsup2

Thought i'd post a quick version of our final plan - hopefully it wont change again  I'll post another version over the weekend with our 'in-depth' plans and must do's etc... :goodvibes

Nov 27th - Travel day, 9 and a half hour flight  Check into WL and then head to GF for dinner at GF Cafe and have our cake delivered :wizard:

Nov 28th - Breakfast with Stitch at Ohanas, then head out to walmart to pick up supplies and have a good nosey for disney goodies  Then head over to epcot for dinner at Garden Grill and make sure we see Illuminations that night.

Nov 29th - Hollywood Studios all day with evening magic hours. I neeeeed to ride toy story - this is first on my 'not coming home without doing' list :wizard: We've got adr's at Sci-Fi for lunch and dinner, what can I say, we are suckers for burgers and cocktails

Nov 30th - Breakfast at WCC and just chill out at wilderness lodge, then head over to MK for 2pm and pick a spot for the parade. Then have lunch at the plaza. Then go shop crazy on main street and go on a character hunt. Then watch spectro and wishes, then we've got dinner at LTT and will do haunted mansion etc... afterwards. Extra magic evening.

Dec 1st - We've got our anniversary photoshoot this morning :yay: Then we are spending the rest of the day on i-drive and that area shopping :woohoo:

Dec 2nd - Chef Mickeys for breakfast and then spending the rest of the day at DTD with T-rex for lunch and Raglan Road for dinner - and you know, some cocktails  sluuuuuurp!

Dec 3rd (The dreaded day :lmao: ) - MK all day with breakfast at CP and then MVMCP that evening - counter service meals that day. Meet up with Billie and Ty that day  Erin were you in MK that day too?

Dec 4th - Epcot all day - hit future world first and then we'll be drinking around the world :wizard: Meet up with Nic, and then Billie and Tammy, and I think I remember Erin saying she was there that day too? Then we've got Le Cellier for dinner

Dec 5th - AK day, breakfast with Donald :yay: then do some bits in the park, then head over to disney quest and then we've got Ohana for dinner that night :cutie:

Dec 6th - Fly home :sad1: :sad1:

So what do you all think? I'll write up a proper plan soon :goodvibes

Your plan sounds fanfriggintastic! I can't believe you are at a month, seems like just yesterday you were counting down until you could make your ADR's.
Hopefully your Disney mail comes soon.
