We went to a yard sale this morning where a lady had both sides of her driveway lined with those big green storage bins, each filled to the brim with razors, vitamins, maxi pads, lotions, stuff for pets, just a staggering assortment. I bought 2 packages of 12 razors for 50 cents a package and a dollar each for bottles of flaxseed oil capsules. When I was paying for them I asked the lady "CVS much?" She just laughed and said it was actually her sister. I swear they had to have hit up every CVS in a 50-mile radius to get all that stuff. They are doing it again tomorrow, we may go back just to take pictures :rotfl2:

Are you in Ohio? I have an internet friend who I think lives in Ohio, and she had to build storage shelves in her basement for all the stuff she gets through CVSing... It's insane!

That sounds like my SIL. She netted $1,800 at her last sale with CVS stuff and things she found at curbside. I wish I had the organization and wherewithall to do that:)

I'm having a sale like that next weekend. I had one in May with the City Wide Sale and made $2300. My stockpile is getting up there again so am having another sale (along with 5 other families - so, there will be quite an assortment of items). I do Walgreens, CVS and Target mainly. Mostly Walgreens because they don't have limits like CVS but you have to do your transactions separatly and I have lots of Walgreens by me.

How was she selling things at 50 cents and making a profit? I mean, what did she pay for them to begin with? I must be missing something LOL Then again, we don't have any CVS's :sad2: close by. We do have Walgreens, though, so I'd love to know what the deals are.

You can get alot of freebies using coupons and ECBs (extra care bucks). There is a woman on another board who is the queen of CVSing and she does sells her freebies at garage sales. I wonder of she lives in Ohio.

I am also having a yard sale next week. I was thinking $1.50 for deordorant and mouthwash, $1.00 for toothpaste, and $4.00 for Gillette Fushion Razors. I have lots to sell. This is going to pay for our gas for Disney.

I was sent a package from a very generous DIS about a year ago when I was down on my luck and unemployed that was CHOCK full of CVS and Walgreens stuff...That goodie box lasted my DH and I a long time. I was told it was spare stuff they had laying around anyway and needed to make room for more..LOL...

I wish I could find a yard sale like that..

I admit I'd actual buy someone out of razors/soap if I saw this around me.

Count me out, I just can't do it. Buying toothpaste and deodorant and stuff like that just wigs me out. I buy that from the store, not from someone I don't know. And to me it just seems wrong, I don't know why but it does.

I stopped CVSing about 2 years ago and I am still trying to finish up my last couple tubes of toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, razors, air freshners, etc. I miss the thrill!

Wow that was so nice.

That gives me a great idea for the ladies group at church. Every Christmas we sponsor a nursing home & pack boxes like that. Just think we could do 2 or 3 even if we CVS

I did my first CVS yardsale in June and made $500! :cool1: I can't wait for the next one, because now I know what I can charge and what sells. I also now how cheap I need to buy an item for in order to make a profit. I have shelves in my basement for this stuff, too. My family thinks I'm crazy, but they always seem to leave with stuff when they come to my house.

Hey Girl, when I read this thread I immediately thought of you. Then saw your post! How funny! Let me know how the sale goes :)

My family was the same way....now that I've stopped doing the coupons/sales.... they are really upset that they have to actually buy their own shampoo, razors, and toothbrushes. LOL

I'd only buy razors and body soap. No way I'd get toothpaste or deodorant or vitamins etc.
