Not a movie, but that show "Night Stalker." I watched that once when I was like 4th grade or so. Dang, I was so skeeved out after that :scared: I've seen it since then and I'm always rotflmao at how stupid it is.

Hm -- I still am creeped out by birds because of this movie... that and the fact that my grandmother's macaw bit me when I was 7. (and the fact that birds have flown down the chimney while I was home alone). I won't watch this movie ever again - once was enough.

But, the one about the killer bees -- I can say I am no longer scared of bees (as long as they maintain a safe distance from me)

LOL The birds creeped me out as a kid, but not so much anymore..........it was on around halloween and we watched it. when we were at the Poly in november my dd looked up and all along one of the longhouses ( we were in the pool) there were birds, tons of birds.........she said " look mommy it is like that movie the birds here!"

Poltergeist freaked me out at the time with the moving steak and the guy peeling his own face off. Both seem pretty cheesy special effects now.

Not to high jack your thread. But does anyone remember that Mel Brooks movie "High Anxiety"? There was a scene in there where he parodied "The Birds". The scene where the woman is sitting on the park bench and the birds began to mass on the nearby playground equipment. In the Brooks movie he gets scared and begins to run, but the birds don't attack him. Instead they begin to dive bomb him and cover him in bird poop! That has always been one of my favorite funny scenes in a movie. :rotfl:

But on topic, I remember staying up late when I was a kid to watch Creature Feature. And that movie "The Creature From The Black Lagoon" scared me good. :scared:

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. Anyone remember that one? I think it would still scare me though even in present day.

Here is a review off Amazon:
I remember seeing "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" on TV when I was a kid. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark was originally made for TV back in 1973. There are movies that stick with you for the rest of your life- this movie stuck with me!! It's the creepiest movie that I have ever seen. I saw it a few years ago on late night TV and it scared me just as much as it did when I was a kid!! Don't Be Afraid of the Dark starts with a young couple inheriting an old victorian style house. They don't know that the house is inhabited by three small demons that are locked in a blocked off fireplace. The caretaker, played by William Demarest(Uncle Charlie from "My Three Sons") warns Sally, played by Kim Darby, that some things are better left alone when she wants the old fireplace opened up. Sally attempts to open the fireplace thus releasing the three small demons into the house. They then want her for thier own. Strange things begin to happen around the house and Sally at first begins to question her own sanity. She sees the demons and her husband Alex, played by Jim Hutton, does not believe her. I think the scariest part of this movie is how vulnerable Sally feels. She cannot feel safe even at a dinner party (she sees one of the demons on her lap under a napkin) The demons cannot stand light and only attack in the dark. I can still hear the whispering whenever I think of this movie. Sally.....Sally......Sally.....Sally..... Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is the creepiest movie ever made. What amazes me the most is that it was made for TV!

I was terrified of The Shinning and Watcher in the Woods when I was little. I'd still watch them though. :rotfl2: And, any scene from the Wizard of Oz with the Wicked Witch of the West in it.

Anyone remember the original Fly with David Hedison (Vogage To The Bottom of The Sea)...that was creepy back in the day when he had a fly body but his one arm and his face was human:eek: He gets trapped in a spider web and the spider is descending on him and he is screaming..."Help me....Help me" in this little voice:scared1: That was creepy:eek:

actually, to this day...I'm skeeved out by Birds on a wire. :teeth: My DD walked in while I was watching that though and was :lmao: at the cheesy fake birds and couldn't believe it skeered me. :teeth::lmao:

That oozing gets me every time. :scared1:

I thought of another movie that does still creep me out even after all these years - Rosemary's Baby.

Rosemary's Baby was the late movie when I was in the hospital after giving birth to my son:eek: :rotfl: Very Creepy

'Sally.....Sally......Sally.....Sally' can still totally creep me out! :scared1:

I watched the Birds a few weeks ago and I thought.....what horrible acting and I was TERRIFIED of it when I first saw it.....it was the last night showing at the local theater and my sister in law was supposed to go with me....she had a migrane and I said I was going anyways......FREAKED me out.....I was so scared I had to call my mother to come and pick me up ....
Pyscho freaked me out as well....still does...CUJO was another one....my sister had two st. bernards and all I could think of were her dogs.....

Speaking of "The Birds"....I told her not to open the door and go in there!
Doesnt anyone listen anymore? LOL

The House on Haunted Hill with Vincent Price. Seeing it now, it seems cheesey. These movies were aired on Chiller Theatre when I was kid. But the one that really freaked me out was The Thing From Another World. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5t6PkP1ndc

It was not what you saw but rather what you didn't see. The 1982 version of The Thing wasn't bad either.
