Wow, I watched Mean Girls last night, and could not believe how many SNL members were in it. It should of been much funnier with all that comedic talent. :rotfl2:

Anyone else notice that?

I hate to admit this, but I really enjoyed that movie. I thought it was very clever, and much funnier than most teen comedies.

Plus, Lindsay Lohan looked good in it. :smooth:

I liked it too. The reason there are so many SNLers is that it was written by Tina Fey and produced by Lorne Michaels.

Tina Fey is awesome in it too! Great writing...and great acting all around IMO.

Yep. I like Tina and I think she just had a baby!

Exactly! I loved this movie.

I actually bought this for my 13 year old. Since I teach in a HS I thought it was very funny.
Ann-Marie Gasteyer (sp?) who was Celine Dion on SNL (and Lindsay Lohan's mom in this movie) is Elphaba in "Wicked" in Chicago right now. I saw it last month and she is AWESOME!
Robin M.

Tina Fey had a major role in that movie-- like a producer or director, though I don't think an acting role. Or was it Lorne and her? I can't remember now.

I find Tina Fey's writing is very funny.. but her acting is a tad off.

I'm not that fond of Lindsay Lohan's acting either.

Tina Fey did just have a baby in September. Amazingly she is back at work already (I think she had a very short leave, like 4-5 weeks). Maya Rudolph also just had a baby as well... like two weeks ago. I'm sure we will see Maya back very soon also.

Tina Fey had a role in the film...she was a teacher I believe...and she played it well.

I actually thought it was quite hilarious. And I had low expectations before viewing it.

Little bit of trivia....

The SNL lady who plays Regina George's mother is actually practically the same age as the girl who's mother she plays (Rachel McAdams plays Regina) - both are about 30ish I believe!

Rachel McAdams is 26 (according to the November issue of Glamour)

It was a cute movie. I enjoyed it. I just don't think there were many LOL moments.

Some parts were dumb. Like how she would fantasize the other kids were African wildlife.

I was not aware the extent of the Tina Fey/ Lorne Micheals involvement. That explains the heavy casting of SNL members.
